Sashi attended to all our needs & made our children feel so welcome they almost lived with her. The accommodation is surperb and spacious with large indoor and outdoor spaces. We had a lovely time there and did some exploring for hot springs and volcanos. A splendid time was had by all!
It was our utmost pleasure to host you and family, your children are so sweet, bright and well behaved, Sashi had much fun and entertainment engaging with them. We look forward to your return anytime! Thank You and Pura Vida
Best word to describe this place is "AMAZING"
The house is beautiful, comfortable and has spacious open floor plan with extensive property and mature fruit trees. MONKEY's came to eat all the Mangos!! We saw them up close and intimate! it was magical! The ocean is close enough to hear sometimes loud at night but it lulled me to sleep, the River Nosara is walking distance, TONS to explore. We had a family reunion at the villa and the kids enjoyed the tidal pools and fishing off the rocks. The beach is very clean and secluded. My family all complemented me on picking such a perfect villa, location and perfect reunion arrangments (which Sashii orchestrated to perfection!! Thank You Sweetheart!!) Again, thank you Alekzandra and S for sharing the Nosarananda Experience and your oasis with us. I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.
Blissed out - Heaven on Earth
You will not be disappointed with this VRBO treasure. It is beautifully situated, lovely gardens with flowers and butterflys, very private and quiet, very clean with staff more often than expected (they cleaned every other day or so and helped with laundry, machine worked great). A simple but full kitchen with all the herbal tea, tropical fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice and Kangen purified water we could drink, the beds are very comfortable and linens/towels were changed regularly. There is lots of deck space with plenty of tables and chairs to sit in to enjoy the awesome environment, hammock to watch the sky at sunrises and serious sunsets! The garden was clean, watered and a good size with plenty of shady space to practice yoga (mats were provided) and soak in the hot sun (complimentary sarongs and bottles of raw artisean coconut oil were provided). There were 6 of us girls who work together, took a getaway for a healthy "Medicinal Meals Retreat" and this is definitely the place to be, to relax, detox and recharge! There is a long table where we could all be together to share in the excellently and lovingly prepared gourmet food, and while enjoying your meal, you are surrounded by lots of jungle nature and all the sounds in the fresh air. Sashi is wonderful, took care of all our needs, was a real insight and support to harmonious living here, and was always prompt in responding. You will definitely want to come back once you experience the vibe here!! True health nut haven! Make sure to try Arkaya Yoga, the Banana Green smoothie, Bliss Lime Balls and Gerdas Pumpkin Coconut Soup - you can check out more on their website or fb page Nosarananda
We have pictures and chats with the host to prove what we experienced! Stay away!
This was our 5th time in the area, we like it here!
But for first time we have to make a bad review!
Me, my wife our two children a baby and 8 yo boy, we stayed at vila ceiba for 7 nights and 3 nights at casa Sita.
Vila ceiba is where we started our stay, the vila wasn’t cleaned for our arrival at all, there was dust and grease everywhere in kitchen, counter top, sink, fridge, cabinets, floors..
The glasses, cutlery and plates were old, used and not cleaned!
The towels and sheets ar 20 years old, ripped and looking dirty!
The first night of our stay we put some clothes in the washing machine which 15 min later released all the water all over the floors in the vila. Me and my son had to clean together with our host Sasha, she gave us tools and equipment which was old, broken and so dirty. Btw never apologized or said thank you for us helping her with this issue.
The next day toilet broke, water leak was so noisy there was no way to hide from it! It took 3 days for the repair services for both the washer and toilet.
After couple of days we were moved to Sashi place casa Sita, there we had real unpleasant and stressful time. First of all we were not allowed to use the washing machine, she simply locked the space and didn’t care for our needs and that we have kids. She just doesn’t want to spend any money on extra expense! We had no washed clothes for Xmas or New Years. She would just promised next day and nex day and next day.
Sashi also never arranged cleaning for our 10 days stay.
At the same time Sashi had 2 local women every day at casa Sita working for her orange juice business, the women were loud and they had full access to the house, they used the kitchen they used our toilet. They spend the whole day with us like a family.
On top of The workers Sashi has 4 dogs, 2 cats and 6 horses, the dogs were nice and clean, but during the night they barked all night every night like crazy! We couldt do anything to stop it!
Sahsi ignored is every time we e mailed her or she would smile and say she doesn’t believe that those are her dogs when we spoke in person.
