We had a wonderful stay overall. The home was spotless, and the towels were soft and nice, which is a detail we really appreciated. The hot tub was clean and a highlight of the trip. The location was a big plus too. It was the perfect distance from Galena and close to a lot of hiking. I also loved the birds, with so many right out front.A few things to note for future guests: the septic tank is close to the house, and there was often a sewage smell, especially when the wind picked up. It didn't ruin the stay, but it was noticeable. We were also very aware of how close the other cabins are, especially with the trees losing their leaves, so privacy may be limited in the fall. Finally, the propane tanks for both the fire pit and the grill turned out to be empty the entire time we were there. We didn't discover it until our last night, and since it was late, we didn't mention it to the host. I'm sure they would have taken care of it if we had, but it's worth checking when you arrive. Those small issues aside, we'd happily stay again. Thank you for hosting!
