Excellent secluded spot to stay in Athens that is still close enough to uptown so you can enjoy it. Shower was slightly short for a tall person but nothing you can't work with for the stay.
The space is simple but inviting, met our needs. I will say in my view the experience could be improved with an outdoor light of some sort - we arrived after dark and it was a little foggy, and we drove past the location and had to use the flashlights on our cell phones to be sure we were at the right place.
This upstairs apartment was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the host was easy to work with. It is a short 15 minute walk to the end of court street and the hill to walk up was not bad at all. The only things that weren’t great was the lack of a tv and the shower being short. I am 5’3” and had to squat down to wash my hair. Other than that it was a great stay!
I am originally from California, but have moved around the country finding where I feel most at home. Ohio has been so lovely and has stolen my heart!
I enjoy gardening and travelling with my family of four.
I love hosting because the space I have created for my guests is my happy place and I want for them to enjoy it as much as I do.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because the local community is wonderfully tightknit and it is beautifully centrally located to everything I need while still being relatively quiet and peaceful.
What makes this property unique
My property is unique because it has been maintained in it's original state with very minor modifications for your convenience and comfort. It is a 1950's charmer!
