Re-set, retreat, revive in this beautifully designed little Vermont house.
The Willow House will surprise and delight. At just 600 square feet it comfortably hosts up to 4 people. This is the perfect spot whether you are visiting Dartmouth College, taking baking courses at King Arthur Flour or just exploring Vermont. Set on the edge of its own little pond and spring beside a pasture, you can enjoy the outdoors from the comforts of a screen porch or soak up some sun on the southside porch. You'll find a gas grill on the patio along with a firepit and comfortable dining table and chairs. Hike our trails or drive a few minutes to explore many more. Pickleball? Yes. Just ask to confirm availability and we'll supply the racquets and balls. Just feel like loafing? Snooze in the hammock beside the pond and the willow trees, enjoy the inspired landscaping and leave the world behind. Don't forget the outdoor shower off the screen porch. It's a wonderful way to recharge during the warmer months.
Inside you'll find a private bedroom at one end of the house with its own heating and air-conditioning. Laundry soap is provided for the washing machine, the bathroom is supplied with soaps, shampoo and conditioner and towels, and the little pantry has some of the basics stocked. Coffee (ground and pods) is provided along with a French press and Keurig. The kitchen is completely provisioned for 4 people. The living room can be closed with a sliding barn door for privacy if the pull-out queen bed is desired. A big, flat screen smart TV, and an excellent little library featuring books on art / design and travel will keep you entertained if the weather isn't cooperating.
Just 15 minutes to the Dartmouth green, ten to downtown Norwich or Sharon, guests always appreciate the location for being so near to, and yet feeling far from, the college town bustle.
