Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had six people spend 3 nights very comfortably. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. When we called Dan regarding the "missing" air mattress and a low propane tank, he was there within 15 minutes to help us out. And he is so friendly! The location was within walking distance to restaurants and the grocery store. We enjoyed being able to hang out on the deck and use the grill. It was a treat to get up during the night and find 4 deer hanging out in the back yard. We stayed in Custer primarily to enjoy the bike trail, which is also just blocks away. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Amazing base for black hills trip

We had been on the road traveling for over 3 weeks. This beautiful home was a welcomed change from resorts and hotels. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this rental for 5 nights. There are 7 of us, 3 adults and 4 children under 8.

The owner: Dan's communication before we arrived and through out our stay was so helpful and appreciated. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and that helped me make the most of our time there. He was even able to bring us an extra power strip during our stay (which no one else would probably even need we had just brought our firestick for evening entertainment and we didn't feel right unplugging things out of the power supply to the back of the TV.)

The property: CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. My favorite thing about the property was how it was immaculate. I am a little bit of a clean freak. I always bring cleaning supplies because I never know if my idea of clean is some one else's. Everything was clean and spotless. My husband's favorite thing was the location which was perfect for all the things we wanted to do in the Blackhills. We saw Mount Rushmore, Bear Country, Reptile Gardens, Cosmos, Story book Island, Wind Caves, and enjoyed Hill City and Keystone and Custer State Park The rental was centrally located. The kids enjoyed the back deck and actually played out there quite a bit when we were home. We made all of our breakfasts and dinners there. The basics were all supplied at the rental. It was awesome to have a dishwasher and washer/dryer unit in the rental. There were enough towels for all of us and dishes.

We would definitely stay here again and next time we will bring more of our family or friends with us and rent out both sides of this property. I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5

My cousins and I stayed at this home in Custer for 4 nights as we planned a family reunion at Custer State Park. The owner was very responsive and we found the house to be perfectly located to explore the area as well as to walk to the store to pick up groceries or go to one of the nearby restaurants. We used the grill and the back deck for one of our dinners. The beds were comfortable and the showers had really great water pressure. I would definitely recommend this house.
