Wonderful property with an amazing sea view! Comfortable beds with plenty for f space for a family. Walk anywhere you need to go. Endless restaurants to choose as well as a farmacia. Kitchen was well appointed and the air conditioning worked very well! Ortigia is so lovely and the people are very friendly. Looking forward to staying here again!!

The apartment is very well appointed, it has everything you need. The balcony is breathtaking. The hosts are extremely helpful and Ottavia and Giuseppina gave us great advice and helped us sort a really convenient place to park. We loved our time there and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it.

Stunning Location!

Our family spent a week at this beautiful home. We walked everywhere and woke up every morning to the sound of the waves. We would definitely return! Our Host was amazing and very responsive.

Beautiful stay in Ortigia

We so enjoyed our stay here in this very beautiful apartment with amazing sea views. The apartment was very clean and had everything that we needed for a really comfortable week. The owners were friendly and helpful, quick to respond to any queries and helped us book taxis when needed. Everything was just lovely and we would definitely book again. Thank you!

Fantastic

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days and I can only agree with all the other fantastic reviews. Like others we have stayed in villas and apartments all over Europe for the past 20 years and this is one of the best. All the facilities are first class and the location must be one of the best on the island.

A Perfect Stay in beautiful Ortigia!

We loved every moment of our stay in Palazzo Colpace! Ottavio and Giuseppina were ideal hosts. The apartment is gorgeous with a stunning view. Giuseppina provided wonderful suggestions and help. We cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful view in large stylish and comfortable apartment.

Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Large well equipped kitchen, living room and great private deck. Very clean and well appointed. The hosts Ottavio and Guiseppina were lovely and great to work with and Rita took good care of our housekeeping needs. Great location. A gem in Ortegia.

Wonderful property, excellent hosts.

Property was nicely located by the sea. Great view from a terrific outdoor space. Interior was well appointed and comfortably supplied. Very clean. Host was very responsive, thoughtful with special treats and accommodating of any request. Every staff member was friendly and provided impeccable service. Highly recommended.

Sublime

A sublime stay at Palazzo Colpace. Ottavio and Guiseppina were flawless hosts, the weather was serene and Ortigia itself is the most walkable and enjoyable experience on all levels. Being gluten-free we were repeat visitors to Moon - a vegan restauarant that is a cut above. Grazie mille.

Great location in Ortigia

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ortigia. This apartment was perfect for us. Spacious with lots of living space. This was important since we were staying for a month. Very comfortable. A lovely deck/terrace. The location was perfect. In a quiet neighborhood but so close to everything on the island - lots of good restaurants nearby. Also important as we did not rent a car. Could walk everywhere we needed or wanted to go.

Completely beautiful and comfortable with an incomparable view of the Ionian Sea from the terrace.

Spacious and well equipped and wonderful light. Giuseppina was so helpful as was her household helper Sara who daily took away any recyclables and garbage. Parking is extremely challenging in Ortygia but Giuseppina had arranged reserved parking for us. Although it cost 20 Euros a day, it was worth it as Ortygia was our base from which to visit many sites. We spent several days just exploring Syracuse including Ortygia on foot.

Beautiful!

Giuseppina’s apartment is perfect. The patio overlooking the ocean is spectacular. The apartment was very clean, bright and comfortable and well appointed. We spent a week here and loved every minute. While centrally located, its on a quiet street. We were a bit “directionally challenged” and couldn’t find the garage. Like a good sport, Giuseppina got in our car and took us there. Turns out it was just around the corner. Thank you, Guiseppina for a wonderful stay. Andy and Susan

Ortigia Hidden Gem

The apartment was just as advertised. The apartment was spacious and very clean and with a full kitchen, shopping at the local market and cooking was a great option to have. The large terrace overlooking the Ionian Sea provided a wonderful setting for our morning coffee and for a relaxing glass of wine at the end of the day. We found so much to do in this picturesque town all within easy walking distance from the apartment. We had rented a car and the owner helped us book a safe and secure a parking spot just a few blocks away. We made Ortigia our base and enjoyed day trips to Noto, Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Taormina and Marzamemi making this among our "best ever" vacations.

Splendid Ortigia experience

My husband and I spent a magical month here in April. The apartment was perfect in every way : super comfy beds,fully equipped kitchen and living spaces so airy and bright.Waking up to the Mediterranean every morning was pure bliss. We cant wait to return. Excellent attention from Giussepina as needed.Origia is a true gem : heaven if archeology art history are your interests we saw someting new every day.No car needed walked everywhere but Ottavio kindly connected us to a driver for Catania airport pick ups and day trips to Ragusa. There is a car rental 5 mins away which we used once to see Villa Casale Romana 2 hours away. Train to Taormina and Catania were perfect : station a 30 min easy walk. Thank you Ottavio and Giussepina for a wonderful stay

Simply Splendid

We are coming to the end of our wonderful stay at Palazzo Colpace. We are well travelled but never before have we been able to say that we are staying in “the best apartment in the best location in the entire City”. The apartment has a great layout, is very comfortable, peaceful, modern and efficient. The spacious terrace overlooking the cobalt blue Ionian Sea is simply splendid. The kitchen and master bedroom have their own terraces with magical city views over a very quiet corner of Ortigia. The second bedroom has its own terrace and yet another spectacular sea view. The market and all the sites of Ortigia are within a 10 minute walk. We made several day trips to all sorts of interesting destinations using the bus and rail network. Wonderful swimming in crystalline waters is literally steps away from our front door. With a very well equipped kitchen, it was a pleasure to sample the vast array of delicious Sicilian fruits, vegetables, cheese and fresh fish and prepare our own meals. This apartment as well as three other lovely apartments in the palazzo are owned and managed by a brother/sister team. The sister lives in the building and you could not ask for a more gracious and helpful host. She helped us find Italian language lessons, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and answered our numerous questions on Syracuse and Sicily. In sum, we feel very fortunate to have been guests in Palazzo Colpace and to have become acquainted with the wonderful owners. It is the perfect combination for a holiday of relaxation, cultural experiences, and the warm hospitality of Syracusans.

A delightful apartment

This was a great apartment, clean, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out after our days of touring Ortigia. The location was just great., allowing us to explore Ortigia pretty extensively by foot. Unfortunately, we speak little Italian and so check in was a bit confusing as the assistant who met us spoke minimal English. We understand that that's our failure, not his. We are in our 70s and 80s. I mention that because the 44 steps from the street up to the apartment were a challenge. But the view from the patio out over the sea was totally worth it. A lovely place to stay

Fantastic apartment in Ortigia

The apartment was fabulous for the 3 of us. The balcony overlooking the sea was magical. The location was great, as its on the quieter side of Ortigia, but 5 minute walk from everywhere. Great kitchen and sitting room aswell. We loved this property.
