Beautifully restored home in a peaceful setting.
If you are ready to get away from all the hustle and yet be within easy reach of a good restaurant or beautiful Lake Michigan, this is the place to be. All the comforts in a compact package. We loved the remodeled kitchen, the restored woodwork, the deck and hot tub, the hammock and the firepit. Our three-generation family felt right at home. The owner was responsive, and Elsa, the caretaker next-door, was a delight.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad your family enjoyed your week in Saugatuck. You were such a lovely group to host. Enjoy the rest of your summer! -Gary
Recommend HH at the highest level!
The Heartland House is so well equipped you’ll think ypu’ve Moved your own home to a beautiful, 2acre vacation property! We were able to prepare complete dinners for 13 people without missing a beat. The kids truly enjoyed the expansive yard and adults took full advantage of nights around the fire pit! So easy to check in and out. The location could not have been better for beaching, shopping, boat rides and more!
Heartland House has it all, a serene outdoor area and amazing indoors. We had a ton of rain while we were there and we still could be outside on the large front porch. The house itself is beautifully laid out, with tons of sitting area, a large dining room for large groups. The kitchen was outfitted with everything you needed to cook and serve large groups. It is a short walk to town on a pedestrian walkway, you just feel like you are in your own private green island. I would recommend this to anyone I know who is coming to Sagautuck.
Thanks so much for your review! I'm so glad you had a good stay at Heartland House, and agree with you on the rain - the porch is my favorite place to be during rain! All best to you - Gary
What a really nice place in a town that's really nice.
Loved the place. Huge with five bedrooms and three full baths. We enjoyed the patio (grilled some hamburgers), the front porch and all the other rooms in this big house. Very nicely kept and supplied. The brand new kitchen came out great. You're going to love staying here.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I hope you are having a wonderful summer! -Gary
Beautiful spacious home for our families!
We loved all of the common areas in the house. The bedroom setup worked well for our three families. Kitchen was small, but well equipped. We liked the location of the house, too. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay that we would highly recommend!
Thanks so much. As for the kitchen, we began demo-ing today. While folks usually love the slightly updated 1940s kitchen, the new one will feature more counter space, more cabinets and a better layout for organization. It will be done by end of April, and we can't wait!
Heartland House is perfect for our family get-together.
The house is warm and cozy and has everything we need to make our Thanksgiving dinner. Kitchen is extremely well equipped. The owner is wonderful to work with. We love the house and the town. Lovely shops and restaurants.
A 15-minute walk or quick bike ride to downtown Saugatuck. The bike trail at the entrance to the Heartland House property can take you to Saugatuck Dunes State Park and Holland.
