About this property

River House with Studio

Come enjoy this private spot by the river. Do a little kayaking, enjoy the private beach, soak in the hot tub, play piano. Have some fun with cornhole or badminton. The home has 3 queen beds, and a sofa bed, and two bathrooms. We converted my husband's former architecture office. a separate building next to the main house, into a fourth bedroom and sitting room with a full bath. The bathrooms are fully stocked with soaps, shampoo, conditioner, a hair dryer and linens. Each building has a cozy living room with a fireplace. Each living room has couches that sleep one. There are quiet office areas in two of the bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with most anything a cook could want. Each room has large windows looking out at my beautiful garden and the river. We have a 220 v. car charger available to you at no cost. Enjoy excellent comfort year-round with heating and air conditioning. We look forward to welcoming you to our place.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The property and garden are beautiful and the river access is close enough we could walk down to it several times a day. We would definitely like to stay again.

The place is gorgeous! The photos really do not do it justice, it is well equipped with items for cooking and hanging out. We had a wonderful time, we just had a little hiccup with the booking. Nancy was a great host, I just recommended communicating with her in advance about your upcoming stay.

Property was everything that we expected it to be. When you’re on the backside of the property you feel like you’re right in the middle of nature. Trees, birds, fish, a coyote, cows. The kids had a blast and said they would come back again. Everyone really enjoyed their stay. I think the only complaint was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t working, but I was fine with that less tablets, less doom scrolling. If You’re looking for a spot to disconnect and enjoy your family. I would say this is a spot. They have plenty of games, books, a piano. The TV never got turned on. We used the kayaks, made s’mores, barbecued, sat in the hot tub, played games. You’re not too far away from stores. Overall 10/10

I'm a retired school teacher and principal. My husband, an architect, and I, lived in River House for 40 years and remodeled it extensively. Then we built another home with a living roof on the lot next door. We have really enjoyed meeting all the good people who have rented our old home

Why they chose this property

It's beautiful and private. We raised our kids here, swimming and kayaking.

What makes this property unique

With a private beach and a hot tub and many games to play, this is a great place for families to enjoy time together. You are surrounded by nature. We often see otter in the river. The great blue heron comes by daily.
