This newer log style cabin in quiet upper Moonridge is the perfect place to lodge any season of the year. This section of Moonridge is the prime location, where it snows more often and last longer. Nestled off a quiet, picturesque street with no through traffic, it's perfect for kids and pets. Close enough to the slopes of Bear Mountain to walk or ski down to, yet far enough not to be disturbed. Take an easy stroll a half block up the street and you're in the National Forest where you can enjoy sledding in the winter, mountain biking, hiking or a scenic off-road drive in the summer. Just a 2 minute drive down the street is the golf course and zoo, while a 5 minute drive will take you to the lake, village, and nearby shops and restaurants.

The cabin itself is warm and inviting, with an accommodating 1,830 square foot open concept floor plan and vaulted ceilings. There's a large gas / wood burning rock fireplace in the main living area. All the amenities and comforts of home include a fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances, a walk in pantry and full sized laundry room.

Bedroom 1, the master suite, king size bed, a large Jacuzzi tub, oversized shower and walk-in closet.

Bedroom 2, guest room, queen bed and private access to a full bath.

Bedroom 3, sleeps 6 and is perfect for the kids and teens with two bunk beds, being twin and full.

Next to the mud room and laundry is a quarter bath.

The setting here is beautiful. And you can take it all in from the massive front deck which is partially covered so you can enjoy the surroundings all year round. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I are the proud parents of five children. We both have lived in Southern California our whole lives'. We currently live in the Hollywood Riviera area in Redondo Beach where we've resided for the past 20 years, raising our children and enjoying the beach community.

Why Todd Pond chose Moonridge

For years we owned a cabin in this area of Moonridge and regretfully sold it some years ago because it was difficult to find the time to use it. Our kids schedules with sports and other numerous activities kept us plenty occupied. For years now we have been discussing buying another property in this part of Big Bear that had always felt so much like home to us. We'd been waiting for the right place to come onto the market, and it had to be in this part of Moonridge. Because for us this truly is the best area. Here, you're in a close nit community and not part of the main flow of tourist near the town, village and lake. While these are all very cool places to visit, we don't want to spend our relaxing time away from home there. (Though some might) Also up here, you are really 'in the mountains', close to the National Forest and skiing. We love it.

What makes this cabin unique

One of the selling points for us, (beside the perfect location) was the large front deck surrounded by tall pines and oak. It's the perfect part of the cabin where you'll want to relax and BBQ in the summer months. There is no through traffic on our street, which makes it extremely quiet and perfect for the kids and dog. Inside, we love the open concept floor plan. It adds a lot of volume to the living space.

Enjoyed the stay.

We had a great time. The cabin was comfortable, clean and spacious. Close to town. The owner (Todd) was easy to work with. Parking is limited however. Holds two large vehicles comfortably. No street parking. And while not quite close enough to walk in ski boots, the cabin is close enough to the slopes to hear the snow blowers at night. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star rating is an upgraded TV and an actual hot tub. We missed the part about the "hot tub" actually being a jetted bath. Would do it again.

Perfect cozy cabin

We had a wonderful stay for thanksgiving at this property! It was perfect from the time we first walked into the door. It was comfortable and my family had a very relaxing time. The kids enjoyed the air hockey table and the bunk beds! We would definitely hope to stay here again next year.

WONDERFUL WINTER STAY !

Our couple of days in this beautiful cozy cabin were so great!. It snowed while we were here and it was amazing to watch . My kids got to play in the snow on the patio , we played board games that were there and everybody loved the foosball table.The cabin was very spacious and provided everything we needed . It was clean and beds were comfortable. My entire family was very pleased . We certainly will be back . Thankyou todd for sharing your beautiful home!

Another Wonderful Weekend in the Mountains

This was our 3rd year visiting the cabin and it was once again a great experience. The cabin is well stocked and clean. It's nice not to have to bring anything extra. The new grill was great! The weather was cool and perfect for hiking! We will be back and will recommend to our friends as a great place to stay!
