About laurie & Jim Sitkiewicz

My Husband and I are avid outdoor enthusiasts. I grew up in Colorado and began coming to the Teton Valley as a teenager and together we have been recreating in the Teton Valley for the past 20 years. We have stayed at many VRBO's and are excited to share our new purchase and dreams with others. We love to ski, mountain bike, hike, fly fish, fly small planes, and kayak.

laurie & Jim Sitkiewicz purchased this house in 2013

Why laurie & Jim Sitkiewicz chose Teton Valley

This property was finally what we were looking for after many years! Tons of light, views of the Grand Teton, Grand Targhee Ski Area, and the Big Hole Mountain Range. Close to Ski Hill Road to take full advantage of the great Grand Targhee Powder yet you get the feeling that you are off the beaten path. The home has 2 completely separate living quarters and thus we would be able to try our hand at short term rentals. We prefer to stay in short term rentals when traveling and would like to offer what we feel will be your FAVORITE place to rent.

What makes this house unique

Close to town but off the beaten path.

A great place to enjoy the shoulder seasons, not quite summer, not quite winter--enjoy the biking on the park roads that are closed to vehicles. The ride from W. Yellowstone to Mammoth was spectacular this spring (2015) featuring buffalo, migrating water fowl & birds of prey, and elk. The ride into the South Teton Park entrance was just as spectacular. Lastly, above Slide Lake off the GrosVentre was breath taking--beautiful red rocks, full on Teton Views, and lots of wild life--this is definitely a ride to do during the fall with the foliage change!

Guestbook comments from the owner

“What a beautiful location. The picture of the space does not do justice to the property. The one bedroom space is quite comfortable and efficient. The entire back of the of the condo is surrounded by a beautiful deck which looks out a nothing but meadows, trees and the Grand Targhee ski resort. Our host and hostess were wonderful. They were very helpful and were truly interested in providing an outstanding experience for us. ”

The best rental for two people. Ever!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I begin? Surely with the over-the-top-ever-changing-view of the mountains from the back porch. I have enough pictures to fill a daily calendar. It never got old. That right there is enough to make this place paradise. We have rented many properties over the years, but none have been as well stocked as this one. We always bring tp, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, etc., but we never had to use any of it, because it was all here! We cook all our evening meals, and again, the kitchen equipment was great. The brand new shower was beautiful and awesome! I seriously can't find anything wrong with this place, except that I can't live here permanently! Laurie was always available to chat with by email if we needed to. We are retiring to Driggs, and will forever be grateful that we had this place to come back to each evening after a day of house hunting, hiking, and biking. It is truly the perfect place for a couple. Thanks so much for renting it to us, and we hope to meet you and Jim sometime down the road!

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time at Jim and Laurie's house. It's perfectly located in the Teton Valley, with easy access to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks! We also enjoyed exploring Driggs and Victor, ID. Both communities have yummy coffee, food, and craft beer choices!

The house was perfect for the two of us. We especially loved the view from the deck and out the kitchen window. And we slept like logs in the king-sized bed. Super comfy!

Laurie was quick to respond to all of my questions and messages.

Updated Bliss

There's no place like home.... unless you stay here!!!:) From the king sized bed, upon which we slept like babies (best bed of our entire vacation by far!!) to the full sized washer and dryer and everything in-between, this apartment home has it all.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood just outside downtown Driggs, you'll find pastoral vistas and an awesome view of the back of the Tetons. From the back deck, it's a perfect spot for enjoying a warm cup of coffee in the morning to a glass of wine in evening as the sun sets.

And the town of Driggs has some of the best shopping, eateries and entertainment.... concerts, farmer's markets and even a drive-in movie theater just down the road. It's a very sweet and charming town.

We would stay here again and again!!

The property was terrific in every respect!!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Driggs. The unit was large, extremely clean and well located. We went in to Jackson Hole for dinner and then off to Yellowstone the next day and the traveling to both locations was very convenient. The unit is well laid out, well stocked and very comfortable.

Laurie did an excellent job with her up front communications. We found the home very easily, it was easy to operate the lock and all questions were answered. We strongly recommend this unit!

Great Base for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons Visits

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place for us when driving between Salt Lake City and Columbia Falls, Montana. We were looking for a place to visit Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We were able to do both from here. Waited until the last minute to book which just happened to fall between 2 other bookings for this place. I spent hours before I found this and as it turned out the other places we were considering were much further away or MUCH more expensive. This was a good value. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was fine (nice shower)! Great mountain view from the spacious deck. This filled our every need. You won't be dissappointed!

Loved the property and the comfort it gave us after long hikes in the mountains.

  • 5 of 5

A super place to stay with all the comforts of home. The provision of a laundry facility was a huge bonus as we were traveling for a three week period.

Location proved to be perfect for our needs. Close to Driggs for the essential grocery requirements and really good access to trail-heads and the fantastic hiking in the area.
