About Stacey Johnson
I'm a house junkie still in rehabilitation........honestly just love old houses, new houses, house ideas, house design and construction. Past 10 years I have been involved in every facet of real estate and renovation, and love more than anything the transformation of homes and spaces. In every house there's a beautiful home wanting to emerge! This in combination with hospitality is a perfect fit for me......the creation of an experience! I hope you 'feel'- cozy, warm, welcome, and at peace when you stay at one of my vacation rentals.

What makes this Condo unique
The location of this unit is so ideal. It allows one to ditch the car and just walk to the best of St. Paul - Grand Ave and it's fun shops, restaurants, and bars. Or head down Summit Ave and gawk at hundreds of some of the most amazing architectural homes in the US. Also right in the neighborhood is the Cathedral of St. Paul; something simply astonishing to see. Just a bit further but still walkable is the Capitol, another amazing architectural feat. For a more livelier walk you can head downtown and take in more restaurants, theatres, and possibly a concert at the Excel Center. It truly is the epicenter of fun!

Really outstanding accomodations
A very comfortable place to stay. Quiet, clean, had everything we needed. Close to where we needed to be. I would definitely stay here again if given the chance.
Quiet retreat easily accessible to the Metro area
This is an older home with all modern amenities and updates. The neighborhood is quiet and full af active dog walkers, joggers and bicyclists. The property is amazingly accessible to the whole Metro area despite being in almost private area. The kitchen is stocked with enough equipment and dishes to feed a large group. There was plenty of storage area and the rooms were welcoming.
The bed was very comfortable, but for this short-legged gal a small step stool would have been welcome. Oops maybe it was there I didn't think to look under the bed. An iron would be great to freshen up those wrinkles you find after you unpack - otherwise I was certainly not wanting for anything in this beautiful friendly home..Thanks for your thoughtfulness in preparing for the visitor,
We've stayed at this property several times and enjoyed the apartment and its location. The owner is especially accommodating. Even in January, it's a warm spot to return to. Great restaurants in the area and convenient to downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. Thanks for a delightful visit.
Grand Hill St. Paul
We stayed for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays. The apartment was even decorated with a Christmas tree, live ponsietta and other very nice decorations. Nicely done! Everything is very tastefully done and the apartment is very comfortable in a wonderful location between Summit and Grand. It was terribly cold so we we couldn’t take advantage of all the walking we normally would do. There were just a few kinks....electricity off for a short while, modem had to be reset once and for a couple of days there was work going on in the basement that was noisy. Fireplace is a real fireplace but is only an electric that gives off no heat. There were a couple of space heaters in the closet that made it all very warm and cozy, even when the temperature was -15 F. Definitely would stay again.
Great location, lovely apartment, comfortable and clean.
Great location between Summit and Grand Avenues; super easy to jump onto the highway to get anywhere else in the Twin Cities! Walking distance to restaurants and shops- and a Whole Foods 5 min drive away.
Surrounded by all the beautiful houses and on the avenues, and close to the Governor’s Mansion!
Very comfortable and cute apartment- nice decor, fully stocked kitchen if you want to cook, lots of space to relax, and comfortable bed.
Stacy was very responsive to our needs/questions, and made our stay very easy. Thanks, and we’ll be back!
Another wonderful stay at the house on the hill!
This was my third time at what I call my "house on the hill". It is all it says it is....comfort, space and oh, so charming. This time I did some entertaining. The kitchen is great to prepare a meal and plenty of room at the dining table as well. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans and serving pieces. Did go to some new restaurants too. Really enjoyed Sunrise Cafe, a small cafe featuring Italian cusine, and delicious porketta sandwiches that you can eat there or take home. Went to Salut American which had very good food and lovely area to eat outside on a lovely summer day. My review wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention the owner, Stacey. She is a perfect hostess and always helpful. I will be back!
The Summit Hill area is one of the nation's premier collections/concentration of turn of the century mansions and architecture. Less than one block away on Summit Ave is F. Scott Fitzgerald's brownstone he lived in during several of his writing years. James J. Hill mansion is a must see and is walking distance from VRBO unit. Over 14,000 sqft. of splendid finishes and design. Nina's coffee house is a nice walk for a cup of local coffee and people watching; it is in another magnificent building that won't disappoint.
