Always an Adventure on Spooky Lane

This was our second time to stay at Sea Haunts. We love the area and the complex. ITrip made check-in a breeze, and their communication was excellent. We found that our townhome accommodated our party of 6 just fine, and we had no complaints. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Family trip

Sea Haunts 8A was great for our needs. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect. We were able to walk to dinner most nights. Would definitely consider staying again.

Great price for the location!

Super convenient location if you have littles, very close to pool and beach access. Nice to have a room with no windows for the baby to sleep. Great price for the amount of room and location. Itrip was very responsive, we will definitely be booking through them again.

We were able to walk to the beach and local restaurants. Fireworks were viewable from our room and Sea Grove had a nice New Years Eve setup.

Sea Haunts location and facilities are a dream location

Good view, kitchen is stocked with every thing needed. The carpets are stained and the windows are cloudy. Overall nice experience and we have already signed up for next year. Couldn't be too bad

We loved this place!

This townhome was in the perfect spot. The beach was close, shopping and dining were within walking distance and the pool was convenient. There were a few minor things with the house that were not so great. We had to keep fixing the toilet upstairs because it would run for so long. There was a nice propane grill, but no grilling tools. The showers needed hand held heads to make getting rid of the sand easier. None of these things were deal breakers for us. We would come back a million times if able!

Perfect Family Vacation

I loved this property. Location is perfect - this small complex is on the beach, you walk out the gate and down the beach access path. Layout is great. There's a bedroom on the first floor as well as a small living area with futon, the rest of the rooms are on the third floor (two bedrooms). Restaurants and shopping are walking distance, this was a perfect family vacation. I would stay here again and if I ever have vacation home funds, I would buy in this community. One note - this community shares a pool and hot tub with another. I forgot the code to that after we went in and you have to enter the code to leave the hot tub (at least from the door I used), so make sure to bring your phone or memorize it :)

Unit needs Maintenance

I hate leaving bad reviews.. Location is everything, and this has great access to the beach, but having a unit that works is also important. This unit had prior water damage, and was in mid repair but was still rented with ceilings unfinished. Every day we found items that needed help - leaky shower, broken toilet seat, patio door wouldn't open, refrigerator shelves broken. master windows salted over and leaked in storm. We called for maintenance on a small list. They came same day to check things out but never returned to resolve the issues. For the cost, this unit was not in good condition.

Beware!

The condo is in desperate need of updating and repairs! The carpet is stained and smells as well as pillows that are stained with what looks like urine! The sliding door to the patio doesn’t work half the time! My husband had to open it every time! The furniture is not what is pictured! The bench seating area is super uncomfortable in what they call the dining area! Most all of the windows are old and fogged up I guess from so much moisture! We had two cockroaches on the porch area! Rust all around the awnings on the main door and patio door! The beds were comfy and the air was cold but that was about it! They should take out of rotation until it is updated and repaired!

Sparkling ocean, sparkling clean townhome

iTrip representatives - reservations and local property management- were exceptional to work with and very responsive. The unobstructed view of the Gulf from the upper floors and the short walk to both the beach and heated pool were definitely the highlights. The home was built in the 1980s with builder grade finishes, and some upgrades are scheduled/some windows and carpets need replacement, but it had been well cleaned and prepared for our arrival. There are modern appliances, comfortable mattresses and furnishings, fluffy towels and nice linens, and a well stocked kitchen for cooking at home. My only caveat would be that the lower level was considerably cooler in Jan and Feb, even when the heat was on, so the garage conversion bedroom (no window) and the futon might not be ideal in the winter months. (A heater is provided.) The whole of South Walton Beaches is experiencing a construction/ renovation boom, including the Seahaunts complex, and that occasionally took away from the serenity of the place, but there is still nowhere like this piece of paradise. I know the area and the price is fair, and you won't be disappointed with the beach, view and service. There are great restaurants nearby. And enjoy those sunsets!

Great locations but needs some updating

This condo is in a great location: walking location to shops and restaurants, very close to the beach and has a less crowded beach area than other places. The condo has a different layout. Not bad- just different. The main living area is on the second floor, so if you can’t do multiple sets of stairs, this is not for you. We booked a very last minute trip (on Memorial Day weekend) so we were mainly looking for clean and good location. We got that. However, this condo could use some sprucing up and updating. Carpet needs replacing, new paint, siding falling off outside which caused it to slap the side of the third floor master bedroom all night in the wind, the sliding patio door is broken and very hard to open and close, upstairs toilet runs constantly, and the front door/lock needs to be worked on (it closes and locks- but with some effort). The downstairs bedroom is the garage with no windows. The beds are clean, the kitchen is nicely stocked, has a nice (partial) view of the ocean from the balcony, very close walk to the beach, and a large, uncrowded pool.

