Dear tenant. We are pleased that you liked our house and that you were able to enjoy some wonderful vacation days by the sea. Although you gave us a lot of positive feedback, you were disappointed with the access to our house. We very much regret this. Please allow us to comment briefly on this: We always inform all guests in detail about the accessibility of our house via the booking system but also by e-mail: “The property can only be reached via a beach path (approx. 150 meters) with about 100 steps”. In our e-mail correspondence we also recommend to avoid large pieces of luggage on wheels as much as possible and to use handy travel bags if possible (our tip: large blue IKEA bags). In addition to various bags you also brought 5 large pieces of luggage on wheels with you. It was therefore certainly not very pleasant to carry all that luggage up at the end of your stay. Today, we took your valuable appraisal as an opportunity to measure the distance from the road (our private parking space) to our entrance very precisely, with the help of a hodometer, a measuring wheel: It is exactly 207 meters (less than 0,13 mile) and this path contains exactly 110 steps. Also, from our point of view, there can be no question of a “steep” path. Should you like to come back to our summer house, please next time come with less luggage. Our house is always well prepared for our guests (bed linen, towels, tablecloths, bathroom and kitchen textiles, etc.). Best regards, Your host.
