A great Kauai getaway
A nice, centrally located residential type condo that met our expectations - everything worked, but it's not a resort.
Pros: Location, upstairs unit, very quiet, right on the beach, nice pool, very comfortable and relaxing.
Cons: Older condo that's showing wear, no elevator, not a good choice for mobility impaired - otherwise satisfactory.
We can’t say enough about this beautiful property. We enjoyed meals on the lanai, watching the ocean and listening to the waves. Make sure to check out Imua Coffee Roasters which is right on the property. Amazing coffee. So close to shopping and excellent places to eat, as well as grocery stores and a large Long’s Drugstore. We are looking forward to returning!!! We will stay here again!
Thomas, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway the opportunity to accommodate! Appreciate it very much and glad #321 worked out for you. Mahalo!
A little slice of paradise
close to everything yet private. Fabulous sunsets and relaxing pool with cocktails. Isn’t this what everyone dreams of for a vacation?
Robert, what we like to hear, thank you! KrellersGetaway appreciates you allowing us to accommodate. Mahalo!!
Loved this spot in Kauai
We absolutely loved staying in this property. The top floor room had great views. It met all of our needs for our vacation. It was a very comfortable room and we could not have been happier staying here. The location was probably our favorite thing about it. It is right next door to restaurants, shopping and rental businesses. We rented beach cruiser bikes next door and had a shaved ice afterward. There is an ABC store in the coconut market area. It is centrally located on the island so you have quick access to everything you want to do on the island. The beach was very nice and peaceful. The owner was very great to work with. We had clear instructions and everything was very easy to deal with so we didn't have to contact the owner for any reason. We booked a boat snorkeling trip thru the activities desk and they were wonderful to deal with. We really enjoyed the time we spent in the room and had an amazing vacation. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Kauai.
Matt, so happy it worked out well for you all! KrellersGetaway appreciates the comprehensive review and are honored to have accommodated. Until the next time.........ALOHA!
Great place to stay with a great view!
We loved staying here! Loved the ocean view and all the amenities close by.
Keith, thanks so much for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate! Means a lot to us. Mahalo!
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.
Another post from a guest:
IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Check out http://www.coconutcoasters.com/. Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
