About this property

Woods Creek Chalet is nestled on 2 acres with spectacular river and mountain views. Just a 25-minute drive to Stevens Pass ski area with serene hiking destinations, fishing, horseback riding, and river rafting nearby. Best of all we are pet friendly!
If you are bringing a pet please be sure to indicate so when making your reservation. Pet fee applies.
Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath chalet is ideal for for 2-4 people, but can accommodate up to 5 people. The master suite loft has a king bed, living area with full sized futon, desk, 50" TV and DVD player, and private balcony. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed and closet and is across from the bathroom with heated floors and a walk-in shower (no bath).
The fully equipped kitchen and dining area has all the conveniences that a chef could ask for. Commercial gas range, fridge with subzero freezer, microwave, dishwasher, recycled glass and concrete countertops, breakfast bar, reclaimed wood dining table with seating for 6 and heated slate floors. Toaster, blender, rice cooker, crock pot, coffee maker and grinder, and Dutch oven.
The living room is complete with two leather sofas, live edge coffee table, and river rock and log wall with a 65" TV and DVD player. There are plenty of board games, puzzles, books, DVDs, everything for poker night, a stereo with surround sound, and Bluetooth speaker.
Entertain outside on a spacious deck with the gas grill. You can also relax in the Jacuzzi 5-person hot tub that has 23 jets and LED lights. We also have a back-up generator that automatically comes on during a power outage; it will keep the entire place running including the hot tub. The mini-split heat pump keeps the entire place cool in summer and warm and cozy in the winter.
The large yard is perfect for playing lawn games (bocce ball, corn hole, and badminton on site) and playing fetch with your dog. Lounge in the hammocks during the day and gather around the fire pit in the evening. There is also a charcoal grill in the yard and picnic tables. There is a trail that leads to the Skykomish River.
We do not guarantee that wood will be there for the fire pit, so we recommend bringing your own or purchasing some in Gold Bar, where several places sell bundles for a reasonable price.
There is a camera on the property that monitors driveway activity and does not face the chalet or the yard.

This was our second stay at this cabin and it was even better than the first. Very dog friendly, great location with view of the river/mountains, clean and very well equipped.
My husband and I loved staying at this little slice of heaven. Comfortable and quiet. Our only wish would to be for the river to be a little closer. But the sound from it was very soothing. We would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was amazing. The owners thought of everything you would need for your stay. The property was great! The only thing was there was a bit of a let down when the views of the river were overgrown but that was a small complaint compares to how great the place was!!! Close to so many differnt hikes. Id give it an A
Lovely, quiet property stocked with everything anyone would need! Very restful and quality supplies. Joanna was very responsive and supplied easy directions to the location. The only thing renters should know is that the river is difficult to get to and not visible from the chalet. Still, beautiful and we would stay again when we need a retreat and quiet getaway!
Wow such a beautiful spot, exactly what we were looking for. Easy river access, beautiful views, close to local hiking spots including the Iron Goat trail. The cabin was very well organized. Overall was so impressed with how well curated the experience was. They thought of everything.
We were able to hike Wallace Falls several times during our stay. Then getting in the hot tub after the hikes was a blessing. We walked along the river multiple times and watched several movies during the down pouring of rain. Very comfortable place to stay.
Amazing! This place was exactly what we needed! It was secluded and cozy during the cold weather! Joanna was very kind and willing to answer all of our questions! We are already discussing on when we could go back with our family.
The cabin was amazing, tucked away with a peek of the river. We were only a couple but plenty of room for more. We greatly enjoyed the hiking nearby and there seems to be lots of other outdoor activities. Husband was also impressed with their “AV” setup, the TV was a generous size and they had an excellent DVD collection.
My husband and I stayed here for the second time over Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time! The weather was chilly but so clear and beautiful. We got to enjoy the river and mountains during the day, and view the stars in the hot tub at night. We also appreciated the upgraded deck and bathroom since we'd visited last, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner our whole stay. The whole cabin was spotless and cozy (loved having the little Christmas tree in the living room). We really like visiting this area and the chalet is just perfect for us, hoping to come back again soon!
The cabin was exactly what we were looking for! The surroundings are quiet and peaceful being nested right on the river. We were lucky enough yo get some snowfall which made sitting in the hot tub that much more enjoyable. There was just about everything we could have asked for in terms of amenities. The huge TV and surround sound made watching soccer and movies that much better to wind down the evening, tons of DVDs to choose from as well as a wide selection of board games and puzzles. We would love to come back here for another stay!
Our childhood group of friends rented this Chalet for our annual get together. This was an incredibly pleasant stay, with a large lawn for yard games and hanging out by the fire pit. The access to explore the river and the surrounding region was excellent, and all of the house amenities were great. We enjoyed the hot tub and grilling on the deck quite a bit. There is a huge movie collection as well, although we spent most of our time outdoors it was nice to have a comfortable area to relax inside. We would definitely come back here!!
The cabin and location was wonderful. The owner has clearly put a lot of thought into what guests would like. The location on the river was so quiet and relaxing, I could feel my stress melting away. Definitely stop for groceries and supplies on the way to the cabin - the nearest store is fifteen minutes away. Very spotty cell coverage but I considered that a positive. The internet is very fast. I’m looking forward to staying again next year
We had the most lovely time here! The house has everything you could need to be comfortable and cook and relax. We didn’t realize it was a flat top grill outside and it was so much fun to cook on. Makes me want to get one at home! The yard is so exceptionally peaceful. There is one neighbor but you really can’t see them and can barely hear them so it felt like we were in our own little world. Two of the days we took our camping chairs down to the river and just sat there for hours reading and relaxing. I appreciated the cabin vibe of the house, yet the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were all super clean and spacious- so no real roughing it involved. We would happily be back!
Pros:
Very clean, private, cozy, heated floors, nicely stocked kitchen, big tv with lots of streaming services, fast Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, amazing deck, great hot tub, amazing grill ( after using it I had to buy one as soon as I got home, did not want to use my old one after seeing how amazing that one was ), communication with Joanna always very easy/fast, she is very accommodating. Second time staying here, can’t wait to be back.
Cons: wish the front door had some privacy glass instead of clear glass, or blinds. Would be nice if check-out was at 12 at least instead of 11, but like I said Joanna is very accommodating and can provide a late checkout if no other guest checks in on the same day.
Highly recommend!
My husband & I and our group of friends really enjoyed our stay at this chalet. It has a ton of amenities and a great yard with both a black stone and charcoal grill as well as lots of seating and picnic tables. They have 4 hammocks which was really nice to nap in. Also really dog friendly. A disclaimer is that on our last night there was a neighbor who walked onto the property and told us to lower the music even though it was 8pm on a Saturday and our music really was not blasting. We politely told her that we would lower the music right away but she still proceeded to threaten us with “waking us up at 3:30am with her diesel truck.” They also kept blowing a death whistle to try to intimidate us into not spending time outside. Thankfully, my husband recognized the sound and we were not scared off. Other than that, the location was great and owner was very responsive.

