The Gravier School House features a collection of thoughtfully designed 1- and 2-bedroom residences, each with stylish modern finishes, open layouts, and all the essentials for a seamless stay. Guests can enjoy the rare convenience of secure gated parking, making it easy to explore the city by car while still being close to major attractions.
Located just outside the Central Business District, this home base puts you minutes from the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. The French Quarter is approximately 1.5 miles away (5–7 minutes by car), offering world-class dining, nightlife, live music, and historic architecture. Uptown New Orleans and the Garden District are about 5 miles away (15 minutes by car), known for their oak-lined streets, historic mansions, and charming local shops.
Whether you’re visiting for festivals, food, work, or leisure, 2228 Gravier Street offers a peaceful retreat with quick access to everything New Orleans has to offer — a perfect balance of comfort, location, and style.

Located just outside the Central Business District, this home base puts you minutes from the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. The French Quarter is approximately 1.5 miles away (5–7 minutes by car), offering world-class dining, nightlife, live music, and historic architecture. Uptown New Orleans and the Garden District are about 3 miles away (11 minutes by car), known for their oak-lined streets, historic mansions, and charming local shops.
Getting Around:
The property is located 2 (long) blocks (roughly 0.3 miles) from the Canal streetcar line which can bring you downtown to the world famous French Quarter or take you up through Mid-City, City Park and the Cemeteries. Our location is roughly a 7 minute uber/lyft from the french quarter. RTA bus service is available nearby on Tulane Ave. To access the french quarter, walk one block down to S. Galvez St and take a left toward Canal Street. Once at Canal Street, take the streetcar on the near side of the street and ride until over north Rampart Street. The French Quarter begins at N. Rampart Street and continues to the river. For a full streetcar and bus system map visit the NORTA website
Other Things to Note:
This apartment is located within a multi-unit building. In total, there are 17 rooms available for groups requiring additional accommodations. This listing requires the completion of a Rental Agreement with the Host. A copy of this agreement can be found under our additional house rules. Health, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out. In addition, we do not provide salt, pepper, or cooking oil. Feel free to contact us with any additional questions you might have.
Interaction with Guests:
After booking with us you will receive an automated email with instructions and links to our check in form and rental agreement. A few days before arrival you will receive a message with more details for your trip. Access codes are sent the morning of check in, provided our rental agreement and check in form are completed. Our team is standing by to address any questions or issues that might arrive before, during or after your stay.
