The property was beautiful and the home is rustic modern with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. It was a wonderful place for adult cousins to get together. With a gun range on site, we didn't have to travel to site our weapons. The bonus fire area was perfect and the Host was a wonderful family. Very clean and accommodating property. We will be back

Susan was amazing to work with. probably the best VRBO experience as far as owner communication I have ever experienced.The property is beautiful. We arrived a little too late in the year for the spring in front of the cabin to be running, so we’ll probably have to go back another time to be able to see it. lots of hiking and walking nearby.

So, this place looked amazing online. Upon arrival the creek had NO water in it which was a MAJOR selling point to want to book this place. We couldn't have a fire which was understandable given the recent fires in Spokane. We spent a pretty penny hoping to have one last vacation before our oldest son goes to college and it just didn't meet our expectations. There was drilling going on on the property while we were there and it interrupted the serenity we were hoping for. The host was very receptive and kind and I'm not one to put blame on anyone but we just expected so much more given the pictures we saw online vs our arrival. The cabin is very unique and they literally provide EVERYTHING you need but overall it was pretty disappointing for the amount of money we had to pay.

We strive to make our family heirloom Elk Mountain Ranch as enjoyable as possible for our guests. We have almost 300 Five Star Reviews and many of our guests come back every year. Unfortunately I have no control over the climate and weather with this being the driest season in 30 years........I'm very sorry this guests didn't read the listing details on VRBO which explain that we have 2 creeks, Searchlight Creek in front of the house runs year around and is still filled with water. Our listing explains that Marie Creek flows from late fall until about July 1st. This guest is upset that Marie Creek is not flowing in August/September, which is disclosed on the VRBO website.....We have 3 trout ponds with water that the guest could have swam in. .......With 700 homes having just burned in the Spokane wildfires, 30 miles to the west, we cannot have outside fires, so I'm sorry they culd not use the firepit........I contracted in April, 4 months ago, to have a new well drilled on a separate section of this 130 acre ranch and had no control or knowledge of when they would be able to drill the well. The well drillers were only on site and drilling less than 24 hours and that was the last day of this guest's stay. FOR HIS INCONVENIENCE, I OFFERED HIM AN EXTRA FREE DAY IF HE WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK ANOTHER TIME.

What a wonderful property! This trip surpassed our expectations. We traveled with family from 66-years to nine-months old. The property offered something for everyone. It was well stocked with all we needed and more. That goes for kitchen, bedrooms, baths, and grounds. The smoking grill worked beautifully and we used it often, along with the fire pit. This was one of the best, most enjoyable vacations our family has taken. The hosts were warm and inviting and easy to communicate with. We can't wait for our next visit.

Wha a neat property!! It was very fitting for a family Christmas… rustic and nostalgic with its own story. The property is full of so many opportunities to play and explore and the indoor space has a ton of options as well!What a gem! The great room and feeding the fish daily were top on our love list! So grand!

We had an amazing time at elk mountain ranch. So much to do and explore without having to leave the property. The house was well stocked with supplies and with those few things that tend to be forgotten when packing. Susan and Mike were so accommodating, we will definitely be back next year!

Absolutely beautiful property and a quirky but comfy lodge brimming with character. We didn't interact much with Susan or Mike but thats only because we didn't need to -- we had everything we needed and then some. Highly recommend!
