Beautiful lakeside home

We were visiting for a nearby family wedding and loved the peaceful, beautiful and quiet location. The a/c worked perfectly, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and very nice layout. We loved the view and sunsets were spectacular! We even got in a few rounds of golf at the course just minutes away. We recommend this home.

The location of this property is great, and the backyard is quiet and enjoyable. The owner was responsive, allowed for early checkin and late check out which we appreciated. HOWEVER, we wouldn’t recommend this rental in its current condition, disappointed in what others had reviewed as a 5 star property.*The interior of the house has a strong damp, musty smell, which seems to be related to past flooding (we understand the area was under about three feet of water at one point). A dehumidifier runs constantly, which helps a bit, but the issue doesn’t feel fully addressed.*Cleanliness was a concern. The bathroom vent was thick with dust, the bottom of the shower curtain had visible pink mold, and the floor showed dirt in the corners. Sheets on one bed had dark stains on them. One bedroom had pillows with an unpleasant smell. The overall feeling inside the house was not healthy or comfortable.*In addition, the floor slopes, which causes beds in two bedrooms to tilt affecting sleep. Some sections of the floor also felt unstable underfoot, with one vent on floor unsecured.*While we appreciate the potential of older homes and the charm of this location, this rental currently does not match the expectations that come with its price. We hope the owner is able to address these issues for future guests, but we personally would not stay here again or recommend it to others.PS: after informing the owner post-stay, the issues were promised to be addressed.

Great stay!

Our family had a great stay here at the end of the summer. The house was ideal for our needs with lots of room. The house is well equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen and lots of outdoor toys. The dock was great and our kids spent a lot of time in the water which is very shallow (under 5 feet) well out from the shore. The bottom is mostly nice and sandy but beware that there are sharp rocks, especially near the dock. All the kids cut their feet, so water shoes are HIGHLY recommended. Overall we had a great stay. We plan to go back next summer.

Long Weekend Stay

Had such a great time with friends at this waterfront house! Everything you need is already there, house is clean and spacious. Didn't need much communication with Gianni, as instructions were very straightforward. Very family friendly house if you bring little ones. We watched the sunset every night on the dock and played the outdoor games that were already there. Backyard is open with neighbours on both sides but they were all so friendly. Such a fun stay, thank you Gianni!

Great place, host was responsive but unaccommodating

The place itself was well maintained, the location was great and the neighbors were extremely friendly. We loved the neighbor’s dog! However, we did encounter an issue with the supply of essentials. We booked 4 nights for 6 guests and the provided 5 rolls of toilet paper and 2 rolls of paper towels were insufficient. When we requested additional supplies, Gianni’s response was less than accommodating, saying “Unfortunately, I don't supply endless amounts of toilet paper and paper towels I leave what is reasonable out." While the property itself was great, the host's attitude towards providing basic necessities was disappointing and enough for us to reconsider booking here again.

Peaceful Lakeside Retreat

Beautiful lakehouse on Lake St. Claire. It was our first time in the area and found it to be so beautiful. The lake house is actually nicer than the pictures do it justice. We met neighbors on either side of the lake house and they were both super friendly and helpful. Gianni was a great host and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a peaceful retreat on the Lake. Sunsets were amazing !!

Wonderful Family Retreat
