Made reservation and paid through Expedia. Flew to Florida and on the way to check in we called and were told that we did not have a reservation, someone was in the unit and would be there all week. We are seniors and my husband is disabled. Needless to say TOTAL FRUSTRATION. The contact person at unit was not helpful as he said he never received an email from Expedia. I totally understand he didn't know how to help us. but is was very frustrating. After calling expedia/VRBO and was told after several calls and much time on the phone we were told we would have a refund in 7-10 days. WHAT!! How can this happen? This is not acceptable. There should be check and balance systems in place. I got verification for reservation and payment, That should not have happened until the owner of unit confirmed.
