Relax with the entire family at this beautiful & private mountain retreat at our cottage built in the 1950s on 7 wooded, mountainous acres, a stream & Mountain View’s! You get the best of both worlds getting the Mountain View’s yet so close to town. Less than a mile to Harmon Field Park/waterfalls/hiking/downtown Tryon, highway 176 and very close to I-26 & I-74! Sunsets & views are extraordinary here! Wake up to the birds singing and drink coffee as your being swept into the beautiful scenery!

Also has a newly built wheelchair ramp added to the front porch which makes our cottage wheelchair accessible, 1000 MBS high speed internet which is very reliable, and smart TVs with all the apps

While the location was beautiful the house was less than ideal. From broken glass in the yard to mold growing on ducttape on the ceiling, roaches in the kitchen, stained sheets and mattresses this place was not what we expected! We were going to try to make the space work and see it as a glass half full however when several of my kids were having coughing fits because of the mold we had to leave.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this rental. When my family and I arrived the day before Thanksgiving—my husband, our three children, and our dog—we were shocked to find the property in completely unacceptable condition, and truthfully it is a health and sanitation issue. It was immediately clear that we could not stay there.Upon entering, we discovered roaches, visible in multiple areas (the freezer/microwave and even one so bold it crawled on the countertop next to me). The home itself was in unclean and unsanitary condition, with dust everywhere, other various dead bugs, dirty washcloths left in the bathroom, and duct tape around the window seals, which made the entire place feel unsafe and poorly maintained. The level of disarray was far below any basic standard of cleanliness or care. I could not comfortably sleep or cook Thanksgiving side dishes here!!! We had no choice but to leave immediately and secure alternative lodging during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year—an incredibly stressful situation for a family of five traveling with a pet!!!AND despite promptly reporting the issues, I still have not received a refund, which only adds to the frustration of this entire experience.I strongly urge future guests to be cautious. This property was nowhere near the standard advertised, and I hope the owner and Vrbo take the necessary steps to address these serious concerns so no one else has to go through this.

A person unfortunately scaming someone with false pictures that ate not in our home...never paid her last payment ...during our busy season of the year...left fresh flowers for them....i am am people pleaser and want people to be happy...instead someone that contacts vrbo and not me first with bogus complaints and scam photos that are not our home...for example not even our bath tub...not our microvave...just silly how mean and hateful they can be...i think people like that get off on this kind of behavior...PLEASE BE AWARE of future host that my fall for this...i pray for them...