Sea Haunts

Upon arrival, the condo was not clean; used spoon on couch, sticky tables and floors, previously lit tea light candle on tubs edge, half drunk Dr. Pepper bottle left upstairs and sweat pants left in drawers. I text the proper manager and explained the situation. Response was swift and prompt. A cleaning crew arrived the next morning and cleaned the condo. Once the condo was cleaned and we returned to the unit, we noticed that all the toilet paper, which we brought with us, was gone.I contacted the property manager again, explained the situation and the toilet paper was retuned that evening along with other items to help with making our stay more enjoyable. The communication between the property manager and the head of housekeeping was impeccable. For the most part, our stay was pleasant, but the it is obvious that more checks and balances need to be in place to ensure that the units are up to code with cleanliness and preparedness before guest arrive.

Anniversary Getaway

Location was amazing! Check in was a breeze and our host was easy to communicate with if needed. Proximity to the beach is perfect, BUT, this condo needs some MAJOR TLC. Upon arriving you can see siding falling off the exterior in some places. The entrance into the condo was sandy (I understand we are at the beach, but this is not to be expected upon arrival of a freshly cleaned condo) The windows throughout are so old you can’t see the through them. Balcony furniture is not as pictured in the listing, in fact if you were to sit on the seats you would not be able to see above the railing to even get a view of the ocean. The seating around the kitchen table LOOKS like the cushions are comfortable; however, as soon as you sit you sink straight to the hard wood underneath- almost like there is only a thin layer of cotton inside the cushion cover. The carpet throughout is stained and view in the living room is also obstructed because the glass on sliding door needs to be replaced. I really wanted to love our stay in this condo; however, I did not. If these things aren’t a big deal for you then this is a great choice. If not, I suggest you keep searching.

Beautiful view, needs a little TLC

The location is perfect! View from porch and master bedroom are wonderful. The property is quiet and well kept. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking in. The upstairs full bath needs a refresh - but management did address the urgent issues immediately so that our stay was more comfortable.

Great location. Beautiful beach. Property pictures are YEARS too old.

We had a great time. But were surprised by wear and tear on property. Mist pots and pans had to be washed before use. Shower curtains were filthy and should be replaced. As a family we visit 30A twice per year. My husband and I visit 6 or more times. We will request age of property pictures from now on...

This place should be taken out of the management process until the owner decides to make updates.

Pool, location proximity to beach is just great. The condo itself is shameful. The management did their best to accommodate our needs, but there is only so much they can do. Would not stay again if this condo were our only choice despite the managers admission that “this is why we price it that low.” I was not looking for a low price, I was looking for and expecting a very nice, clean, well appointed place. In one room the lamp shades are literally falling off of the metal rim. Under the beds and behind the dressers were all sort of trash from previous occupants. The carpets were cleaned just for us and that is noted, but it wasn’t done until after the previous occupants checked out— day we checked in. Thus our checkin was almost 2 hours late and we have 2 young grandchildren. No place to leave our luggage. The carpet was still so wet that it made very slippery foot prints all over the tile floors. Quite dangerous!! After the cleaners left, we still had to REWASH some of the sheets before feeling comfortable sleeping on them. So, I don’t know who all has culpability here. The manager and I finally had a good visit about our complaining; however, had it not been justified in my opinion not a word would have ever been uttered. The patio furniture is a joke—rundown and the mosaic tile is literally crumbling off of the table. If it were me, I would not put my good name on the management of a condo that the owner clearly has only a profit motive and no concern for potential guests. No hot water in the sink for washing dishes due to clogged filter on faucet. I think you are beginning to understand our discontent.

Perfect location!

We all truly enjoyed our stay. The absolute best location - easy walk to beach, pool, dining, and shopping. I realize it has been hard the past year and half due to people not traveling. The stay would have been perfect with new pillows (it was like sleeping on a brick) and a new coffee maker that also had the single cup option (coffee maker there is on it's last leg.) Very simple fixes or just bring your own pillows. We would all happily stay here again!

The unit was worn and needed maintenance attention

Carpet was badly stained and filthy. furniture was filthy. They were so old that when you sat down you sunk to the bottom. I had to go out and buy spoons as they only had one. The up stairs bathroom shower curtain had a big patch of mold and so did the wall and floor behind the toilet so did the door to the HVAC closet. It was generally not very clean. Had wholes in some for the walls where door stops went throgh the wall and never got fixed. The shelves in the refrigerator were all broken. when we arrived Something had been splattered on the bathroom door and never cleaned up. I would not rent this unit again. Walls and woodwork were all dinged up. Very old and tired. I'm sure there are nicer units. We've rented them in the past. We didn't say anything as i just didn't want to pach up and move after a long trip. So I cleaned it and sanitized it as much as I could myself.
