Overall good experience - dated decor but clean; fire pit was awesome and plenty of room for family of 8. Very convenient to quaint town of Bolton and shopping and 20 minutes to village of Lake George.

Perfect for ski time and mountain retreat

Our hosts were wonderful. Perfect location and accommodation for a winter get away. We enjoyed the local taverns, new brewery and the close by ski destination of Gore Mtn.

Beautiful spot!

This is a great house conveniently located close to Bolton Landing. It's quiet and the interior is spacious. More than enough room for 10 people. We would would stay there again. The property owner was also great at communicating; promptly responded to queries.

Amazing Stay-Exactly as Advertised!

Our group loved our stay at this property. Everything was clean and organized, the kitchen is stocked with anything we needed, and the beds were comfy! The proximity to Bolton restaurants was great, what an adorable town. Lake George was about 20 mins away and and east drive. The requirements for check out were also very reasonable, I've stayed at places before where the list is two pages long. The hosts were on time with all the check in info and easy to communicate with. We would return in a heartbeat!

FANTASTIC BOLTON LANDING PROPERTY!

Our family spent a 3 night stay at this Bolton Landing property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location worked well for our weekend plans at Lake George and the house accommodated our group perfectly. We had plenty of beds and the living space was very comfortable. The resource book that the owners provided was a helpful resource for any information we needed. All the details for renting the property were provided in a timely manner and I received quick answers to my questions. We highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting this beautiful part of upstate NY!

Perfect New Years Getaway

This was our first time to Bolton Landing and Lake George - the property and location was perfect for our family. I'm a bit of a neat freak and appreciated the cleanliness of the home. There was plenty of room for seven adults to spread out and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Spending time with my grown kids was important, so we made good use of the eating spaces and family room. Roy was exceptionally responsive to any questions and really went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our trip. We'll be back for sure. Thank you, Roy!

Perfect Place for a Relaxing Family Getaway

My extended family (six adults, one teenager, one child) spent four nights at Roy and Stacy’s amazing property and can’t say enough good things about the home, location, and experience. The property is peaceful and serene - away from the busier tourist areas, but still a conveniently short drive to the stores and restaurants in Bolton Landing and less than 20 minutes to Lake George Village. The home is exactly as advertised and feels larger than it appears in the photos. The temperature controls in the house are fantastic and kept us cool despite 90 degree heat most days. The kitchen has all the necessary pots, pans, and tools, and it offers plenty of space to cook together. The deck is perfect for drinking morning coffee or tea and enjoying the sounds of nature, and for star-gazing at night. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and a visit from a very friendly neighborhood dog one evening! It was hard for my family to leave this tranquil oasis. We hope to return soon!

Amazing Family Vacation

Lovely home in the woods with large deck, grill & firepit, approx 2 miles from Downtown Bolton Landing. There were 9 adults in our party, Nana, 3 sisters & niece / nephews with 3 vehicles. Plenty of room to park and room for all of us inside. We had an amazing week!

Wonderful Winter Get Away

The house was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The house was a few minutes from Bolton Landing. The house is set back from the road and sits in the middle of tall pine trees. It was beautiful! Very prettying setting!

Place was great and very clean! Matched the description perfectly! Big snow storm night before we arrive and the driveway and entry was plowed and shoveled! Upstairs bedroom was perfect for family.

Tucked in the woods, but close to town

The house was tucked away in the woods, but was a quick drive to Bolton Landing. There were 6 adults in our group. The house met our needs with ample space including ample parking. The kitchen had plenty of plates, utensils, pots, pans, etc. for us to cook breakfast and dinner. There is a propane grill which we used for dinner and then enjoyed a relaxing evening around the firepit. Roy and Stacy provided a very informative Welcome Book with all the instructions and great suggestions of things to do, restaurants, emergency facilities, etc. The house was clean with towels and linens for all. The two rooms on the first level have twin beds and are the smaller bedrooms. The rooms upstairs are plenty big and the beds are comfortable. There is a full bath on the first floor and the second floor. The kitchen is open to the dining table which is really nice when preparing dinner and being able to talk with everyone. We had a puzzle in progress on the table and had appetizers on the peninsula counter which worked out perfectly. There is a wrap around porch with a patio table, which you would probably use more in the summer. Roy was very responsive with our questions and helpful with suggestions about where to purchase firewood and other food items. Only wish is more side tables in the bedrooms to place your phone, book, glasses, etc. But certainly this was not a deal breaker. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the home had everything we needed. Thank you Roy!

Great getaway

The house was as advertised. There were 4 adults and 6 kids in our party and everyone had a great stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all cooking tools we needed. Location is very quiet but also close enough to town for a quick night out. I will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Bolton landing get away

Close to Golf, close to Bolton Landing, close to the lake. House was clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and the fire pit was awesome. Highly recommend this property.

All the comforts of home

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house and property was very clean and accommodating. The living areas and bedrooms were spacious, and the outdoor deck was perfect. The drive to Bolton landing is easy and less than 5 minutes. Roy is an excellent host and I appreciated how quickly he returned any messages. Looking forward to staying here again next year!

this is a great spot in a quiet part of bolton but only a very short drive to town and the lake. great outdoor firepit and grill. we had a unforeseeable issue that was resolved immediately by the owner...exactly the kind of service you want to know is available if the need arises. id highly recommend it and will be back

Experience

The homeowner was 30 minutes late sending me the code to enter the home. The homeowner situated the gas grill against the kitchen window. The logical inference I’ve come to is the excessive heat in such close proximity to the window cracked the glass. Also, we emptied the home of all our belongings before 1100 am. At approximately 1115 a rude cleaning person arrived and needed to be reminded that the home was empty, clean, available to them and we were delayed by 30 minutes in gaining access to the home upon arrival. The homeowner now advised that we broke the window and intends to charge me approximately $450 dollars.Not true. My lawyer will will handle this situation moving forward. Thank you

I generally do not respond to reviews but I’ve also never dealt with a renter like this in all my years of renting. I held back from reviewing him as a renter because that’s not my persona and I was trying to work with him without getting to this point. Look at all my reviews. They are all 5 star reviews and every other renter who has ever stayed here has been very happy and then there is this ridiculous review that sticks out like a sore thumb. He and his family left our house in a condition you would think animals stayed there. Sand all over the house, stains in the carpet and chairs and hundreds of bunch of balloons all over the property. I had to pay my cleaning service extra which I’ve never had to do before. There was a crack in the window that was not there before they came. I informed them and said I had to hold their security deposit. Never said anything about charging $450. He knows they cracked the window but claims I left the bbq grill by the house which it has never been the entire time I owned the house. Even if the grill was where he says it was that would mean it was placed next to a house and under a roof where only a fool would grill under and well sure enough they grilled there. Because I could not technically prove who placed the grill there (whether it was them or renter right before) I gave his full security deposit back and he was charged nothing and I personally had to eat the cost. He called and asked if they could check out later. I said absolutely not as we had another renter coming and the cleaning service had to clean the house. Apparently this family decided to disregard that and stay after checkout and started yelling at my cleaning service when they came at checkout. This family should never be allowed to rent again. If they stayed at a hotel they would have been kicked out and charged fees.

Lovely quiet setting

Great for a small group. We were a group of 6 ages 15-60. Comfortable seating in living room and dining room table for 6. Has beds for more but seating a little limited unless visiting in summer and then you have use of deck. Fireplace was lovely. Would love to come back in summer. Lovely town and people were very friendly. I would recommended!
