The Plumeria is a beautiful garden level 2 bedroom apartment just one block from the magnificent two-mile crescent beach at world-renowned Hanalei Bay.

The furnishings, amenities, and setting make it a wonderful vacation home from which to enjoy the wonders of Kauai's North Shore.

Within a ten-minute drive you will find numerous beautiful beaches and a huge variety of activities to keep you busy. A two-minute walk from the house is magnificent Hanalei Bay and its famous, white-sand beach. A short stroll will bring you to quaint, historic, downtown Hanalei, with its wonderful array of restaurants, shops, and galleries.

The apartment is on the garden level of a larger home, Maluhia Hanalei, VRBO listing 10087. At the end of a cul-de-sac, set back off the road, and down a long driveway on a wonderfully landscaped quarter acre adjacent to a conservation area it is extremely private and quiet. The setting is lush, green, very secluded, and yet only a block to the beach and a five-minute walk into town. An ideal location.

The Plumeria Suite will accommodate up to 4 guests. . It has two bedrooms with a king bed and a queen bed, living room, dining area, full kitchen, and full bath for up to 4 guests. It has a private lanai opening onto the gardens in the back, and an outdoor shower in addition to the full bath inside.

The house is beautifully decorated and fully equipped. Guests will enjoy the wonderful outdoor shower, the myriad birds in the trees, the wonderful sunrises and sunsets, the lush foliage and flowers everywhere, and the complete privacy and seclusion.

There is also an on-site property manager/caretaker to taker care of anything issues that might arise.

Great Location

This unit has a wonderful location between the beach and downtown - both well within walking distance. There were four of us and we fit even though it is on the smaller side. Very clean and nestled in the jungle.

Quiet and Convenient

We really enjoyed staying in this home. It is in walking distance to the beach and restaurants yet tucked away in a quiet cul de sac. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for my family of four. The outdoor shower was a plus along with the very well stocked beach supply closet. The home had everything we needed during our stay. We would love to visit again.

Secluded but Close to Beach and Food

Our stay was perfect. Our family (including a 12 year old and 5 year old) were very happy with this property. Only two blocks away from the beach, it was just what I wanted. Although it rained a lot, we got two phenomenal days at Hanalei Beach using the abundance of beach gear provided for us. Not only was there boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, and frisbees, there were many wagons to cart your stuff to the beach.The quiet and secluded grounds were great for playing in the backyard or enjoying a peaceful breakfast. Lots of stuff in the fridge and non-perishables like cooking oil in the kitchen. We didn't really need the AC, but they had it in both bedrooms and the living room/kitchen. It's a 10 minute walk to Hanalei's main drag, which is very convenient for food. We got slices at the pizza shop twice. Note that the restaurants all close around 8 most nights, which can feel early to a jetlagged traveler. Slices run out around 7p. You can also find a small market, boutiques, souvenir shops, and a kayak rentals. I got to meet our host and even got some bananas they recently harvested! Excellent place and great hospitality.

Centipede bite on face while in bed had us vacating early

Vacation was ruined when my husband was bitten on face in the middle of the night by a centipede at this property. It was disgusting to watch the critter crawling on bed afterwards, as my husbands lip swelled and pain mounted. We saught medical care , woke our kids up and left immediately (going back to pack up in the morning). We could not sleep well at all on the island as this event was so traumatic and worried about bugs at night-- i felt other potential renters should know of this centipede issue as i dont wish this experience on anyone. "Sleeps 6" as advertised also maybe a stretch--there was no sofa bed...just the 2 beds as advertised and one long couch. Also noticed many ants on counter in kitchen.

Perfect accomodations!

Perfect accommodations for our adult kids to stay in. We also rented the 3br/2ba upstairs unit from this one with another family and enjoyed meals, and socializing together on one big property. Beautiful location, and beach is 2 minutes away.

Feels Like Home & Awesome Location !

We stayed downstairs in the two bedroom for approximately a week and had a fabulous time! Location is amazing, short walks to beach and town. Well stocked in the way you would want to stock your own beach house with everything from bathroom essentials (we learned to have an appreciation for this after staying at a different property that seem to ration soap like it was going out of style and only had toilet paper that is barely good enough for a public bathroom at a remote campground) to beach toys to towels to cookware. The stove/oven is on the back porch but it was fun to cook outside just like it was fun to use the outdoor shower after a beach day. Jason was a MORE THAN FABULOUS host and we felt like residents not tourists which is the best part of staying in a neighborhood rather than a resort. Only tip is to bring earplugs because the floor creaks a bit when upstairs residents walk around and there are roosters around the entire island which are charming but they are very, very early risers (4am). We absolutely loved this place and we were sad to say goodbye to the house, Jason, and his lovely wife. We felt like neighbors not strangers and loved our stay. Thank you so much. Would go back in a heartbeat! Mahalo!

