What makes this bungalow unique

There are many unique features in the house, the views, the beautiful fireplace, the gallery landing on the first floor or the handmade stained glass doors leading from the dining room into the sitting room but it has a unique atmosphere when you walk through the door which is a special welcome to all guests.

Wonderful getaway in Kenmare!

  • 5 of 5

We had 2 families stay here for a wedding event in Kenmare. There was plenty of room and very comfortable for all 11 of us. Aileen was wonderful to work with and gave us suggestions on things to do when we weren't at wedding events. Love the view! The only challenge was getting up the driveway. :-)

Abundant space inside and out!

  • 5 of 5

we found the home clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The kitchen had all the pots and pans and bowls of home. Kenmare is a wonderful town and convenient to day trips we had planned. Aileen was wonderful with great suggestions of points of interest. Thank you so much.

House was lovely. There were nine of us for my husband's 30th birthday. It was perfect and comfortably fit us all. Everyone had a blast and I would highly recommend the property to anyone!

Kenmare Cracker!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I and our 2 year old spent 5 nights in this super hillside holiday home. Initially as mother of a toddler I was nervous about our holiday location but I was pleasantly surprised. The house was clean, welcoming and well maintained & we would recommend the house to other family members with mixed aged groups.

The house is in a superb location, Kenmare is a 10 minute drive for any of your supplies, places to eat and shop. We ate in Jam cafe one afternoon which was lovely.

We did combination of eating out and cooking at home as the kitchen is fully equipped. For day trips we were very close to beautiful beaches and towns to visit, Sneem was a great place for a cuppa and an ice-cream. Muckross House and Gardens is a must. The local Drumquinna Manor is beautiful and worth a visit.

The weather was mixed but it did not dampen our enthusiasm.

Its a fine big house and could cater for large groups for New years or Christmas gatherings. Enjoy!

The property is 5 minutes from Templenoe Pier, which is a hub of activity for the local community, swimming, fishing, boating (each pier in the area has it's own crews and races are held on Sundays during the summer months and are hottly contested), kayaking, triathalon training, shellfish collecting and, of course, a chat!

We are halfway between two other local community hubs, Pat Spillane's Pub and the Blackwater Tavern Pub in Blackwater. The Blackwater Tavern holds traditional dances on Friday nights, which are fantastic way to meet the local people and learn more about the area.

Cappanacush is 10 minutes drive from Kenmare town with its award winning restaurants and bars. We are minutes from Dromquinna Resort and the fabulous Boat House Restaurant.

The house is minutes from the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara is just across the Bay. To drive across the Caha Pass and down into West Cork to the towns of Glengarriff and Bantry is a must, as should a trip to Garnish Island be.

You have a choice of golf courses from the Ring of Kerry course (less then 5 minutes from the house), to the Kenmare Golf Club, to the internationally renowned Waterville Links Course or Killarney Golf Club (where the Irish Open was held). There is no shortage of golf courses each with a more spectacular view than the previous one.

Almost directly across the bay is Star Sailing Activity Centre with both land and water based activities for all the family. If a more sedate pace is your preferance there are a choice of boat tours of the bay to spot the wild life and hidden trasures which can only be viewed from the water.
