Escape to the beach and stay at this beautiful, newly renovated 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom pier home located in Oceanside Village, minutes from the wonderful Atlantic Ocean! House is perfect for family gatherings. Just a short 5 minute walk to the beach or 2 minute drive on the golf cart. This newly renovated home with beautiful beach decor, and all new laminate wood flooring, has been freshly painted inside and out, brand new stainless steel kitchen appliances, new kitchen cabinetry, new kitchen sink and new bathroom sinks.

The master bedroom has a king bed, 32' LCD TV, and a full private master bath. The second bedroom has a twin bed, the third bedroom has a queen bed with a 32' LCD TV and the fourth bedroom has two twin beds. There is also a pull out queen sofa bed in the living room for additional sleeping capacity.

The kitchen has been updated with a new stainless steel refrigerator, stainless steel dishwasher, natural wood cabinetry and new laminate wood flooring. There is a kitchen island with bar stools for casual dining. There is also a full dining area that seats six people.

The living room is very spacious and comfortable with a rattan couch and love seat. The rattan couch also has a pullout queen sofa bed for additional sleep capacity. There is a two 50' LCD TV with deluxe digital cable service, DVD/VHS player, free Wi-Fi internet service.

There is a full laundry room with a stockable washer and dryer.

Downstairs unit has a private entrance, large master bedroom (king size bed and flat panel TV), living room with convertable couch and large television, full bathroom, laundry room, and a new, modern kitchen.

Misc. Amenities:

-Bathrooms in the house include a hair dryer, towels, soap, and paper products.

-Has about 10 beach chairs and 2 beach umbrellas

Cook out on the gas grill and enjoy the large deck. There is also an outside screened in porch area for relaxing after a long day at the beach.

You must be 25 or over to rent this unit. This is a non-smoking unit. No smoking is allowed.the house has two golf carts for guests to use to transfer beach chairs,umbrellas,towels(included) to private parking on beach.We have gas grill and outdoor shower.Parking for two or four cars.

This top unit can accommodate up to 10 people maximum occupancy. This is a pet friendly unit, and a maximum of two pets (dogs only) are allowed for an additional non-refundable pet fee. No security deposit is required. The owner's property, and the house has to be left in the same original condition.

Oceanside Village is a private, gated community in Surfside Beach, SC. Oceanside Village has many amenities to enjoy. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and for 2013 there is a new kiddie pool and lounge area, a fitness room, lighted tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball court, baseball field, park/playground area for the kids and many fishing lakes.

I have vacationed in Surfside Beach for many years and have always enjoyed staying in Oceanside Village. It was my love for this beautiful beach and golf cart community that I decided to purchase a home in Oceanside Village in November 2012. I love escaping to the beach house whenever I can.

I chose this place, because it is a safe and family oriented community that offers many amenities for their residents and guests to enjoy. There is an indoor and outdoor pool as well as a brand new kiddie pool and lounge area for the children that just opened recently in Spring 2013. There are tennis courts, volley ball courts, a fitness center, a ball park, playground, fishing lakes and more. There are many great restaurants and attractions nearby for your entertainment.

What makes this house unique

This beach house offers all the comforts of home. There are five LCD televisions with deluxe cable service, DVD players, free WiFi internet, comfortable beds, a nice deck to relax and enjoy the sun. For your convenience, there are also two golf cart included for your trips back and forth to the beach.

Very nice!

The house was just as advertised. I arrived at 4 and the cleaning person was still working but was very friendly and nice. The golf carts and included beach/pool items were great. Very nice to have linens provided. Only opportunity for improvement would be making sure lawn service cuts grass around house. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice just some snags

The one bedroom with single bed is attached to master and doesn't have ac in it and u have to go through master annoying. Small snags with cleaning people coffee pot didn't work but got one and no kitchen towels but got those. Overall nice.

