Terrific location right in the heart of the loop. Walkable to incredible sights, things to do, etc.—would be perfect for first-time visitors to Chicago. Host was extremely responsive and very helpful. They are not located on-site, but provide phone numbers, emails, and other ways to contact them. They responded very quickly in most cases. Room was clean and tidy. Included many very convenient features (washer, dryer, dishwasher, iron, etc.). Appreciated that they included a couple of Tide Pods, as I wouldn’t have thought to bring my own detergent. That really came in handy. One thing is that the listing originally said the room was soundproof, but it is definitely not soundproof. You can hear others who are staying when they walk in the hall (didn’t hear anyone in nearby rooms though) and can hear the train. Fortunately they include a white noise machine and earplugs. Bed was firm but fairly comfortable. Blankets are very warm. Didn’t love the pillows but to each their own. Curtains are not black out curtains, so would suggest bringing a sleep mask if light bothers you. There are also several lights from electronics that light the place up. Air conditioner works fairly well. It did make a clicking noise one night that briefly bothered me. It seemed to stop after about half an hour. Not sure what happened. Also really appreciated the lockers for storing luggage before checkin. I unexpectedlarrived several hours before my check in time, was great to store my things.
