Ours is a one bedroom condo, on the top next to our corner unit #212 (2nd floor) of building #3, which is the second floor of a concrete building. The unit has a full kitchen and amenities. Our Lanai is a good size with ocean and beach views and there is a nice table and chairs on the lanai where we eat most meals. We have recently fully renovated our condo (down to the studs in every room) which means it is brand new. It is furnished with high-end appliances and furniture etc. Our bathroom is completely tiled with a very spacious shower, and all new towels etc. Kamaole beach II is directly in front of us, about 100 yds from the door. The pool and laundry room are about 100 ft. away. Restaurants and shops are 1/2 a block away. Our complex, Kihei Kai Nani, was one of the first two Kihei resorts built in the seventies. They could have chosen any of the beaches for miles around, but they chose Kamaole II, what more to say? Actually I should comment on our decision to not install a dishwasher, washer and dryer, We have been visiting our first condo in Kihei Kai Nani for about 35 years now, and have never felt the need for such appliances. Two people can surely wash dishes in a large double sink, and a washer and dryer take up a lot of space, and are very expensive to operate with Maui electricity costs. They give off heat, they are noisy, and they can leak and need repairs. When the laundry room is steps away, beside the pool where you often meet other vacationers, it is a no brainer. In our opinion, A/C in Hawaii is generally not necessary,, but we have installed quality units.for those that desire it, I have owned my 1st condo in Kihei Kai Nani for 35 years and have never lost a guest due to not having the appliances aforementioned. Finally, if you are looking for the cheapest deal, in KKN, then ours is not it, but I do believe for a few dollars more, we will give you the best deal for your money,
I am a retired firefighter, from Vancouver B.C. I first purchased in Kihei Kai Nani in 1974, early in 2013, we purchased the unit next door, and stripped it bare, to do a total reno which took 3 months.
Robert F. Wilson purchased this condo in 2013
My family has been visiting this area for more than 30 yrs, It was one of the first complexes built in Kihei, they picked the best beach, because they could. Our complex is concrete construction and therefore looks as new.
Location, location, 1 minute walk to beach and less, to one of the largest pools in Kihei
We've stayed at Kihei Kai Nani before, and this is by far the BEST condo in the complex. It was an absolutely delightful experience to stay here! The condo was completely renovated a few years ago, and they did an amazing job. We felt like we were honored guests, and not a renter from someone that bought a condo as an investment, and filled it with unmatched dinnerware and threadbare towels. Every single detail was considered, so that we could just move in and relax. We could even make margaritas and martinis, and yes, there were glasses available for both of these cocktails. Ironically, the fact that a dishwasher and washer/dryer was missing wasn't an issue at all. We just did a few dishes together everyday, which took a couple of minutes. The condo was much cooler without these appliances running - a good idea. The condo was comfortable all the time with the cross breezes and the sun shade on the lanai. Never a need to turn on the A/C. And it was also truly SPOTLESS, which was also very much appreciated. And I mean spotless, even the bathroom. And if we wanted to tidy up, all cleaning materials were available. This condo was very comfortable, it's right across the street from the beach (which you can see from the lanai), and it's quiet. A special shout out to Bob (the owner) about the lighting and fan system. Well thought out, convenient and innovative. Thanks for making this vacation a memorable experience!
I am a sports and business guy from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Like most men in my particular demographic, I don't really worry too much about travel details. Except for the one item that absolutely needs to be looked after....'HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE'. You see, I am older (65 years) and have learned the hard way - one very expensive divorce - the importance of making sure your spouse is content in her immediate surroundings.
I can safely say to all the other guys out there that Suite 213, 2495 South Kihei Road will give your wife a happy life. At least while she is on Maui. And that will go along way to making your visit to this resort the best it can be. Now whether that saves your marriage is an entirely different story. But hey...its a good start.
Donna is really, really happy with the accommodations. And if she is happy, I'm happy. Oh by the way...As I get older I'm starting to pay more attention to details. And I must say, "Bob's condo is a gem."
My husband and I loved staying here! It is newly remodeled and has a very clean comfortable feel to it. You also have access to things you need for the beach. The location is absoluteley perfect too! It is right across from a great beach and walking distance to restraunts and shops. I would highly reccommend staying here on your next trip to Maui!
If you are reading this review you are probably trying to decide which condo to stay at in Kihei. LOOK NO FURTHER!! Don't miss the opportunity to stay in this fabulous unit! It will be one of the best decisions you will ever make!
When we were looking for a place to stay in 2014 we knew which condo we wanted to stay at and searched through all the reviews and came across Bob's unit and were pretty sure this would be a great place to stay.......ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS WE HAVE EVER MADE!!!
As soon as we walked through the door we could see all the effort that has been put into this totally renovated unit. No money spared here!! This was Paradise.......We have arrived to our Paradise. All the reviews are testaments to what this condo has to offer and how much each of us has appreciated everything he has done!
Don't hesitate to book this unit, you'll never regret it! And yes......when it comes time to end your "Life of Paradise" you won't want to leave......we all feel the same way........so you have to keep coming back!! It's just that fabulous! ....We all keep coming back!
If you have a summer vacation time this unit has air conditioning to keep you nice and cool. We never have to use the air conditioning because the high quality fans in the unit keep you cool enough........and of course there's that beautiful ocean.....or the swimming pool to cool you off!! Enjoy!
MAHALO once again Bob!
We stayed in Bobs condo for 9 nights in April. Great location within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and excellent beaches! Condo was stocked with everything you will need to have a great time. Beach chairs, coolers, towels, and every kitchen gadget you can think of. Very comfortable beds & furniture, especially those leather chairs in the family room. Great to relax in after a busy day. We loved having breakfast on the lanai overlooking the beautiful ocean. We highly recommend this location.
No expense has been spared on this newly renovated suite. The bathroom's bright lighting and white and mosaic tiles feel fresh and modern. The large walk-in shower with sliding glass doors are convenient for people with mobility issues. The north facing bedroom is ideal when wanting a little more time to sleep in the morning without the sun entering through the windows. Modern hawaiian inspired furniture make for a substantial looking bedroom with plenty of drawers and closet space for your belongings to be tucked away. The ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room are powerful and help keep the temperature down on those warmer evenings. The living room has ample sitting areas with comfortably new furniture and tasteful hawaiian themed artwork. The kitchen is very well equipped with every appliance you could need. We found this especially helpful when making breakfast and dinners at home on the days we didn't want to go to a restaurant. The satellite tv and internet are a nice bonus when you want a little break from the sun indoors or when retiring for the night.
The view of the ocean and the sounds of the waves can be enjoyed from the lanai outside the living room. There is something special about enjoying your coffee out on the lanai while listening to the birds start their morning chirping ritual while watching the waves roll by.
Bob is invested in ensuring his guests have the best possible trip while staying on Maui. He provided us with plenty of suggestions for activities and restaurants. Most of which we explored and enjoyed. Fred's Mexican Cafe is conveniently located next-door to the complex where you will find the best tacos on Maui! They also serve a great breakfast which we had recommend to us and thoroughly enjoyed. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to pickup groceries.
Kamaole 2 Beach, in our opinion, is the best of the Kihei beaches with opportunity for snorkelling on calmer days, boogie boarding, or just relaxing and developing a nice tan. We can not wait to come back for more Maui adventures!
It is Hawaii, no need to say much after that, I will boast that, in our opinion, there is no nicer beach anywhere than Kameole II, and since our condo was stripped down to bare walls, it is now a new unit, with all new appliances and furnishings, impossible to find a unit in our area, cleaner or nicer, check out pics
