About Eleanor Harvey
My parents and I moved to MT from GA in 1997 after my youngest of three sons left home for college. We built O'Carroll's B&B (where I now reside) that year and then this cabin in 2003. We built it to be the ideal cabin if we were planning a trip to the Yellowstone area. As a transplanted southerner, I still get a thrill from the mountain views, the beautiful Yellowstone River, the wildlife, the rainbows, the glorious summers with low humidity; and yes, even the cold winter wonderland days.
Eleanor Harvey purchased this Cabin in 2003
Why Eleanor Harvey chose Pray
Our cabin is literally in the heart of Paradise Valley only 35 miles north of YNP's north gate. We planned this cabin as our ideal place to stay for three or more nights in this beautiful valley. We are only 7 miles from Chico Resort with it's famous hot springs pool and fine dining. Fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting and quiet river floats, scenic airplane flights, rodeos, wildlife observation, and bird watching just begin the list of activities to be enjoyed.
What makes this Cabin unique
Cabin guests are welcome to reserve a place at the breakfast table for a reasonable charge per person. O'Carroll's B&B serves what we consider to be the best breakfasts in the valley.

Spacious cabin overlooking Mount Emigrant
We booked 4 nights in this cabin and we were very pleased with it, The rooms are very spacious and there is plenty of cutlery, plates towels etc., the cabin was also equiped with soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. The weather wasn't very good in fact we had a drop of snow but the view from the cabin is spectacular The 89 runs past the cabin but it was far enough away not to disurb us. Would use again if we were in the area
Thank you for the nice review. I do appreciate it.
Very nice 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage. Well stocked with condiments so check out what's there before going to the store. We found that both places were well stocked with everything you need to make life easier. Set in the beautiful Paradise Valley between 2 mountain ranges and very close to a good restaurant, bar and a well stocked local store. Be prepared to drive because everything in Montana is a good distance apart. The North Yellowstone is about 35 miles away and Livingston is about 25 miles away, with the airport in Bozeman about 40 miles away. Be sure to have breakfast with Mrs. Harvey, she's a delightful independent woman and feeds you breakfast as if you were going to hike back to Yellowstone. Carry layers of clothing. The temperature can fall quite quickly at night because of the elevation and lack of humidity: thus the reason there is really no need for A/C. Great place to stay plus the cabin we stayed in was handicap accessible if you require it.
Thanks for the nice review, It was my pleasure to host you and I'm glad you enjoyed breakfast!
Will come back.....
The Cabin was amazing, views did not disappoint. The Cabin had everything the six of us needed. Enjoyed grilling and eating on the porch with the spectacular view! Proximity to Yellowstone was perfect. Eleanor was a wealth of knowledge and assisted us in planning our daily agenda.
Thank you for the nice review. So glad my tips helped. Come back if you can!
Completely blown away by the cabin. Everything we needed was available. We were just awestruck by the beauty of the surrounding landscape as well. We highly recommend the cabin, we were so pleased with everything. We wish we could stay longer!
Thank you Tammy! Keep on traveling. Thank you for the information you left also.
Loved the view!!
O'Carroll's Cabin was wonderful! The view was spectacular and the cabin had everything we needed during our stay. It was close enough to Yellowstone entrance but not so close to be caught up in all the touristy areas. If you want peace and quite and a beautiful view this is the place to stay. Eleanor was a wonderful host and even invited us to have Elk hamburgers one night!

Wonderful Cabin! Perfect for families!
We stayed at O'Carroll's Yellowstone Cabin for three nights while visiting Yellowstone and it was a perfect place to come back to each night! The set-up is perfect for families.....grandma & grandpa had their own bathroom and bedroom and we shared the other bathroom with our two kids. There was enough space and privacy for everyone. The views of the mountains are amazing both from the porch and from inside the cabin through the large windows! Eleanor is also very accommodating and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Livingston, MT (18 miles north) hosts the largest rodeo in the area July 2-4 each year. There is also a yearly music festival and fiddlers' picnic weekend every summer, a yearly bark in the park event, a county fair, and art shows galore.
