Porter’s Place - cozy and quiet home centrally located in Northern Michigan.

Centrally located and nestled in the woods west of Gaylord, MI. Enjoy all 4 seasons! Snowmobile Trail #4 crosses our street and we are surrounded by multiple golf courses, parks and beaches. Within 30 minutes to Boyne, Traverse City and Mackinaw City.

Perfect location for snowmobiling

We were ecstatic to be able to go in multiple directions from this location allowing us to put on over 700 miles in 2 1/2 days! Great place!

Golf Weekend

The house worked great for a foursome of golfers. The house is clean, comfortable and in great shape. The location works great for golf since there are many courses within 30 minutes. The location is very peaceful.

Beautiful Home All the Way Around

This property was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, serene, peaceful. VERY clean and cozy. We will be back. We stayed for snowmobiling and it was a perfect location to catch the trail head.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Porter's house! It was beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed and then some! Kathy was such a friendly host. We got to learn a little bit about the property and watch the cows come to eat. Check-in was quick and easy. We loved the spacious kitchen and closet space! If there hadn't been a fire ban due to lack of rain, we would have loved to use the fire pit to roast marshmallows. One morning there were lots of turkeys on the hill behind the house! It was such a comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We hope to stay there again on future vacations up north!

Guesthouse in Woods

This is a beautiful guesthouse that is super clean, well maintained, and has all the necessary amenities. It is off the beaten path and very quiet, but easy to access, and a great location for the Gaylord area. A great value!

Short getaway

Great little place! Has all amenities anyone would need. Stayed there by myself to just relax... the covered back porch was a nice surprise for sitting outside in the rain. Quiet and clean,... would stay again in a heartbeat

Quiet and relaxing stay

Our family had a great time here. Everything was as described in the listing. It was very clean and cozy. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it seemed to be well-supplied. The outdoors can be enjoyed with coffee on the deck or a fire. The kids enjoyed visiting the friendly cows.

Close to Gaylord golf

The house was perfect for our long golf weekend. The house was nicely appointed and equipped. The setting was quit and private. Convenient to many courses.

Perfect for our Family

The stay here was great from check-in to check-out. My husband and I brought our two teenagers, their friend, and our two younger boys. The space was perfect - we had all we needed and more. We were most pleased with the cleanliness and quality of bedding, furniture, and really the entire house/property. We hope to stay again, some day!
