Carla’s Lost Cove was a special experience from the moment we booked. Carla is the consummate host and it only got better when we arrived. The property was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed, and the views were spectacular. Our favorites were morning sunrise and coffee on the screened porch, the comfy couches, blankets, and bedding, as well as cooking outside and the terrific porches. The perfect lakehouse to unwind and relax at.

The place and grounds are beautiful! It also was the perfect setup for our family. The dogs had plenty of space to explore with our young daughter in a safe gated area. Outside the gate, the grounds were also well-maintained. We enjoyed spending time at the place, and especially appreciated the kitchen with plenty of spices and availability of high end cookware that allowed us to enjoy more time at the place. Carla (host) was also very kind and responsive prior to and during our stay. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again.

From booking to departure, Carla was in constant communication. The home itself was perfect. Each room is a separate suite, with each having its own bathroom. The views were amazing. The property is secluded and very peaceful at night. Our puppy enjoyed the stay the most, having multiple acres to explore and run about. This home brings you peace and comfort the minute you walk in. The property is very quiet and serene. Carla was very quick to respond to any questions and provided easy check in and check out. Each bedroom has its own bathroom providing privacy to you & your guests. The beds were comfortable and all my guests talked of how well they slept. The downstairs is its own suite or casita with added living room. A spectacular view of the hills & Lake Travis are seen from both floors. There could not be a more gorgeous and serene place than this rental. The description is absolutely correct. The owner is so incredibly nice and accommodating and caring. So great at communicating too. We had our wedding in Spicewood and this rental made it an even more special trip. All pros! Easy check in and out process, TVs, exceptionally well stocked, beautifully well maintained gardens. If you forgot something it just might already be there waiting for you (body wash, kitchen things, etc). Can’t wait to come back!

The combination of the gentle flow of Lake Travis and the lush greenery in the background creates a superb, calming atmosphere. Our mornings were incredibly quiet and restorative; there is nothing quite like watching the sunrise while deer graze peacefully on the lawn just a few feet away.The layout of the home was perfect for our group. We spent our days soaking in the views and our evenings engaged in team-building and games that brought us all together for a fun-filled, stylish experience in the Hill Country.The location is also hard to beat. We took a trip to the nearby Krause Springs, which is an absolute must-see! Since the wildflowers were in bloom during our stay, the drive and the destination were both breathtakingly beautiful.Lastly, a huge thank you to the owner. My family had such a lovely time. We stayed here during wildflower season and the weather was absolutely perfect. Why they chose this property

I purchased this property in 2005 as a family retreat. After hectic work weeks in our cities - Austin, Houston and Shreveport - we spent family time on the water - swimming, boating, skiing and fishing -, cooking, and staying up until the wee hours playing dominoes, cards and board games. Always with the family dogs - mostly labs and shih tzus, but a few dearly loved mutts. During the meteor showers in August, we spread blankets, turned out the lights, and counted shooting stars. When the weather turned cold, we made a big fire to burn a year's accumulation of brush and roast a mountain of marshmallows.

I'm grateful that we were able to make such special memories. Now I want to share this place so others can make their own memories.
