We hosted a small family reunion at this amazing home. The house is beautifully maintained, with large windows that frame breathtaking views of the Lake Michigan & surrounding countryside. We enjoyed meals around the table & conversations in front of the fireplace. Sunrises over the lake & sunsets over the open fields were sights to behold. We spent time sharing stories at night around the fire pit. The property is private, surrounded by a mix of trees, open green fields & wild flowers. If you’re looking for a place that blends comfort, charm, & nature’s best, this home is it. We left refreshed, grateful & hopeful to return.

The house is fantastic, very luxurious and spacious with plenty of space for at least 8-10 people without feeling like you are on top of each other. We were there with 5 of us and there a couple of empty bedrooms plus my daughters had queen and double beds to themselves. There was plenty of privacy as well, but also good spots for group hangouts to watch TV or play games, and a handy little nook for working. There is even a secret bedroom hidden behind a bookcase that opens like a door!There is a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan in the backyard. The grounds are very large and well manicured; in fact, it was big enough for my daughter to practice soccer and kick the ball 30-40 yards in the air. There's even a rugged little trail you can take down to the beach that is a little challenging but not too bad for intermediate hikers; it was about a 5-10 minute walk down to the beach, and actually faster going back up (because we were careful on the steep parts going down). It was only about a five minute drive to the Piggly Wiggly grocery store to pick up stuff, and about fifteen minutes to get to downtown Port Washington. Port Washington itself is only about an hour from numerous inland lakes where you can rent a boat and waterski, tube, stand up paddle, jet ski, etc.

The hosts, James and Sophie, were outstanding. They were very responsive and fielded all of our questions and comments promptly and clearly. The home and location were perfect for our family to relax, cook some great meals together, and enjoy the local sights of Lake Michigan, Port Washington, Cedarburg and a lovely state park. We will be back!!
