Host was amazing - they communicated immediately to all inquiries. House was extremely clean and tidy. Had everything you needed. I would stay here again. Cute place and very easy to find. Best BBQ place down the road is a must try. lol.

The house is a small cottage right on the Withalacoochie Bike trail as advertised. It was easy to get anywhere pretty quickly. The bed was comfortable. There were some issues. First there are ants. So many ants. We had to throw away a bag of nuts because the ants just infested them over night. From then on we kept everything in the fridge. Second there was only a sheet and the bedspread on the bed. No blankets at all. And thirdly there are no baking dishes or pans for like making a cake or a casserole. And lastly we left ice trays after we bought them as the fridge does not make ice nor water as it is not hooked up for water. They only had this puny little ice tray. So we bought some and left it for the next visitors. These are things that are easily remedied and would not deter us from staying here again. Very comfortable and clean. And the neighbors in the neighborhood are very nice and very quiet.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re happy you found the cottage clean, comfortable, and peaceful. For clarification, extra sheets are stored in the closet, and an additional comforter was available in the other bedroom. Since it was summer, we did not place heavy blankets on every bed, but we would have gladly provided one if you had contacted us. The refrigerator’s ice maker is not connected, so we provide ice trays, and We appreciate the gesture of leaving an opened bag of ice; however, for hygiene reasons, we cannot leave opened items for the next guests. Because the home is in a rural area and it is ant season, ant spray is kept under the kitchen sink. If we had been notified during your stay, we would have addressed the ants immediately. We also appreciate your suggestion about the baking pans and will add more for future guests.

When we found this home, it had been abandoned for long time but we believed it could become something beautiful again. Restoring it became a labor of love and a reminder that every place deserves a second chance.
We call this inspiration “Once Upon a Time”—a story of transforming something forgotten into a warm, welcoming home where guests can create their own memories. We also love the peaceful surroundings, nearby nature, trails, springs.
