About the host
Hosted by Skyler Pettyjohn
We are simply a hard working family of 4 with goals to provide a quick, simple experience of the outdoors for you and yours, I am of the Dine' (Navajo) tribe, who married a cowboy from Wyoming/South Dakota. Our mutual love of the outdoors has let us pour our hears into curating a comfortable experience for all levels of experience with the outdoors. Do you camp on your own and just don't have room for your own equipment for this stay? Or do you NOT have your own equipment and would like to try it out with no previous experience? Our goal is that you will enjoy this resort either way! This property is a dream and real slice of nature that is so enjoyable.
Why they chose this property
This property was such a shock to us, it is in the range of convince but absolutely untouched nature. We have noted, and guests gush about the bird activity that is so immersive here. But the local deer enjoy it just as much, as they visit nightly. The river is a quick walk under 100 year old cotton wood trees and so calming and refreshing, we can't believe our luck at the City guiding us to this treasure. The city of Farmington has been very purposeful in creating an outdoor lifestyle for it's residents and tourists with things like: Off roading, dirt bike trails, walking/hiking trails, water splash pads, playgrounds, water park, frisbee golf, water recreation on the lake and rivers, center of town free concerts, outdoor live theater, pow wows, museums highlighting local stories and local traditions of farming and Native Culture.
What makes this property unique
Nature is the ruler in this property, birds of many species, deer, natural floral and fauna as the saying goes. The century old cotton wood trees are so refreshing to sit and listen to. The colors of the sunset are so vivid. What makes the property unique is not what we have created, but what nature has created.
