The property was beautiful. I loved that it was in a gated community. The beds slept well & there was plenty of room for our whole family. Our family loved the pool & spent most of our time around the pool.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was excellent—friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this vacation rental.

Ideal location to beach. Host provided excellent service. The pool with the house provided my grands a special place to swim. Plenty of room. My kids enjoyed the game systems in the house. Kitchen has multiple glasses, plates and cookware. Golf cart was very adequate for our needs.

The house was so nice and the perfect place for me and my family to come together and show our grandma the beach for the first time. The space worked well for our large group, the house was beautiful, communication and process was great. We would love to book here again.

Our family had an amazing time at this property and enjoyed the golf carts! We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

More than enough beds for everyone and private bathrooms for each bedroom a huge plus!! High end appliances and nice property overall.

Wonderful house

This house is very nice and spacious. The heated pool was great to have! It’s a couple blocks from the beach and has its own beach access. We would walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time during our stay!

Great getaway

Great property and location. The kitchen could use more utensils and baking sheets-for a house that sleeps that many people there is a need for more items. Our family had a very relaxing stay-quiet neighborhood and close to all amenities.

Book it!

Loves it, didn’t want to leave! Every room has a bathroom and it was perfect for our big group. Only thing… beach is prob more like 10 or 15 minute walk.

Perfect for a large family

We absolutely loved staying there! We have a large family, ages 1-61 and it was perfect for us. The private pool was a huge hit, the kitchen was very well stocked including a griddle and crockpot, a large table to seat our family plus large sitting area to accommodate all of us. The golf cart was very nice for transporting our stuff to the beach. We would definitely come back!

Spacious Home

We have a summer family tradition which is to rent a house in Florida so we can enjoy each other's company. The Barnacle was a Great spacious home that allowed us to do that this year. Management was easily accessible if needed and the location from the beach was made so much easier with the golf cart provided.

House was nice had bedrooms and bathrooms for all! Further to the beach than we thought from listing. And the area before the gated community was really run down!

Beautiful house!

Plenty of room for everyone and so great that each room has its own bathroom! The golf cart is a definite plus as it’s a few blocks to the beach. Keep in mind, no tents or canopies are allowed on the private beach. You have to drive to the public areas if you have little ones that need extra shade.

Hi Paula, Thank you for the feedback on your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed the home and the area. Unfortunately, we can't control the rules on the beach. I understand that even though you can have the umbrellas on the private beach that sometimes you prefer a little more shade than what they can provide. With the public beach accesses being less than half a mile from the private location we hope that it is not much of an inconvenience to utilize those. A great week for family

We love the Barnacle! This was our second year staying in this neighborhood and have already booked again for 2023. We have a large family and the Barnacle was perfect for 18 of us. Property manager was quick to respond and handle the minor issues instantly. Like this group of owners and plan to continue staying in their houses during Family vacation. We also stayed in Lazy Magnolia in 2021… great house also with a bit bigger pool…

Our beach wedding

This property was perfect for our family. It slept myself and my wife, our 5 children and their significant others my dad and his wife, my grandson on a provided trundle, 2 of our close friends, and our Reverend. It had everything we needed. And the golf cart was super handy shuttling everyone around as parking for vehicles in that area at the back and restaurants can be a challenge. The pool was awesome for lazy days of just hanging out. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a trip fo Destin

Awesome Family Vacation Home!

This home had plenty of space for our large family vacation. The house was well equipped to handle cooking multiple meals throughout the day. My only (minor) complaint is the pool is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. When we booked last September the dimensions were not part of the listing - by no means was it a major issue during the trip. Overall I would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again!
