Cesar, our host, was really nice and helpful and we could reach out to him whenever we had a question. All the workers on site where really nice and friendly. The farm is setup within beautiful surroundings and there where lots of farm animals to look at. We are definitely planning on coming back again in fall!

Perfect farm stay - awesome for toddlers

Our two year old loved staying at Cesar's. She loved being greeted by the three cats and Faial the dog. The cottages are cozy and quiet. The farm itself was beautiful. We were able to make a meal from the garden and fresh eggs. Cesar is a great host who lets you engage at your own pace. He took us to his cousin's farm to pet some baby goats and see the goats being milked. We were also lucky enough to share some amazing bread, fava beans, cheese and wine. We arrived after two weeks of spring rain and were greated by fields of wildflowers. The castle courtyard in the nearby town of Terena was filled with red poppy flowers. And we had the whole place to ourselves. There is so much to explore in the area and yet you feel like the only tourist in town. All in all we would highly recommend staying on the farm for as long as you can. I hope we can get back soon!

Très bon sejour, le lieu est conforme aux descriptions.on y trouve ce que l'on est venu chercher , la tranquillité et l'authenticité de l'Aletenjo. La piscine et ideale pour un moment de rafraichissement avec ses espaces ensoleillés et ombragés. Merci a Cesar pour son accueil aibdi qu'a M et Migas. Wunderbares Domizil

In diesem Haus, was alles bietet, was man braucht, haben mein Hund und ich zwei wunderbare Wochen verbracht. Wenn man die Ruhe sucht, ist es genau das Richtige. Umgeben von einer tollen Landschaft und vielen Tieren (Hunde, Katzen, Hühner, Esel usw.) Dennoch ist man in kurzer Zeit in den historischen Städten wie Estremoz oder Monsaraz. Den täglichen Bedarf kann man im kleinen Supermarkt im Dorf besorgen. Wann immer ich etwas brauchte, war Cesar sofort zur Stelle, die ganze Atmosphäre ist sehr familiär, was ich wahnsinnig geschätzt habe. Ich werde sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Netheid en rust

We verbleven in een zeer nette, schone en ruime woning in een prachtige omgeving. Sobere, maar efficiënte inrichting. Enig minpuntje is de verlichting in huis. Wij hebben altijd zelf een goede lamp bij ons dus hadden er geen last van. César is een geweldige gastheer, open en behulpzaam. Hij is altijd bereikbaar zonder opdringerig te zijn. We konden gemakkelijk communiceren (in het Engels).

A casa é mas tem o essencial. A piscina é partilhada e é ideal para crianças, não é muito extensa. Na quinta, tem os animais, galinhas, gansos, perús e a burra, que é um sucesso com as crianças. Os donos foram muitos atenciosos. Gostaria repetir a estadia.

excelente refúgio

A casa em que ficámos é muito acolhedora e bem equipada. Proprietário muito simpático, sempre disponível para envolver as crianças na alimentação dos animais da quinta. Piscina bem cuidada e paisagem envolvente maravilhosa, bem no meio do campo alentejano. Boa localização para passeios nas próximidades: Terena, Alandroal, Monsaraz, praias fluviais de Monsaraz e Mourão, Juromenha, etc. A voltar!

Boa estadia

Foi uma semana ótima, correu tudo muito bem. Um sitio ótimo para estar com a família e descansar, apenas acho que o espaço poderia estar mais bem tratado. As fotografias pareciam muito melhores do que o espaço é na realidade. Mas recomendo vivamente, as pessoas são todas muito simpáticas e sempre muito acessíveis.

Falta conforto

O espaço podia estar mais bem cuidado. As casas estão muito bem limpas mas falta algum conforto. Muito preocupação na poupança de energia ao ponto de termos de ligar as luzes do telemovel para chegar a casa. Nem a luzes de energia solar funcionam e nao abundam. Poderiam ter um intensificador de sinal wifi e não dizer para ficarmos à porta do dono ddo monte para ter sinal! Pessoas simpaticas mais ainda têm muito a aprender nesta área.

A paz entre planícies douradas

O Monte dos Vicente é o espaço ideal para um retiro em família no coração do Alentejo. Privacidade, silêncio, Natureza, calor, céu estrelado e muita simpatia. Para quem gosta de sentir-se em casa longe de casa. Os mergulhos na piscina coroam a experiência. Obrigada.

Why they chose this property

The world turns a little slower in the Alentejo... and life on Monte Vicentes slips softly by with little noise or stress.

We have a large arbutus unedo grove, olives grove, an orchard and vegetable garden and we also raise sheep and chickens. Having long since banned the use of any chemicals on the farm, we have been certified as organic, with permission to use the European ‘organic agriculture’ endorsement.

If you prefer to simply watch farm life unfold, rather than actively participate, we have five patios to compete for your slumbers! The pool patio is also where we have barbeques, then there is a patio in front of the guest cottages and another with views over the orchard and vegetable garden, another where you can relax at the waterfall coming from our fountain and also the hammocks patio where you just can have a nap.

What makes this property unique

We will provide you with detailed maps and inside info that will give you a deep appreciation of this unspoiled corner of Europe: castles, cathedrals; archeology; ancient forest and unaltered gastronomy. From slate and marble to olives and deep red wine... and of course, when the night falls, each night, you’ll have the privilege to star gazing in the one that’s considered the Europe’s clearest night skies.
