She will also be available for any questions or issues throughout your stay.
This unique home is surrounded by green open space, lush tropical foliage with blue ocean views and swaying palms beyond. With walls of glass sliding doors and jalousie windows, the outdoors come indoors. The large private Tropical lagoon pool with cascading lava rock waterfall is long enough to swim laps or just relax on the pool steps or shallow bench and enjoy the beauty.
The home is very bright and cheery and faces southwest toward the ocean and sunsets. The position of the home allows for the tropical gentle trade winds to breeze through the upper and lower floors of the home, maximizing circulation and cooling. Combined with ceiling fans in every room, the house rarely gets warm enough to want for air conditioning. The three bedroom suite areas are air conditioned, however, if the need arises.
This Is A Non-smoking Property in a private neighborhood with homeowner association guidelines to guarantee you a peaceful and exclusive vacation. This also means absolutely no hosting of events, large parties or excessive noise. Please be aware that while the yard is fenced in, there is no fence immediately surrounding the swimming pool. The pool is visible from most living areas, however could still pose a danger to very young children.

About John Ferrante
Aloha, my name is John and I am the proud owner of this beautiful new home. Right now, most of the reviews are from the "old home" but I encourage you to read previous guests to get a good idea of the quality of vacation rental I try to provide. I look forward working with you directly to insure a great vacation experience on Kauai and at Kiahuna Golf Village.
John Ferrante purchased this House in 2013
Why John Ferrante chose Poipu
Kiahuna Golf Village is considered to be one of the most beautiful neighborhoods on the South shore of Kauai. The mature tropical landscaping, estate sized parcels, and privacy between homes lends itself to a unique vacation for you and your family in a truly Hawaiian paradise environment. This particular home is on one of the largest lots in Kiahuna Golf Village, with an estate sized presence. All the rooms face large green belt open space surrounded by plumeria and palm trees with the ever-blue Hawaiian ocean in the distance. You will spend most of your time outdoors on the spacious lanais stepping in and out of the large tropical pool swimming past the lava rock waterfall. You will love this property.
What makes this House unique
Kiahuna Golf Village is in the center of the Kiahuna golf course just 3/4 mile from the ocean and from the best restaurants and beaches of Poipu. We think the sunny south shore of Kauai is the optimum location to base your Kauai vacation with central and easy access to Lihue, the West and the North Shore.

Best vacation ever!!!
Our family has stayed at a number of VRBO properties over the years and we just experienced our very favorite one! This gorgeous and gracious home looks exactly like the photos and has such a warm and homey feel that we truly wanted to stay longer and we are already planning a return trip . The beautiful furnishings were obviously chosen with care, the kitchen is not only lovely but filled with everything needed and is a joy to cook in. The outdoor spaces, stunning ocean views and charmingly tropical pool made for many, many hours of outdoor fun . The house is in a lovely , quiet neighborhood and is close enough to walk to the beach or to a cute little nearby shopping center- an easy 20 minute walk. The owners were informative, welcoming and attentive. Mahalo , John and Ed for sharing your exquisite island sanctuary with us ! We are counting the days until we can return.
Amazing home in paradise
My family and i just got back from this amazing piece of paradise. The house was comfortable and provided everything we needed for our three week stay. We had plenty of beach towels, coolers, beach chairs and umbrellas. We cooked in the updated kitchen and found it had everything we needed. The outdoor lanai and pool provided great spaces to relax and enjoy the Hawaiian breeze and views. The location of the house made it easy to explore the rest of the island and was also close enough to restaurants, beaches, and shopping. Thank you so much John and Ed for your hospitality, and sharing your Hawaiian home.
Five Star Amazing Hawaii Experience!!!!!
Upon arrival at this home we were so excited that this was going to be our vacation home for the next week. We joked that we had to pinch ourselves because we had no idea that it was going to be this special. The house is brand new and feels like you are at a luxury hawaian resort. The back yard is really large and looks over a golf course to palm trees and ocean. The views were so beautiful from everywhere. The pool is a piece of Hawaiian art itself, surrounded by tropical flowers and the sound of the waterfall was so soothing. The kitchen is phenomenal with the most beautiful countertops and appliances. We made coffee and breakfast and cooked a few meals. Everything that is supplied was nice quality and made it easy. We watched a couple of DVD’s (Thanks John for the DVD library!) and the giant screen TV and speakers were a big hit. Hawaiian music CD’s too! The bedrooms are all separate and private with the most beautiful tropical furniture. We all remarked about how great we slept on the mattresses! The bathrooms had wonderful tile and sinks and reminded us of a hotel spa experience. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood of similar homes that is quiet and away from all the tourism, but just a couple minutes from the beaches and restaurants. The south shore was perfect for all our daily excursions. Thanks John and Ed for sharing your Hawaiian paradise with us!
Our paradise getaway made even more perfect.
