I generally do not respond to reviews but I’ve also never dealt with a renter like this in all my years of renting. I held back from reviewing him as a renter because that’s not my persona and I was trying to work with him without getting to this point. Look at all my reviews. They are all 5 star reviews and every other renter who has ever stayed here has been very happy and then there is this ridiculous review that sticks out like a sore thumb. He and his family left our house in a condition you would think animals stayed there. Sand all over the house, stains in the carpet and chairs and hundreds of bunch of balloons all over the property. I had to pay my cleaning service extra which I’ve never had to do before. There was a crack in the window that was not there before they came. I informed them and said I had to hold their security deposit. Never said anything about charging $450. He knows they cracked the window but claims I left the bbq grill by the house which it has never been the entire time I owned the house. Even if the grill was where he says it was that would mean it was placed next to a house and under a roof where only a fool would grill under and well sure enough they grilled there. Because I could not technically prove who placed the grill there (whether it was them or renter right before) I gave his full security deposit back and he was charged nothing and I personally had to eat the cost. He called and asked if they could check out later. I said absolutely not as we had another renter coming and the cleaning service had to clean the house. Apparently this family decided to disregard that and stay after checkout and started yelling at my cleaning service when they came at checkout. This family should never be allowed to rent again. If they stayed at a hotel they would have been kicked out and charged fees.
