Wonderful Rental!!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent 2 excellent weeks here. House is equipped to the max. Sunsets on the massive deck were grand! Close to many things. Did a day trip to MV. Ventured to Hyannis( too crowded). Took the harbor cruise in New Bedford ( great!). Favorite was dinner tavern in Mattapoisett. What a charming town. The house has fun kayaks and croquet and bocce etc etc etc ! I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful sunsets

  • 4 of 5

The inside spaces looking out into the bay made for a special weeks vacation. The full deck is getting a little tired and is sparsely furnished, but offers spectacular sunsets. There are many amenities in the house, especially outdoor games, kayaks. bikes, row boat that allow you to pack a little lighter. Tics jump out at you as you walk the path to the bay, check your kids often but mosquitos were not a problem ( though biting flies were). We tried several beaches and were disappointed until we hit Horseneck beach; (West Island and the town beach we left after only an hour). The spaciousness of the home allowed for many guests comfortably but this house could use a little updating to its tired decor and towels that didn't look like they were salvaged from Goodwill. We usually vacation on Cape Anne and will probably return there in the future.

Waterfront, Sunset Views, and Family Friendly are highlights of this property!

  • 4 of 5

Eleven of us visited this multi-storied waterfront home and we enjoyed the views and sunsets from the wraparound deck. The sleeping accommodations were excellent and the kitchen had everything and more. The grounds are lush but there is a walkway to the waterfront. The location is central to the Cape, Boston, and Providence with easy access to highways but still retaining the small town feel with shops of all kinds. New Bedford is nearby across the bridge and offers boat tours of all kinds (fishing, etc) if you plan in advance.

Beautiful Summer House on Buzzard's Bay

  • 5 of 5

We visited for 5 days in October to spend some time with our son and his family who live in Providence. We wanted a spacious house with plenty of amenities in order to accomodate our son's family of eight. We were not disappointed. The house is very spacious and the yard and walkway to the bay are very nice. The grandkids were impressed with the wide array of books, games and yard equipment; croquet was a real hit.

The kitchen was furnished more completely than any vacation rental we've ever had. The stove was a little tricky, but we were able to figure it out with the helpful tips from the property manager. When we arrived, we were given a thorough tour by Daniel, the property manager, who answered every question we had and made himself available for any other needs we might have during our stay. The house was very clean and even better than the description in the listing.

In summary, the house is well-kept and thoroughly stocked with everything you could want for a seaside vacation. The views of the bay are outstanding and available from most rooms in the house. We would not hesitate to rent the house again on a return visit.

Birthday Celebration

  • 4 of 5

This is a wonderful home with large open plan enabling us to celebrate our daughter's 60th birthday, with her aunts, uncles, friends and cousins.

Thanks for the special long weekend. Although it was windy and blustery outside, it was warm with love and togetherness, beautiful water views, fantastic sunsets. There were plentiful beds although only 6 of us were able to stay, so we had our pick.

On Sunday, we enjoyed trip to Fairhaven Zoo and then drove to New Bedford.

Thanks for giving us another happy family memory.

Great location, home, ocean, beach, people, kayak, fishing, design, wild life, and much more!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

From the beginning the communication was great!! Perfect location to the ocean, beach, Boston, Newport RI, the Cape, Plymouth, and so much more!! It is rare that you find a place that is better then what is explained - this was one of them. I have stayed at several home rentals and most we ok and came close to the descriptions. This was the first that by far exceeded our expectations! I almost do not want to give a good review here since it may be harder to rent this in the future and the rental cost may increase - but this is too nice not to share!!! There is every thing you need here. The kayaks were great!!! We saw a seal swimming up the coast. The bike trips in the area was amazing. We for about 16 miles on the area dedicated trails that was rewarding in views that you would never get any other way! GO TO WEST ISLAND!! The beach was great, the nature trails were wonderful, and the culture was refreshing. Met several families and all treated you with warm open hands! Great neighborhood! Saw deer right in the back yard! We took the row boat out twice - this is a little hard to move and does have water come in from the center mast connector - but still was good. Interior is great and love the decor! Beds were great. Room layout was nice! Kitchen was very function! The ocean breeze was perfect and flowed with ease when you wanted it and opened the ample windows and doors. We will be back!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing you home!