We loved our recent stay at this beautiful Poipu area home and we were so excited to see all the upgrades and improvements the owner mentioned when we made reservations. Everything was all shiny and new. Modern black trimmed windows perfectly frame photogenic views of pool, golf course, and the blue sky and water beyond. And the newly constructed outdoor dining area is a great addition to the many dining choices this spacious home has. The four of us (two couples) took about half our meals at the house and the other half at our favorite nearby restaurants like Lava Lava, Beach House, and Tidepools. It was the perfect situation to share the costs of the rental, food, and transportation. The newly remodeled kitchen is bright and modern, with tons of storage so everyone can have a shelf of their own. We visit Kauai as often as possible, but it was the first time for our friends and staying in the bottom center of the island made it so easy to show them all our favorite places without spending all day on the road. They were particularly taken by nearby Allerton Gardens (we did the sunset tour as always) and, of course, by the spectacular views at Waimea Canyon, which is less than an hour away. Even though we came this time in the heart of the rainy season, it was mostly sunny every day and we awoke twice to big beautiful rainbows. Kauai will always be our favorite island and now we can’t imagine staying anywhere else but this perfect home away from home when next we visit—with or without friends.
Fabulous updated beautiful home in a peaceful setting with a lovely view!
Our family had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home to celebrate the holidays! It has recently been updated and everything is absolutely lovely! The kitchen appliances are all top notch SS, beautiful countertops, fully stocked, and was easy for all of us to work in. It has beautiful Island style furnishings, fun and unique sinks in all 3 bathrooms, and the artwork is stunning! The tradewinds keep the home comfortable, It has a lot of windows and sliding glass doors to accommodate the air flow, all with screens. We spent most of our time sitting outside on the covered patio. The pictures of the view do not do it justice! You have to see it to fully appreciate it! Beautiful sunsets! Plenty of beach towels, coolers, beach chairs and boogie boards. A fabulous private outdoor shower to rinse off the sand when we got back to our Hawaiian home! The pool has a peaceful water feature and is solar heated. There is a bench built in it that I loved to sit on and relax to the peaceful setting, sip some champagne and watch the sunset. Lea met us at the house to show us around and was very responsive to any questions we had. John contacted me last summer to let me know that they were updating the house so it wouldn't look like the pictures that were posted at the time that we rented it. My goodness, they have done an amazing job! Fabulous taste! I would love to stay in their lovely home again. They were nice enough to allow us to stay there when it wasn't quite finished. It's fabulous now! I can't wait to see it when it is completed! This beautiful home is located close to restaurants, shopping and beaches. But it is in a quiet residential neighborhood on a lovely golf course surrounded by lovely homes. It is very private, you don't see your neighbors, just the beautiful view! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with our family! Mahalo!
You get what you pay for is not always the case
Typically when we travel we stay at hotels, but this was my 76 year old Mother in laws first time travailing out of the lower 48 and we wanted it to be special. We decided to spend the extra $$ and rent a home near the ocean. In retrospect, we should have save the money and stayed at a five star hotel.
The drive to the location was beautiful and the neighborhood was exactly what we had hoped for, we were sure at this point that we had made the right decision. And then we entered the home. As we opened the door we were greeted with a burst of very hot air that reeked of pesticides, so much that my wife could not stop choking. I entered the home, ( as my family waited outside )and started to try to open all the windows to let fresh air in. At least half of the windows were in such disrepair that you either couldn't open them our you were afraid of breaking them if you tried. After I aired the home out as much as we could I decided to look for the thermostat so that I could start cooling down the home, (which felt like a sauna at this point) only to find out that this home had no HVAC system, a detail left out when renting. Do to the lack of air conditioning I decided to open all the sliding doors as well, BIG mistake! The garbage from the previous renter was never hauled away and sat just a few feet outside the kitchen door, so now we were dealing with the overwhelming stench of rotting garbage and pesticides. The home was dated and not maintained very well. The home lacked the basic essentials needed such as towels and linens for everyone. We even ran out of toilet paper our first day of our 8 day stay. This home was advertised as having a washer and dryer , so we packed accordingly. On the second day we tried to do laundry but we discovered that the dryer was broken, I called the number that was left for house keeping and she informed me that the owner was made aware of the broken dryer after the last stay and that it should have been fixed. I then called the owner who acted as if this was the first he had heard of it. The dryer was fixed, but unfortunately it was 7 days later as we were literally walking out the door headed back home. We ended up having to purchase new clothes for all of us. To be fair to the owner he did offer to pay for any laundromat cost, but we had no desire to spend our limited time on the island at a laundromat. This was our first time using VRBO and will be our last time. I have more to say but I'm out of charecters.
I can't even begin to think of a response to this review. First, we never heard from them during their entire stay with any concerns or complaints. We call every guest the second day to make sure all is going well, and these guests were fine. If you read our other reviews, they are all 5 stars and rave about the house, service, amenities and value. This guest wanted money back and threatened a bad review if we didn't refund them for their stay. Perhaps they expected the Hyatt Regency and were disappointed.
You are just minutes from two of Kauai’s best beaches, 'Shipwreck Beach' and the World famous 'Poipu Beach'. Poipu Beach has been voted 'Best Beach' in America by the Travel Channel and for good reason with so much to offer. Your children will love the calm waters, where they can explore the underwater world with a mask and snorkel. The small waves are good for beginning boogie borders but there’s a surfing area for those experienced surfers as well. Other frequent visitors to this beach are the beloved Hawaiian Monk Seals who come here to rest in the sun just like we do! The beach park has restrooms, showers, picnic tables and pavilions as well as a large lawn area with shade trees. It is also one of the very few beaches on the island with lifeguards. Other Activities: shopping, restaurants, kayaking, boating, shelling, wildlife viewing.
A drive to the north shore is approximately 1 hour, airport 20 minutes, and Lihue- the business and cultural shopping center of the island, 20 minutes.
