Thank you for your feedback, Vickie. We’re glad to hear you found the room beautiful and the location ideal. We do, however, want to clarify a few points for future guests reading this review. During your stay, the property was undergoing a temporary parking lot resurfacing, which was managed by the building and communicated to you several days prior to arrival. While parking next door was offered as the temporary alternative, there is a well-lit main sidewalk directly from that lot to the building entrance. If a narrower shortcut was used instead, we unfortunately do not control or recommend that route, as it is not designated for guest access. Regarding your reservation changes, your first booking was canceled within Vrbo’s partial-refund window, and the standard 50% refund was processed automatically. When you rebooked, it came through as a completely separate reservation, and hosts are not notified or able to link past cancellations to new bookings. We strive to provide clear communication and a comfortable experience, and we’re truly sorry that this situation left you feeling otherwise. Most importantly, we wish your friend’s daughter peace, strength, and full healing during her recovery.
