This quiet retreat features abundant natural light, a cozy woodstove, and a balcony with mountain views and stars at night to enjoy in every season. On arrival, you’ll appreciate the gear closet and generous hallway space for stowing sports equipment and outerwear. The entry level includes a Queen bedroom, a full bathroom, laundry room, and a second bedroom/game room with 5 Twin bunks (upper bunks may be challenging for younger children).
Upstairs, the open-concept living area feels like a treehouse, with vaulted ceilings and large windows framing the forest and stunning mountain surroundings. The living room comfortably seats 4 adults while the dining area accommodates 6 at the table and 2 additional at the kitchen countertop. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook at home, and the open layout keeps the group connected. This level also features a King bedroom and a second full bathroom.
Alpine Meadows is a year-round playground for outdoor enthusiasts. Lake Tahoe offers public beaches, piers, lakeside trails, and boat and kayak rentals. Explore miles of paved bike paths or the impressive network of mountain bike trails, join a guided horseback ride from the Alpine Meadows stables, float the Truckee River, or enjoy summer farmers markets and free live music offered at several nearby locales. In winter, you’re close to multiple ski resorts, plus cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and guided snowmobile tours. Located between Tahoe City and Truckee, you’re also a short drive to local shops and excellent dining.
