This fabulous 2-bedroom apartment is the lower level of a large, high-end home. It features a fully-equipped kitchen with a huge marble island, a large dining space and a comfortable sitting area with a 60” TV. Your comfort is guaranteed with 2 bedrooms(1 King and 1 Queen) both featuring 50”TV’s and luxury linens. The bathroom is equipped with a walk in shower, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a hair dryer. There is also a private outdoor patio area with Adirondack chairs and a sun umbrella for your enjoyment. The apartment access is in the back of the home with a brick path that has 3-4 steps. That being said, this apartment may not be suitable for guests with ambulatory issues.

the house worked fine for what we needed. It is located close to Mayo Clinic and convenient to restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the outdoor patio.

Pictures are pretty stop on. Just needs a good deep clean for the bathroom and living room rugs and the couch. And the walkway was a little treacherous but I was also consistently dizzy so that was more on me. Nice peaceful setting

The accommodations were accurate to the listing and well-appointed. The host was not very responsive to questions leading up to the trip, however, which made meal planning difficult as we did not know what appliances would be available to us. There is no stove or oven but they do provide a large hot plate and several smaller toasting ovens. Everything else about the stay was perfect and we especially enjoyed the wooded views through the backyard. This is a basement level property but it was quiet and peaceful. We would stay here again.

We were in Rochester for medical appts, and were looking for a comfortable place to stay for the week. We were both very impressed with the beautiful decor and how refreshing it was to come back to each day. Very clean, very comfy beds, amazing kitchen and living spaces, and the outdoor patio was a bonus with the occasional deer and turkey passing along the tree line. Would definitely stay again for our next trip.

The walkway to the patio entrance was a little difficult to navigate in the dark - uneven, hard to see. The owner did salt the walkway and warned us about it ahead of time. Just something that someone with any sort of walking difficulties should be aware of. Nice quiet neighborhood and comfortable stay.

We were in Rochester, MN for some testing and appointments at the Mayo Clinic. This unit was very clean and comfortable. Only minutes away from Mayo and the parking garages. A lot of amazing dinner options as well. When I come back to Mayo from WI, I hope to be able to stay here…really amazing unit. Thank you to Deb and her team!

I so wanted to give this property 5 stars. However, I can't. It was spacious, well furnished, and tastefully decorated. However, the maintenance on the property was not up to par. Upon arrival, we were met with hoses across the sidewalk and loose cobble stones on the sidewalk both of which could be tripping hazards. The door to the property fit poorly, the back yard was overgrown with brush all over, and maintenance materials like paint brushes and paint trays were laying along the outside of the home. To top the outside off, an arborist showed up on the morning of our checkout and began cutting down a tree. We were not warned that this would be happening. Inside, the paint in the bathroom was hastily done with streaks all over, the trim was not touched up, the paint on the tile in the shower was peeling, and the ceiling fan did not operate well. There was no stove or oven, just a microwave and a hot plate. There were dents in the drywall in the bathroom and back bedroom, and there was a mysterious spot on the ceiling in the main bedroom. Add to this the condition of the paint on the outside of the house indicated the poor maintenance of the property. We also found expired condiments in the refrigerator and uncovered bottles of cooking oil on the counter. We also found several glasses which had lipstick on them and maintenance supplies stored in a glass case in the living area. This could be an excellent property with some TLC, but it falls short of standards.

I apologize that the arborist was there during your stay but he only had a couple openings available during the summer. He was supposed to be finished prior to your arrival but he got backed up due to rain which was entirely unavoidable. The description clearly states that there is not a traditional oven, only a countertop oven and hot plate stove. I wish you had read the through the description more thoroughly prior to booking. I’m not sure what you are referring to about the paint in the bathroom. Also, the “suspicious” stain on the ceiling in the master bedroom is from having a gas line installed to have a gas stove in the upper level kitchen. The installers painted but did a very poor job of matching the ceiling paint. I will be repainting that soon but haven’t had a chance with all the bookings over the summer. It’s interesting that you mention the olive oil without a cover when there was a brand new bottle provided right next to it. A past guest must’ve removed the pouring spout on the old one. I have since removed. I do also like to provide basic condiments as a courtesy to guests. I have removed any that have expired. Yes, I do have maintenance materials in the apartment in a confined space as most homes do. I’m not quite sure why that would’ve impacted your stay.

We had a great time at this location and was a nice retreat from the Mayo Clinic. The property is as depicted, with two bedrooms in the basement of a nice home, including a separate entrance. There is no stovetop, but the owners provide a hot plate for cooking and there is a small toaster/oven. We slept well and were very comfortable. There is a nice drive thru coffee shop about 2 miles away called Moka and the Pho restaurant across the street from Moka is fantastic. Overall, the apartment is very nice, photos do the apartment justice. Keep in mind this is a basement apartment, as advertised. I’ve stayed at a lot of places and I’d stay here again. The owner is super responsive and flexible to your needs.

The property was just as shown in the pictures! Beautiful and relaxing. There was a lighted path to the back entrance of the property. The path was laid brick with a couple of steps. There was a beautiful patio area. The primary bedroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The host communicated in a timely manner. The neighborhood was quiet. There was a helpful manual with instructions and information. I would recommend this property for your next stay!
