Harney House is Great!

  • 5 of 5

Easily one of the best places we have stayed. We are two couples who enjoyed the place immensely. Aside from being 6'4" tall, I was able to navigate both of the upstairs bedroom ceiling angles easily. This place had everything we needed or wanted. We used it to stage ourselves out to see Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis and the like. Mostly, we liked the one block walk to Main St. Custer where all manner of wonderful places to shop, eat and drink beers were at. Our last night's Saloon Crawl was easy and safe.

All said, this is a great place to rest and relax and we look forward to coming back to see all that territory we missed this time.

Thanks, Dan, for letting us stay in the Harney House!

Wonderful house and location

  • 5 of 5

This house fit all of us with no problems, and it was so nicely renovated and updated inside. Loved having all the amenities as the laundry room came in quite handy a few times. We had a great time exploring the hills and Custer. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Will be booking it again.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had six people spend 3 nights very comfortably. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. When we called Dan regarding the "missing" air mattress and a low propane tank, he was there within 15 minutes to help us out. And he is so friendly! The location was within walking distance to restaurants and the grocery store. We enjoyed being able to hang out on the deck and use the grill. It was a treat to get up during the night and find 4 deer hanging out in the back yard. We stayed in Custer primarily to enjoy the bike trail, which is also just blocks away. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!
