The Lake House 3 miles from Elk Mountain Ski Resort. Mountain Views

The Lake House is great for a laid back vacation in the mountains. The views from the great room and deck will have you relaxed in no time. Come enjoy some downtime in the Endless Mountains.

Visit in the winter and enjoy skiing, ice fishing and snowshoeing. Less than 4 miles to Elk Mountain Ski Resort.

We provide two kayaks and two life jackets. Visit in the summer and enjoy swimming, fishing, biking and boating.

Come spend some time in the great outdoors and you will go home feeling relaxed, renewed and refreshed.

The Lake House is newly renovated and was built for easy living. It has a farmhouse feel with just the right touch of mid-century modern. Come in, kick off your shoes and relax.

The Lake house offers reverse living with a deck for sunbathing, star gazing and cocktails. The kitchen/living room is on the top floor so you can enjoy the views of the Lake Lowe and Elk Mountain while you relax with family and friends.

Downstairs there are two bedrooms hidden behind barn doors. Bedroom one offers a queen bed and the second features 3 cozy built in singles. There is a full size bed in the downstairs space for extra guest. The mudroom and bathroom are also on the bottom floor.

Guest access

You will have access to the lake from the public dock for kayaking (two kayaks are provided for your use) swimming, fishing, and boating in the summer and ice fishing and ice skating in the winter.

Interaction with guests

You will have the Lake house to yourself. we are happy to recommend great places to dine, fun places to hear live bands, hiking trails and things to do in the area.

Other things to note

Rails for Trails for hiking and biking is less than 1 mile away.

Elk Mountain for skiing and boarding is 4 miles away.

The closest grocery store is 35 minutes away so you will want to bring all your food and booze.

Location was great. Parking was a bit of an issue due to the parking area being dug up but other than that it was a nice quick stay.

Wonderful location

Owners were very quick to respond about any question and are super accommodating! The location is amazing and we really enjoyed our time on the lake swimming and kayaking. The short distance was super ideal, and having a shower on the first floor to jump into right after was very convenient. There is a big beautiful firepit to warm up by at night and stars were plentiful for viewing. Memories for a lifetime, super grateful

Very nice and quant place. Close to elk mountain

Had a short stay at this place and enjoyed very much. While it sleeps 6 plus guests, I would recommend more for a family then friends getaway. The downstairs area is congested with one bathroom and crossing through a common bedroom to get to it. Some minor upgrades would include a fan in bathroom, a curtain over the door leading to bedrooms, and consider completely enclosing the garage door.

Great quick stop

We only stayed one night on our way back from Niagara falls to Bucks county. The house was very nice and clean. We have stayed at many houses in the endless mountains and have been very lucky to find some gems. We really enjoyed the peaceful Lake Lowe, and the people in the neighborhood were very friendly. There were no boats out on the water when we were there which made it nice to fish off the dock. There was no A/C in the house but there were several fans for us to use. Putting the fans on near the sliding doors and the windows brought in a lot of the cool mountain air which was great for sleeping. Next time we will try to stay a little longer to spend more time out on the lake and exploring.

Far below expectations

The property was rather nice and the location pleasant. With the exception of a comment to follow, in cooler weather a family of two adults and two or three kids might find it acceptable. I would think that others might find it less so. The lower level was stiflingly hot as the only ventilation was a single, small window in the bathroom. Things improved when I positioned the three box fans to route air from the upstairs into the bedrooms. I suggested to Lisa and Bob that they install exhaust fans. The three beds in the second room were positioned as shown in the photo. The length of the third bed is truncated by the underside of the steps to the second floor and is accessed via a fixed ladder that somewhat restricts easy access to the lower bunk. Our biggest concern was the narrow landing at the top of the stairs. You can see from the photo that it’s not what I would consider safe. In fact, my wife fell. Fortunately, she was going up, so was only bruised. Such was my concern that, however, that before I left for lunch the next day with friends, I took her to our son’s cottage rather than spend my time thinking of her at the bottom of the steps.A rather minor irritation was that the cleaning crew apparently were less than reliable, as some promised things were inadequate or missing entirely. Lisa and Bob corrected that the next day.That said, Lisa and Bob were pleasant and accommodating. I wish them the best, but potential renters must understand what they are get

Cute and comfy

The home was just the right for my kids and me. It was clean and was exactly how it was described online. We enjoyed the lake and playing games at the table with a pretty view! It was a bit musty downstairs, but there were humidifiers there to use and that helped some. The mudroom area was beautiful and the ease of getting down to the lake was great!

Weekend stay

Accommodations and location were great. House is easy to find from highway, but still peaceful and relaxing. It rained one night and the small metal roof awning next to sleeping area became very loud, but that is our only complaint.

Nice place!

We loved our stay for family of four weekend skiing at Elk. The upstairs living area is spacious with a well-stocked kitchen and beautiful view of lake and Elk. Host was great and responsive. We would love to return.

Winter weekend stay

This was our second consecutive winter weekend staying and it was great! The house is very close to Ell Mt and was clean upon arrival. The hosts were also nice and super helpful. We had an issue with the tv remote (ended up being just a bad remote), but they handled it right away and offered a replacement that worked. They also shoveled and salted the front steps while we were out. The house provides just what we need and we look forward to staying again.

All you need

Very cute, cozy place. Super close to Elk Mountain with a beautiful view of a lake. Plenty of space for sitting and mingling. The house has all you need for comfortable trip - plenty of bedding, full kitchen, full bathroom... will be booking for the next visit to Elk. Thank you!

Elk Ski Trip

We had a great time at Lisa's mountain house. Perfect location for an Elk Mountain ski trip. The house was perfect. Exactly as described. I'll certainly come back. Love the place and the owner was right on top of everything.

Experience was good and host was a pleasure. Property was cute however the WiFi non existent and no streaming service for entertainment. House has some punch out work that needs completed to button it up but overall good and I’d stay again. Nice house, nice host and fair exchange price for the stay

We did not get to enjoy this rental for a true vacation trip, however I would highly recommend for a skiing/snowboarding trip!

Nice Place

This is a nice place on Lake Lowe. I was there at the end of summer for a quick getaway but I can see this being the perfect place for the winter season if you're in to skiing/ snowboarding.

Nice stay at Lake Lowe

My husband, dog and I had a nice stay! The house was very clean and provided all of our needs. Although the house did not have AC, the owners provided fans for us. Access to the lake was provided, but we found another access point so our dog could swim as he couldn't off the dock. It would have been nice to have a boat of some sort. We always enjoy going to Arlo's for good food, drinks, music, mini golf and store. Overall we had a nice time and will look to come back. Thanks!
