The host was very responsive and even ensured a couple of additional items were at the cottage for our stay. We were also welcomed with a bottle of wine. The cottage has a beautiful view of Lake Michigan.

Incredible cabin and view in a perfect location. The space was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The entrance to Newport State Park within walking distance was a nice benefit. Alyssa was a great host and easy to communicate with throughout the stay. We hope to be back.

The lake View is amazing, Sunrise's are beautiful. Nice quiet, private area. I definitely recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker along for listening to music, & connecting it to the projector. (Makes listening to movies much better). This was a nice anniversary getaway for my wife and I!

We had an excellent stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and just as described. Best of all is the setting -- it was as though we had the lake all to ourselves. Just beautiful. Thank you to our kind hosts for a memorable week away from the hustle bustle of the city.

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for; a clean, quiet and comfortable getaway with an incredible view. The location couldn't have been better - far enough away from anything touristy to really be secluded, yet close enough to essentials to make for an easy stay. The house itself was impeccably clean, well organized and so comfortable. We literally couldn't have asked for anything more.

Beautiful property. We felt secluded which is what we desired. Very close to the Washington ferry. We always enjoy the island. Nice to watch the ferry boats and the sailboats as the evening fades. We cooked almost all our meals. No issues there. The nearby beach seems private and good for a swim. A box of Kleenex would be great (my wife's input) Our host was very quick to reply to questions.

My partner and I were in awe of how beautiful and naturally sensual this space was, the wind off the bay thrummed the wooden structure of the cottage like a harp. The shape of the cottage with its strong angles and minimalist rustic design and larger than life windows made me feel like I was inside of a ship. We bought a speaker from a resale shop and enjoyed the reverb and acoustics of the space very much! The bed was super comfy and warm, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils for us to make a hearty post hike stew (the trail they recommend in the guide book off Northern Door road is a magical gem of a walk along the bluffy coast. We enjoyed the fire place though personally found the wood a bit difficult to start burning (we may be spoiled with the kiln dry wood we use at home). The plumbing worked great and everything was clean and well stocked! We look forward to coming back!