A true gem
It’s hard to say that the pictures do not do the place justice - but truly a gem. Not enough can be said about the owners (and their maid...). Everything is kept immaculate. Everything is labeled with information. The rules are what you’d expect for your own cabin and ensure that you know you’d want to come back.
Two heads up to be aware of:
1) No internet but you do get cellphone reception ... keep in mind it is minimally so outside the cabin. None when you are inside. Not an issue but it’s good to know in advance.
2) If you are looking for absolute complete seclusion - from the deck to the west side (to your left when walking up the stairs to the deck) there are a few smaller camping / RV / cabins that can be seen. There is greenery growth that will eventually fill that area I’d guess. Still, be aware that it’s not completely isolated though you can appreciate that the property is the size of five (5)! of those other areas. Like I said, it’s truly a gem.
Thank you for providing the perfect getaway!

We hope that the shrubs will vigorously grow back. The neighbors decided to trim them over summer. This is the first time we have even seen into their property in the 10 years since we've been there. Unfortunately, there is no quick fix for a natural privacy screen. We will be doing some planting this fall too.
We had a great time at Woods Creek Chalet. It is very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed all of the outdoor games, the hot tub, the fire pit and the river. Local hikes and towns were awesome. Really enjoyed both Snohomish and Leavenworth. We would stay here again!
We had a great time at this rental! They had all the amenities we needed and there were a few hikes to waterfalls in the area. Enjoyed the hot tub at the end of some active days.
Beautiful property and well kept. Everything you really need is stocked and well thought out. Neighbors close by in case you’re looking for something more secluded.
Had a great time. The cabin is comfortable and clean with all amenities and conveniences of home. Enjoyed walking down to the river, hanging out on the deck, and soaking in the hot tub. My only complaint might be the number of steps to climb up and down from the yard to the deck, but that is only because of my bad knees and difficulty with stairs. I know most people probably wouldn't mind that. We ventured over to the quaint little town of Skykomish for a few hours on one of our days there, which was fun. Our Boston Terrier enjoyed the nice big yard at the cabin to run around in and chase a ball too. Overall, I would say it was a great experience and would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to get away for a little getaway.
The cabin is beautiful and well maintained with wonderful views. The host is very responsive if you need to ask any questions. Highly recommend!