Amazing property and location!

This cute hale was enough space for the 3 of us. My husband loved the outdoor shower and the lush tropical gardens! We had everything we needed. We wanted to stay somewhere close to Hanalei beach and town and this was perfect! We walked everywhere, it was awesome. The host and her son were very knowledgeable and helpful, we enjoyed talking to them. 😊This is a gem and we’ll be back! A Hui Hou!🤙

Amazing Rental!

Our stay at the Plumeria Suite was amazing. It’s such a cute little 2 bedroom unit, with a sprawling backyard filled with lush greenery and banana/avocado trees. Marney (owner) and Jason (on-site manager) were so helpful and accommodating. There were also beach items on site and a grill for cooking. Would strongly recommend for smaller parties.

A haven in a beautiful location

What a gem this property is! We enjoyed staying surrounded by the beautiful gardens and mountains, so close to beautiful beaches and the cutest town. We enjoyed having beach equipment and laundry on site for us to use, as well. Marney went over and above to work things out so we could have a nice visit, including fixing a booking problem (our fault not hers) and doing it in such a way as to not inconvenience us at all. She really made our stay special!

We stayed in Hanalei Palms for 8 days. It is in a wonderful neighborhood just 2 blocks from the beach and walking distance to the shopping and restaurants. Marnie and Beaux took great care of us. There is an outside BBQ as well as a large closet full of all the toys you will need for the beach.We went kayaking on the river that you can see from the back porch.

Fabulous Family Vacation!!

This was our big family trip we have been talking about & saving for the last couple of years. We spent 7 nights on Kauai. We were a group of 13 (10 adults ages 21 to 50 & 3 grands ages 4 months, 2 & 3-1/2) & we wanted a house close to the beach & big enough for sleeping arrangements & spending quality time together. This house was perfect for that. It truly is a 3 minute walk to the beach - a beautiful, sandy beach that was fun for all ages - & a 5 minute walk to the town of Hanalei. We rented the 3 bedroom main part of the house, “Hibiscus” (2nd floor) & the 2 bedroom apartment on the main level, “Plumeria”. The house & apartment were as described, clean, & well stocked with everything you could need. When at the house we spent most of our time in Hibiscus. There was plenty of room for us all in the open floor plan of the living/kitchen/dining area of the house. The wrap around deck gave us even more space. There were toys & books for the kids as well as books, games, & movies for everyone else. There were plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, some beach toys, & beach umbrellas as well as 2 wagons to get everything to & from the beach, with a little space for a kid or 2. The house is surrounded by tropical plants & sounds, with a small yard in the back. The driveway had plenty of room for the 3 cars we rented. When at the house it does not feel like you are in a neighborhood cul-d-sac, but in the tropics. The setting around the house reminded me of when we visited Costa Rica. The master bedroom did seem to stay a little cooler than the rest of the house, which my husband & I appreciated. The deck off the master was wonderful to sit on as well. I do recommend good earplugs for sleeping as there are chickens & roosters in the area, well actually all over the island. With windows open they can wake you up earlier than you may want to be. Marney was very helpful & great with communication. We had a red eye flight home & she allowed us to us Plumeria for that day. It was so appreciated! Beaux was very helpful as well. Would definitely rent this house again for a group & highly recommend it.

2BD lovely apt in the heart of Hanalei

This 2BD apt is amazing. The whole house indeed. I have stayed in the studio and also in the 2BD multiple times in the last few years. it is a beautiful place located in the center of Hanalei town, 2 min walk to the paradise beach of Hanalei. It is surrounded by lush all around, palm trees, lemon, avocado and banana trees. It is very well maintained, super clean and it feels like home far from home. It is a perfect ambiance for relaxing and rejuvenating. Thumbs up in all aspects and I will certainly continue to return whenever I can. Thanks Marney C for making our stay always so pleasant.

Amazing retreat!