Sasha also blamed us for some that was spilled on her coach at casa Sita(there was no coach at casa ceiba btw, empty room)
Her coach is so dirty that smells. I asked her to show me where was the spill and she didn’t have anything to say, but the cleaners cleaned it already.. that coach is so dirty it’s hard when u touch it, we are charged additional money for the spill!
I do not recommend
This guest and family had visited, in person, BOTH the properties at Nosarananda two separate times in the previous year, in order to view prior to renting. Both Ivan and his wife expressed great interest in renting Casa Ceiba for vacation, but waited until One Week prior to Christmas to request dates. Ivans wife Elena, contacted Sashi personally, pleading to help them find accommodations for 10nights. Sashi explained the rental situation clearly over the phone and Elena agreed to the circumstances, she acknowledged there would be a temporary stay at Casa Sita for three nights, which is a Working Shared Villa that has 4 Dogs, 2 Cats, ONE Horse, (the adjacent 1200m2 field occasionally has horses for the night when working tours) because of an exisiting reserv at Casa Ceiba already in place, Elena and Ivan did not want to pay full high season rate and it was agreed for them to pay regular rate at Sashi’s recommendation, she went over and above our already strict call of duty tending these clients; who agreed to arrive between 3 and 5pm but did not arrive until AFTER 8pm ON DECEMBER 25th - leaving Sashi waiting and missing Christmas dinner. Who travels with children on Christmas?? and doesn't pack separate clean clothes for the occasion? When they arrived, Elena was covered in baby vomit and requested the washing machine that was serviced to work properly for these guests prior to arrival, unfortunately the tech didn’t correctly seal the drain tube, there was some water leak that was cleaned by Sashi immediately, the drain tube was fixed Dec 27th - Guests were given FREE several 1L bottles of Fresh Organic Orange Juice, staff hand washed their baby carrier and other things not suitable for the washing machine AND in room Massage! The dates of Decemebr 25th, 31st and 1st of January have NO additional staff as per Holiday but all other days staff was on hand full time to clean and tend to the Villas, if something isn’t clean or missing, we ask guests to report immediately so we can rectify asap. These guests did not want to vacate Casa Sita and return to Casa Ceiba, stating they didnt want to move and were too busy looking at properties, they had 3 extra nights and then additional staff had to be hired to pack their belongings to move them back to Ceiba. The COUCH at Casa Sita is a FUTON, baby vomit was reported by two staff. This negative review is a shock and a viscious attempt to slander our business. We take pride in our Property, Service and Satisfaction
Beautiful, tranquil and secluded
The house is beautiful and Sashi is an attentive host. This was our first visit to the NIcoya coast, and we enjoyed it very much. We were looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful, sunny spot and that is just what we got. We were there during the dry season in February.
The best things about this property: The house itself is well-kept. Our favorite spot was definitely the wide veranda surrounded by lovely palms. The master bed is very comfortable, the view out every window is beautiful, having two bathrooms, and the library of reading material. And Sashi herself, who helped us find organic produce, medicine when needed, good restaurants, and made a reservation for a surfing lesson.
There is a dearth of comfortable furniture in the house, but we found our favorite chairs and moved them wherever we wanted to be. There were ants in the house, but we have those at home too, and they were easily dealt with.
Be prepared for night noises (I was glad for my earplugs) and cool showers (actually quite welcome in the warm climate). Also be prepared to drive miles of rough gravel roads to get there--it's best to rent a larger vehicle or use a shuttle.
We were pleasantly surprised by how many wonderful restaurants were nearby AND how easy it was to find vegetarian and vegan options at the restaurants. La Luna and El Chivo were our favorites. The beach was just beautiful! We spent most of our time at Playa Pelada, but also went to Playa Guiones to surf. Guiones also has great restaurants and some nice shops, but is more crowded and commercial than Pelada.
Overall, a great community to vacation in, and this house a very nice place to stay. We'd love to go back!
Quiet place near beautiful beaches
We stayed for three weeks and had our children and grandchildren come at various times. The home has a very large second bedroom which was Great for our extra guests. It was a short walk to a beautiful beach and a few restaurants and a tuktuk could get two people around very easily to explore playa guiones which is the next beach over where there is more activity. Shashi was very helpful with making arrangements for us and advising us on things to do. The house was spacious but the appliances and plumbing are getting old so you can't do much cooking there. The house was on a very quiet street away from the dusty roads which was nice. Lots of trees for shade and a nice breeze across the porch helped us stay cool in the afternoon.
