Welcome to our 19th century home "La Quieze" located on the outskirts of Le Tourneur - a peaceful village centered around a 10th century Norman church. This area of Normandy is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, famous Calvados brandy and apple cider and a wide range of traditional dairy and meat products. It is dominated by dairy farms and rich pastureland dotted with classic stone houses and quaint villages. The spacious light-filled house transports you back to a time of 19th century luxury. It is a most welcoming house that affords an easy relaxed lifestyle with all modern amenities. The house is non-smoking and is pet-friendly upon negotiation.

Built in 1850 this beautiful property boasts 14 acres of meadows with meandering paths and unobstructed views of the Normandy countryside, constant birdsong and church bells - the perfect escape from the city. . Enjoy lazy saunters with a glass of wine in hand or take children on adventurous discovery walks. Take a picnic under the century old oak tree next to the lake and enjoy the local breads, cheeses and meat products. Beautiful formal gardens surround the house featuring many impressive century old trees, sweeping lawns, flowering shrubs, a walled vegetable garden, an apple orchard and three interesting barns. A large outdoor dining and barbecue area can seat up to 10 and has unrestricted views of the garden, adjoining apple orchard and pristine farmland beyond. There is a wide variety of activities available locally - marked walking and cycling trails, Souleurve Viaduct luge, zip wire, bungee and tree-top trail , horseriding, golf. Many world-class historic places of interest are just an hour or so away for - Bayeux Tapestry, Mt San Michel, WWII Landing Beaches, Caen Memorial Museum, Festyland, Villedieu-les-Poeles bell foundry and antiques.