My husband and I went to Hanalei for the first three nights of our trip to Kauai, and our only regret is that we didn't stay at Marney's place for the duration of our vacation!! We booked this place last minute and could not believe our luck! We also felt very fortunate that the entire house was empty and we know our experience, while still tranquil and peaceful, may have been a little bit different. Regardless, the house was in a quiet neighborhood and at the end of the cul-de-sac. It was only a block away from the Hanalei Pavilion which made it easy to run back to the house if we forgot anything once at the beach. The house had two bedrooms with ceiling fans, a private lanai, and an outdoor cooking stove. The outdoor shower was also located on the side of the lanai which made it so easy to clean off after coming home from the beach! The kitchen was equipped with some cooking amentieis which makes it convenient for those passing through. Additionally, the house was equipped with all the beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers that one could ask for! It made visiting Hanalei bay and the other beaches nearby a breeze! We cannot wait to head back to Hanalei and bring our entire family to rent out the two bedroom, as well as the rest of the house! Excellent property - great location - great to deal with

My wife and I sayed in Marnie's two-bedroom downstairs unit at Hanalei Bay, and had a great experience. The unit is in a great, quiet, and beautiful neighborhood, with only a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. The unit is in great shape - very well decorated with all the comforts we need to make our stay perfect. And the beds and pillows were very comfortable, something that we have not found in most other beachouses we've rented. The location is perfect - close to the beach, and only a 3 minute walk to the Hanalei town center. The walking made my wife and I feel less guilty about all the great food we ate in Hanalei each night. Marnie was a pleasure to deal with - everything worked out perfectly for us. We would definitely book here again when we return to Kauai!

Beautiful rental with very close beach access

My husband and I stayed in the Plumeria 2 bedroom downstairs unit in this house. We had a wonderful time, and the relaxing environment of Hanalei was infectious! You can easily walk to the beach (just a short stroll down the residential street to a very close beach access). Hanalei is a beautiful, relaxed, quirky town with cute shops and restaurants. I would come back in a heartbeat and stay in this rental. The only drawback was that there wasn't any air conditioning (which seemed pretty common here), but the fans in the house made it manageable. We also had a wetter-than-normal week of weather (which probably didn't help). Marney has everything you need to enjoy your vacation (towls, laundry/supplies, beach chairs, boogie boards (and many other ocean toys), full kitchen & utensils, bug spray/candels, clothes line, patio chairs, etc. We were there while the other units in the house were occupied (seemed to be another downstairs unit and one upstairs unit). We felt like we had plenty of privacy, and the other renters were respectful, and, for the most part, our paths didn't cross. If you are thinking of coming to Kauai, I would highly recommend staying in this rental in Hanalei. It is quite a drive to the south shore, so if you plan to do a lot of sight seeing, It may be wise to split your time between a rental in the north and one in the south so you don't feel like you're spending all of your time in the car.

Loved this place!

My husband and I were happily surprised when we arrived at the Plumeria Suite. The suite was perfect for the 2 of us, close to the beach and town, the bikes, comfortable bed, clean and the beach cart was so convenient. At first we were dreading anyone staying upstairs but we didn't even notice them. The caretakers of the property were very pleasant and kept the property up nicely. We are hopefully returning this Fall and my friends and I will be staying upstairs at the end of Oct.. So happy to have found this place. Thank you Marney!

Great location. Great Vacation Home.

We've stayed twice at the Plumeria Suite. The location is great because is close to the beach, close to town, and close to Pat's Taco Truck. The two bedroom apartment is comfortably appointed, very clean and has a very private feeling. The lanai is faces a lush tropical landscape. My wife took many photos of the grounds, and one of those is her desktop image. Being so close to Hanalei Bay is a real treat because you can swim with Puff the Magic Dragon. (You have to be there to truly experience it.) The kitchen is set up with all the necessary tools, and there's a brand new gas grill to cook outdoors. There are plenty of beach goodies that are available for guests to use, mats, umbrellas, chairs, boogie boards and more. It saves visitors from needing to pack and carry these things on their own. There are two showers in the suite, one spacious "rain shower" in the bathroom, and a refreshing outdoors shower, which is a real treat. Marney Craig, the owner is attentive and responds quickly and professionally. She maintains the property impeccably. We highly recommend staying at the Plumeria suite, and look forward to staying again. It's an ideal house in an ideal location, and would be a great choice for most anyone. It has been the home base for two paradisical vacations for us.

My travels have taken me all over the world, but Kauai always drew me back. Hanalei and the north shore of Kauai will never change, never be developed, never have hotels, condos, or very much tourist infrastructure. This most beautiful spot is protected and secure in it's beauty and appeal. What better spot to have a home to come to and to share with others.

What makes this property unique

My home is not only beautiful, charming, comfortable and inviting, but also very private and secluded, surrounded by beautiful gardens, and adjacent to a tropical hardwood forest. The foliage, the flowers, the birds, the sunrise, the relaxation of this wonderful environment, combined with the beach at Hanalei Bay and Hanalei town both being a very short walk from the house make it the ideal spot for the ultimate getaway.
