Picture yourself sitting on the glassed/screened in porch at sunset, overlooking the Smoky Mountains, sipping a glass of complimentary wine. It does not get much better than this summer, winter, spring and fall. Our three bedroom two bath country cottage has all the modern conveniences and the charms of the country. If you are a couple looking to get away from it all or a multi generational family having a holiday get together, Bella Vista is right for you! The main floor has an open plan great room with a fully stocked large kitchen for preparing great meals for family and friends. In the summer spring and fall you will find pots filled with fresh herbs that are there for the picking...even tomatoes too! We have a lovely dining area with an antique farmers table and a large comfy living room with a gas fireplace and satellite TV,(although the view from the windows and the the glassed in porch with four rocking chairs off the living area provide great scenic beauty)...there are two bedrooms on the main floor with Queen beds, master bedroom has a bathroom with shower and tub. Lower floor has a bedroom with twin beds and a game room/satellite TV set up... gas heater, Ping Pong table and Pool table with plenty of room for the family. We have stocked the house with books, games, puzzles and DVDs for those nights you just want to stay in. There are three decks off the house, all with panoramic views; upstairs has a wood and charcoal burning grill and downstairs is a gas grill, fire pit and comfortable adirondak chairs for sitting and enjoying the view and the fresh air. There is a side lawn with fruit bearing trees if you are lucky enough to be there in season. We installed a brand new washer and dryer when we renovated in 2013 and the house is fully air conditioned in the summer (although you will want to throw the windows open for the crisp cool summer evenings) and furnace for the winter. This is a four seasons rental, we are set up comfortably for 6 people although we could sleep 8 ..all linens, toiletries, dishes, pots and pans and other essentials are provided...the cupboards are filled with spices, oils, vinegars, mustards and other mainstays to start you on your cooking experience. We have thrown great dinner parties and barbecues for friends and family.

About Richard Eisen
As a south Floridian, my husband spent his childhood summers in the Smokies, and always felt drawn to the area...I am a native New Yorker and had never been to the area until I married Richard 18 years ago...we had come up to the area 3 times before renting for three months last summer...we fell in love with the Hendersonville/Flat Rock area and decided to find a place of our own. We spend our winters in South Florida and now will be spending a lot of time in NC...it is a dream come true having this incredible house with a $5 million dollar view...and having the ability to share it with other like minded people.
Richard Eisen purchased this House in 2013
Why Richard Eisen chose Hendersonville
We spent a few weeks looking for a house, and we were beginning to think we were never going to find what we wanted...nothing seemed right. As we were about to look at another property, we had an unexpected detour in the road...and had to go out of our way...when we saw a small For Sale By Owner sign...we followed the road, saw the view and said this is it...and two weeks later we owned it...it was meant to be. We think everyone who stays here will feel the same...fresh clean mountain air, beautiful vistas from almost every room...and sunsets too magnificent to describe...the house is an open plan home with lots of light. There are hiking trails, golf, theater, shopping, dining nearby...no shortage of things for the whole family...and great dinners to be had with sunset cocktails on the closed in porch overlooking the valley and at least 7 mountain ridges
What makes this House unique
The house is on a paved road, maintained by the county and the state, it is 3000 feet up and quite private, but minutes away from Hendersonville and Flat Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest...and a half hour from Asheville and the surrounding parks and recreation areas.

Everything was wonderful and we were sad that our stay was so short! The views were amazing. We felt very welcome and they had all the amenities we could have wanted. It was close to some beautiful areas and a short drive from downtown Hendersonville. We would definitely recommend this for a family vacation.
We are thrilled you liked it.We do also Spring into Summer is great although any switch of seasons is really nice
The property looked just as it was shown in the photos on VBRO
Overall we were very pleased and happy with Bella Vista. It suited our purpose for visiting the area very well. We especially liked the fresh mountain breezes and lovely views. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked and supplied and beds comfortable. WiFi was very good and consistent and reliable. Lounge area and outdoor decks were comfortable and afforded good relaxation times. The only small downside was the basement level area whilst ideal for game playing (the kids loved the pool and ping pong table). It was very dusty and chilly and damp, with a noticeable gas odor ,the gas fire helped, however the bedroom was too cold to sleep in at night. A bathroom on that level would have also helped enormously as the stairs to main level were quite steep. In addition the overall outside area of garden could have used a good clean and tidy up. I appreciate winter debris and leaves etc. however the steps to viewing platform were quite unsafe and the bridge and rock area were dismantled completely. However we would definitely consider a return stay to the property as we loved the area especially Hendersonville and the Highland Park.
Thank you for your review we appreciate that you had a good stay and enjoyed the property. We would love to host you again, it is really an all season property. We did not get up to Hendersonville this spring to do our maintenance and will be taking note of your concerns and suggestions.
We hope to have you as our guest again

We couldn't be happier with the the accommodations at Bella Vista! The house was lovely, views were magnificent, very comfortable and clean. Richard, the owner, always responded right away to any questions we had.
The complimentary bottle of wine was a warm welcome and really nice touch. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Great place. Great area. Beautiful view.
We were celebrating our anniversary. It was very quiet, and we had a lovely view.
Very homey and accommodating. 15 minutes away from DuPont State Forest.
While short our stay in Bella Vista was very pleasant and enjoyable. The house had everything we needed and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us as a home welcome gift. Thank you Richard, we enjoyed it around the fire pit waiting for the sunset. The boys had fun in the basement playing pool and table tennis. The cabin is just a short drive from DuPont State Forest which was our main goal. Close to Table rock, Brevard and Hendersonville as well. The house was very accessible and the directions provided easy to follow. Thank you guys for the hospitality!
Thank you for your nice review we are glad the property met your expectations. We love it up there and are always happy when our guests have a good stay. Please keep us in mind for another stay, it is a year round destination, cool in the summer, cozy in the winter and perfect in spring and spectacular in the fall.

All About The View
Yes, the view was beautiful, especially if the weather cooperates. The complimentary bottle of wine was very much appreciated. Thank you. The art in the house is very intriguing and fun. Also, the owners have added some great touches, plenty of towels and bathrobes, the kitchen more than stocked with what you need to spice up a great meal. The instructions, directions and recommendations were greatly appreciated. The house is good for all ages of families. Google Maps got us there without a hitch. Dupont State Forest is about a 15 minute drive and offers fantastic hiking and mountain biking and is a very dog friendly area. Flat Rock is 10 minutes away and if you like BBQ then Hubba Bubba's is a must. Check out the Flat Rock Play House for sure. Hendersonville is 15 minutes and offers plenty of dining options (Yelp works great) and craft beer breweries abound. Hendersonville is very pet friendly and quaint (not crowded). We did visit Asheville and found it to be a bit crowded and overpriced. The Biltmore is something worth seeing if have have never done it.
Only 2 negatives in the house: The pool table and ping pong table are undersized and great for kids only (not adults). We brought our dogs thinking there would be lots of room for them to run. Not so, because the house is built on the side of a mountain. However, we thank them for accommodating them and us. We highly recommend this and hope that you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
You may drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit Pisgah National Forest, The Grove Park Inn, DuPont Triple Falls, Historic Main Streets, Carl Sandburg Home, The Biltmore House, Asheville artist studios, Chimney Rock, multiple farmers markets in season with bountiful local produce during the day, Apple orchards and countless farm to table restaurants...the best the region has to offer..Flat Rock Playhouse is only a short drive and is a great regional theater...we love the many craft and local festivals...There is always something going on for everyone in the family
