About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath beach steps from the beach

This quaint, cozy 2 bed/1 bath beach cottage sleeps 5-7 people and is the perfect get away for two couples or a small family. You must see the pictures to appreciate our sweet home. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a plush mattress, while the second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed. There is a CordaRoy convertible sleeper that sleeps 2. It's a huge foam chair that converts to a queen sized bed. The house has tile throughout. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. You can cook if you want, or go visit the many restaurants that are very close. There is a wonderful, bright Florida room at the back of the house - perfect for that morning cup of coffee and a great book. The family room has a 47 inch flat screen HDTV with too many channels to mention. There is also a Blueray player and a DVR for the shows you just can't miss. We are equipped with high speed internet as well. The couch in that room also pulls out to make another queen size bed. The beach is just a block from our front door. You can sit on the front porch and listen to the waves after a long day enjoying the many attractions nearby. Tom Renick park is a few blocks north of us, which provides a beautiful place to camp out at the beach for the day. There are clean bathrooms, showers and even a play structure for the children, if you can ever tear them away from playing in the sand and the waves. Come and make our home your home for a vacation you will always remember.

About Meg Sams

We are a beach loving family that make our current home in the Atlanta, GA area. Growing up in South Florida instilled in us a love for the sand and waves. We knew we would always make it back down to sunny Florida someday. We have 3 young boys who also share our love for surfing and sailing. This cozy cottage is our home away from home....

The cottage is conveniently located and the size is perfect. It was very clean and there were plenty of dishes, pots&pans, and utensils. What we did not like was the master bed, the couch, and the bathroom sink. The bed is so tall we had to use a step stool (which is provided), and the mattress needs replacing. The living room couch needs replacing too, we had trouble getting out of it. The bathroom sink does not drain well. I used Drano twice but there was no difference. The drainage pipes under the sink are too narrow. We will not be staying here again unless these issues are rectified.

Owner's Response: Hi Ruth, I am glad you found our house very clean and that you had everything that you needed! I am sorry that you were not comfortable on the bed or couch. The couch is actually a newer couch and we have never had a complaint before about the bed or the couch, but we appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration!

The house was amazing my family had a blast there, short walk to beach and short drive to flagger beach which allows dogs on the beach. The house had everything we could need.

Nice cozy home near the beach

  • 4 of 5

Meg and her husband were great hosts. We arrived late on check in day and had issue with the house and lost a night of our stay, however, was compensated for by home owner. We have stayed at this house twice now. This past time we noticed some improvements such as the back patio and outdoor shower! We didn't use the grill or sand/pool toys however they were available in the garage. House is small for our family of 5 but nice and close to the beach (and far enough away that little ones don't wander there alone). Bathroom is really small however the kids did utilize the outdoor shower option. House is kept well and has all the essentials like dishes, coffee pot, pots/pans, etc. Would consider again for future travels to daytona area.

Drive a little further south to Cocoa Beach and visit Ron Jon’s Surf Shop, a favorite local area attraction, or visit the animals at the Brevard County Zoo.
