Esta es una maravillosa casa frente al lago en un lago de nueve acres, sin motor, ubicado en la cordillera de Shawangunk. Esta casa de dos niveles tiene un hermoso diseño abierto y toneladas de luz en las espaciosas áreas comunes. La sala de estar es todas las ventanas, con vistas al lago. El enorme dormitorio principal tiene baño en suite y el nivel principal tiene dos dormitorios adicionales, uno de los cuales tiene una litera completa / doble, el otro tiene una hermosa cama llena de antigüedades. What a gem of a location and house! Would definitely return. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The kayaks were a nice touch too. The lake is pretty small but the lily pads were blooming and it was breathtakingly beautiful. Quiet neighborhood. Very close to Pine Bush for any necessities that you may need. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need for cooking just about any meal. Nice sunny living room/kitchen area. The outdoor deck with another table to eat at was nice too!

I am not a give 5-stars person. This was 5-stars because of the lake. Right outside, a beautiful lake. The house is nice, clean, everything was fine that way, but that lake, right there. We sat on the deck for breakfast and dinner and stared at the lake. It was heavenly.

My husband, 12 yr old, and I had a wonderful stay in a great location. The view of the pond was so peaceful. The kayaks were easily accessible and ready to go. I took my daughter out kayaking the evening we arrived and it was lovely. The main bedroom had a great king size bed, a tv, AC, and a little porch. We utilized the grill and the washer dryer and they were very appreciated. The best part for us, though was the 3 baby green herons that frequented the dock to sit in the sun and learn how to fish! We called them the dock chickens! We loved it. We took day trips to hike to waterfalls (10/10!!), went to the Castle Fun Center (arcade, go karts, laser tag, and tons more), made day trips to Beacon and New Paltz, and a couple other towns, and took the Metro North to catch a play in NYC. This is truly a great location. The owner was incredibly responsive and timely in her messages. We had a brief moment when the power went out and she responded to our text promptly. No action was needed in the end because it was back not long after. In the summer the kitchen/living room area was a bit humid, but it was a very hot stretch during our stay. The AC down there wasn’t enough for that space. Our daughter used the room with bunk beds and that was a bit hot, but she handled it for the most part with the fan provided. The place was clean and well appointed. We were very happy with the stay.

Enjoyed our stay with friends, traveled the area , visited KINGSTON, WOOD STOCK, NEW PALTZ, HUDSON RIVER TOUR, ANTIQUING, UFO MUSEUM,WHINERY, HAD BEAUTIFUL WEATHER. PERFECT PLACE TO STAY.

Perfect Escape

We stays at the house on the lake for 3 nights with our friends. Great location: easy to get around and go places. Glad we came at perfect timing to see Fall.

Lovely lake-side get away

We enjoyed the property very much. The main bedroom was very comfortable, the view from the living room was amazing and we enjoyed the use of the owner's kayaks in the lake. This is a great place to stay for a leisurely visit. We hiked one day, visited wineries another, swam and kayaked, and even just played cards.

The best bit was how responsive they were. In addition to help during the chec in process, they also responded to messages about the internet going out...on xmas day!! Super impressed with that. Nice home. I do recommend

Peaceful

Stayed for a week with my children. The place is fantastic, the lake is beautiful, and the neighbors are the nicest people. Checking in and out was smooth and pleasant. Any questions or issues I had were were settled by the Mara. Will definitely return to this little gem.

The kitchen was well stocked to service our family and friends. We were able to host a couple dinners while we were out and everyone was comfortable. The wifi was fast and reliable. The setting on the lake was peaceful and relaxing. We got to have a beautiful mist in the morning and Canadian geese in the evening. We loved the outdoor seating area downstairs and enjoyed sitting on the dock. The patio was an added bonus! Everyone that came to visit commented on how nice of a rental it was for the area. We definitely got our moneys worth staying there. It is added as one of our favorites for the area. I would let family's know that the stairs and banister are not toddler or senior friendly but they are very aesthetic. That was not an issue with our group but it might be worth mentioning.

