Less than 15 minute walk to the Metro/8 min direct ride on the Metro to the Air & Space Museum on the National Mall. We are 200 feet from 16th Street. Walk from the door of the apartment to the front door of the The White House in 25 minutes (1 1/3 miles) straight down 16th. From the corner of our street you can see The White House lit up at night .............. The perfect location for sightseeing... a quiet historic neighborhood yet minutes from everything ................. Our historic street has majestic 100 year old ginkgo trees that all turned a golden yellow at the same time each fall .............. More than 40 restaurants, cafes and bars are less than 2 blocks away but you will be on a quiet residential street with its huge 100 yr old ginkgos ............... Kevin, an adorable cockapoo, provides security for the property.

We had a fabulous time, and I would most definitely stay here again!We arrived from the airport to find our Host Ed, outside the unit walking his dog, Kevin.He showed us where to get the keys, how to use the locks, asked if we have any questions, reminded us he was just a text away. Not only was the unit exactly like it was shown online, but it was also immaculate, private, and he had welcomed us with fresh flowers in the unit! Very nice touch. This location was near everything with just a short walk we had restaurants, grocery, bus and metro transportation. We were away from the busy downtown, but only a short Uber ride away.We may be back in the fall and if so, I will look to see if this is available again.Thank you Ed, for making our week in D.C. a special time to remember.

Very accommodating host! He lives upstairs and is available if needed. He was so nice to let us check-in a bit early as our flight was earlier in the day. The place was just what our family of 4 needed for 3 days & 4 nights in DC. It was clean & comfortable. The beds were nice, small working kitchen, clean bathroom w/nice shower & plenty of towels, smart TV, long couch that all 4 of us could sit on, great working heat (it was 40 degrees out!), washer/dryer, & we felt safe. Ed had fresh flowers on the table for us to enjoy!!The location was great! We were walking distance from many restaurants, shops & a Trader Joe's was a 5-6 minute walk away. Many of the main sites/monuments/museums are between 15-20 minute Uber ride.
