This home was excellent. You wake up to a beautiful view of Lake Barkley every morning. I loved being able to get my coffee and walk down to the dock to fish. It made for a relaxing morning. The house is ideal for family vacations. There are enough activities to keep your group busy but the home is large enough that family members can find quiet space to take a break. Between fishing, games in the basement and swimming off the dock, our group was content to spend days at the house rather than venture out. The hosts were great to work with and very responsive. I would highly recommend this property for a family vacation.

5 Stars! Lindsey was wonderful to work with and our family of 14 had every accommodation we could ask for!The kitchen was very equipped and the beds were comfortable. Very clean, great location! We are already planning our next visit!

Had trouble with the AC - they came to check it, but we could never get it to cool down even though the outside temperatures were cool. We had a group of 12 and sleeping was rough with it being so warm in the house. Had to go and purchase a box fan to blow cool air in through the windows to try to help cool the main level off while we were working. (This was a working staff retreat)

I’m sorry the temperature did not feel comfortable for your group. The home was maintained at 66° prior to arrival and the system was functioning properly. Upon check-in, the thermostat was “bumped to 70°”, by your group. We were first notified of concerns at 8:44 PM on the second night of your 3 night stay. A technician was on site by 9:30 AM the next morning and returned again that afternoon to confirm the system was operating and temperatures were improving. We responded promptly and took multiple steps to address any concerns during your stay.

THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE!This place was perfect for our family reunion of 11 adults and 8 kids ranging from 6 to 13 years old. The house is situated on a short inlet off the main lake, providing a peaceful, relaxing environment with only an occasional boat going by (we were there at the end of June). There was so much room for all of us to spread out. The adults could hang out on the huge wrap-around porches (2 levels) without being disturbed by the kids playing inside. There was ping-pong, foosball, and a couple of classic arcade games to play when we were not swimming or using the paddle board or two kayaks, all provided by the hosts. We rented pontoon boats from the marina (about 10 minutes away) and took the kids tubing. In the evening we sang old camp songs around a fire in the huge fire pit area. The beds were very comfy and the boys loved the bunk room. The whole house was clean and well equipped. The kitchen was large and easily accommodated all of us. There is a Dollar General about 15 minutes away to buy toilet paper, dish washer detergent, trash bags and other supplies (the hosts provide “starters” but with a group this big we needed more). The hosts were quick to respond to text messages through Vrbo and allowed us to have an extra car in the driveway. All in all, we had a marvelous time. The memories we made are priceless, and we can’t wait to go back again!

This home was perfect for our family. We had 8 adults and 8 children (ages 1-9), and we had plenty of room! The wrap-around porch was where we spent a lot of our time! We ate all of our meals out there, and it was a great place for the kids to play, keeping them contained and safe from the water. We also enjoyed the outdoors at the fire pit roasting marshmallows, fishing, and jumping off the dock. Our view of the lake was beautiful, and it provided great fun, as we rented a pontoon and tube and cruised around the lake. it was a memorable experience!

We recently attended a family wedding in Princeton, KY. Being from NJ, we really knew nothing about this area and needed a place for a combination of 16 adults and kids to stay. A few of us started looking for a potential spot to stay in and this place was standing out. We decided to book it. I have learned that until you arrive, you are keeping fingers crossed and that all is good. This place did not disappoint, and it pretty much exceeded all our expectations.The house is beautiful and well appointed. It had everything we needed and was a perfect staging ground for getting the bridal party prep and photos before the ceremony. All the guest rooms worked perfectly for both adults and kids. The game room especially kept the kids occupied. The wrap around deck provided for much relaxation and views of the lake were exceptional. Both the kitchen and the outdoor grill let us cook and dine in style. One of our party was celebrating their 70th birthday and we found a local Princeton butcher that provided excellent steaks to grill! The dock provided an excellent spot to swim and kayak. It was the first time for some of the Jersey kids to swim in a lake and they loved it. If we had a bit more time, we would have rented a boat to dock there and explore the lake.Perhaps our favorite feature was the wonderful hardscaping, including a fun fire pit. We really enjoyed an evening hanging out there including making some delicious S’mores and sipping wine.Would stay again!

We had an excellent experience with this property and host! The property was perfect for our large group of 17 people. Very clean and had plenty of room for all of us. The wrap around porch was the perfect spot and the dock worked great for our rental boat. I typically worry about 3rd floor temperatures in the summer, but it was very cool and comfortable throughout the entire house. We had some exchanges with the host, and she responded very promptly to all of our questions! She was an excellent host!We hope to stay here again!
