The marvelous interior design and soothing ambiance along with the wide range of hiking and watersports right outside the back door make this property a phenomenal choice for your next getaway. Enjoy waterskiing (boat rental available on the lake) plus complimentary kayaks, SUPs and floats off the private dock. End the days' activities at the outdoor BBQ, firepit and hot tub by the lake. We purchased our property in Truckee after we retired in 2023 from the Bay Area. We worked with a local architect (Marsden Architects) and local builder to build our retirement home for us and our extended family. To make ends meet, we are renting our home a little over a month a year (to start). We hope you enjoy it and appreciate it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We love the daily change of view and the easy access to Donner Lake. The view is always stunning to us. It is also an easy walk through the neighborhood for breakfast (The Kitchen) or an afternoon drink and food at either end of the Lake (Mountain Brew and The Pub.) A longer but still very nice 2 mile hike on an accessible path is met with another favorite of ours, the Donner Creek Brewery.

It is rare to find a property to rent right on Donner Lake's north shore and even rarer to find a new property that is available to rent.
