Stone's Beach House



The Space:

Experience the beauty of the Oregon Coast from the comfort of this cozy home. The location, mere steps from the shoreline, offers scenic views of Netarts Bay and several beaches are within close driving distance. After a day of combing the beach or catching waves on your surfboard, kick back in the main living area, where large windows invite in bay views and natural light. Unwind by the woodstove with a vacation read or flip channels on the TV. A wet bar that seats four provides a convenient perch for preparing and sipping cocktails. Downstairs, an additional living area features more space to relax and watch TV. Prepare favorite recipes in the well-equipped kitchen, then share meals at the four-person dining table. A washer/dryer adds convenience during your stay.

Two queen Murphy beds are available for guest use (with accompanying bed linens in the closets).

Love the location, not touristy. Convenient beach access and good views. Beach access not for anyone with mobility issues-steep and have big rocks at the end

Great Location

Nice views, the upstairs is spacious with a fireplace and bar, feels like my grandparents house from the 70's with decor, really enjoyed it.

Great Location with Sub Par Beds

This is a great place to stay. It's open and has great views of Netarts Bay. Everything is clean although quite dated and the carpet upstairs could use a refresh. Our issue was the beds. They are old and worn out. We're talking the most inexpensive spring mattresses money can buy. It's basically a springboard that you can sleep on. Other than that, this place was great!

Just OK

The property is very dated and in need of upgrades. The location is great and the access to the beach down the stairs is good, and the house heats up quickly and the beds are comfortable. But, the actual property needs lots of TLC. They need hooks and towel bars in the bathroom, the end of the faucet handle kept falling off, the bath fan won't work without the heater so it gets really hot in there, lights were burned out (over the stove top, over the upstairs bar area, and the outside stairs); the vinyl slat blinds are hard to operate and the slats kept falling out; the top panel of one fell on my head when I was trying to open it. There were no large knives to chop with, no salt (I don't expect much at a rental, but there is usually salt and pepper), no instructions for operating TV's, recycling, garbage. A coffee grinder would be nice. There were also no sheets supplied for one of the Murphy beds. The house has a wierd layout. The best view of the beach is upstairs which is also where the two Murphy beds are. So, you always feel like you're in someones bedroom if your up there hanging out. The kids pretty much used this area, and the adults stayed in the kitchen. The downstairs where the kitchen is feels cramped and dark with only two corner windows in the living area with room for one chair to view the beach. The kitchen eating area has a view from the sliding glass door, but it is cramped. The listing says it has cable, but we were unable to get any main TV channels. Finally I called to ask for help and they sent a guy who was very nice, but said there was no cable. You can stream if you have the aps I guess. But there were no instructions to help us figure it out. There was only one garbage bag under the sink and quarters for one load of wash and dryer (we were there with 8 people for 5 nights). So bring your extra quarters All in All, for the price it's OK, close to the beach, and it was very convenient to other members of our family in other houses. But I wouldn't stay there again.