Wonderful setting, comfortable house

This home reminded my wife and I of the many ‘lake cabins’ we visited in years past. It is a bit rustic, but very comfortable. The lakeside setting is idyllic. We were initially put off when greeted by the 3 very large dogs next door, but their owners were great at keeping them pretty quiet. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable, and the kitchen was, if anything, overstocked. Evidently the toaster oven was out for repair, but everything else was up to snuff. It was a good base for exploring the region, and we are happy to have chosen it.

Over all pleasant stay

Our family enjoyed our time in the house for the most part. The beds were comfortable and the views thru the large windows were nice. The house was difficult to regulate the temperature. Bottom floors were always cold and top floor was always hot. The smart heat thermostat seem to be set to some schedule. It would never stay on the desired temperature so sometimes we would get back to the house and it would be freezing or it would get cold during the night. The basement were the laundry machines are located was full of junk and a bit creepy and I had to clean up the yard a bit when I got there. Several pool floats from last summer was strewn across the yard and stuck in some bushes. The house has lots of windows which is nice during the day but at night we felt a little exposed, many did not have binds and the neighboring houses are very close. All in all a good stay.

Uncomfortably Lived In

There was open food in the refrigerator, freezer and cabinets. The owner's clothes were in the closets, along with a guitar and other items. As mentioned in another view, it literally felt like we had invaded someone's home. Linens on the master bed didn't seem clean. There was a painted picture perhaps by a child that was just laying on the floor near the kitchen. The basement on both sides was full of junk and felt creepy. If you are going to keep them that way, lock them off.We arrived around 10:00pm at night, and we were so uncomfortable that we chose to leave the property and find a hotel for the night in Middletown while we figured out other accommodations for the week we were spending in the area. We complained to the manager of the property, and they gave us a 50% refund for the week. We accepted it as better than nothing at all, but the property simply is not as advertised. We would not have been remotely comfortable there for a week without significant improvements that were not possible in short order.It can become a great place to stay if it were freshened up and efforts were made to make it feel like it isn't "lived in" by locking away personal items including used food and by removing access to the junk filled basement. Additional attention to making it feel tidy and squeaky clean would also be a big improvement. We hope these changes are made.

We have rectifyed the issues by immediately reviewing our checklist and procedures with our cleaners to insure there is no food items left in the fridge and cabinets. Made changes with personal belongings. We have implemented a stricter process for inspecting the property after cleaning including checking the linens for clean and freshness for every guest. Steps have been taken to organize and improve the condition of the laundry room to ensure it doesn't detract from the guest experience. We are committed to providing a positive experience for all of our guests.

Disappointed On Many Levels

We were in town to bury my Mother. Upon arrival the house smelled extremely musty. The tv upstairs didn't work and when I called Mara to let her know, she said that she knew it wasn't working. This was a surprise to me as we realized all it needed was a Roku. Simple fix. Also, this property is advertised as a Lake House, when I mentioned this to Mara, she said it is a Cabin. There was a smoke detector hanging down in the 1st bedroom to the left. Not sure if it was even working. There was food in the refrigerator and cabinets, she said we could use them or just set it to the side, some items in fridge were expired, why would we want to use food that we didn't know who put it there, clothes in the closets, a guitar and more. Felt like we had invaded someone's home. Linens on some of the beds were dirty as well as the floors. Living room carpet had dried contacts on it. Dishes were chipped and not in good condition. Pots and pans were filthy. The beds were comfortable and the views through the large windows was very nice, but at night with no blinds or curtains on most of them, we felt exposed to the neighbors. The basement on both sides was full of junk and creepy. When I mentioned this to Mara, she asked if we needed to use it! That was not my point. Also, there was a dehumidifier in the basement, but it was filthy, so I'm sure it was working up to par. This could be a cute little place with a fresh coat of paint, some T.L.C. and a new cleaning crew.

While there are blinds for the windows facing the lake and curtains on the sliding door on the side of our neighbors, I can understand you may have missed them; or how your expectations may have differed. Great hiking

This house was quite comfortable on a very small lake. The thing we liked most it wasn’t a long drive to get to some very good hiking which was varied and beautiful. Although I never met Mara she was a great host in terms of communicating with me before and during my stay.