Owner's Response: From what I gather from this guest's review they had an overall enjoyable experience with a few "snags" which is not uncommon with rental properties. I should state for the record that this guest and her party arrived much earlier than the proper check in time, hence the coffee pot and kitchen towels issues. And, as mentioned in the review, both were rectified in a timely manner. As regards the single bedroom off the master bedroom it is accessible from both inside and outside.

Never again!

We had to contact the owner the night before to get the information on how to get in to the property after we arrived. After driving for 5 hours, we were told at the security gate that our names were not listed for the house we had rented and we had to call the owner, who was en route from New Jersey. She told us that she must have "double booked" the house. I gave her my reservation info from VRBO over the phone but she could not access her computer in the car. After some back and forth and suggestions from her that we go to the Oceanside Village rental company (which was 5 minutes from closing), she ultimately let us go ahead to the property. We were greeted by a dead roach when we opened the door (also a couple of others throughout the week). The cleaning staff evidently does not sweep under furniture. All of the air vents were closed when we got there and it was over 80 degrees. The AC stopped working while we were there; repairman came the following day. The outdoor shower and water spigots did not work. There are blinds missing/broken on the downstairs sliding door where anyone can walk up and look in, and one mini-blind upstairs was taped together and could not be raised when the AC went out and we needed to open windows. This place needs some work. To top it off, I got an email from the owner claiming that we would not get our deposit back because she needed to replace a door that was "scuffed" and had a "hole" in it and how she wished we had told her about this before we left. We responded that we did not put a hole in any of her doors and asked her to provide a photo of the alleged damage. Several days later, she responded that the photo would be sent the following day, however 3 days later, it still has not shown up. We did not damage any of her property, and even swept the floors and cleaned up after ourselves before we left. If you rent from her, my advice would be to videotape or photograph what the entire house looks like while you are there to cover yourself against any accusations and ensure that you get your deposit back. We vacation in Oceanside Village twice a year every year and have never had an experience like this one. Hard lesson learned.

Owner's Response: I must say I find this to be a very surprising negative review especially since during the renters entire stay none of this was ever mentioned to me other than the A/C shutting down and that was rectified the next day. As a matter of fact, they were repeat renters. I'm not sure as to why the gate didn't have the name listed, but as soon as I was able to pull off the road on the way down to OSV the situation was sorted out in a matter of minutes. And, for sure, I know I advised these renters as to how to access the house. As a matter of fact, it was unlocked when they arrived as the cleaning people were just finishing up. As for the damage, none was found when they checked in (by them or my cleaning personnel) so the responsibility lies with them. I sent pictures via postal mail and they should have arrived by now. Still, the damage done cost more to fix than the amount of the deposit. The house certainly doesn't need work as suggested by the review. I take great pride in maintaining it as well as possible given the amount of yearly traffic. I am sorry that their experience wasn't as good as last year's, but there was no damage down to my house last year. As for the outside water not working, the reason quite simple---it was shut off during the winter months and hadn't been turned back on. Again, this was not brought to my attention during their stay and they knew how to get ahold of me as they did for the A/C repair.

Great vacation!!

We had a great time. The cottage was on a quiet cul-de-sac and we could hear the ocean waves from the balcony. The beach was just a short drive or walk away. Everything was perfect. Thank you Dorothy for letting us rent this property for our vacation.

Very cute and worked well for my family

I really loved the community! We happened to stay during a cold front so the indoor pool was amazing for the kids. It's a nice location and quiet. We really enjoyed!

Exceptional!!

We have rented this house on several occasions at various times of the year and have found it to be a wonderful experience with the proximity to the beach, use of golf carts, and ample room in the house (which is very well decorated), both upstairs and downstairs. We have found it to be very clean and all kitchen amenities available. Further, enough linens and towels were provided. We brought our own beach towels which we commonly do.

My wife freak outs at cockroaches, in particular, and we found none in the house. They are extremely common in SC as I've come to know and can appear at any time. So, it appears the owner is very proactive in this regard. Anytime there has been the slightest problem or situation she has been readily willing to take care of it immediately.

We plan to rent this house again in 2017.
