Guestbook comments from the owner

This cabin was great. Lots of property on a beautiful part of the Skykomish River. A few friends of mine and I got together for a night of poker and catching up, followed by a little hiking the next day. It was hard to leave the cabin that morning because the view from the porch was so nice! The cabin is beautiful on the inside with all the amenities you'll ever need. I'd recommend this place to anyone who asked.

A great couples get-away

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely time staying in the cabin and when I could not figure out how to turn on the stove the owners were very helpful! Great location for skiing at Stevens and Bubba's in Sultan was lots of fun with live music on Saturday night.

The property is beautiful. Secluded and open. A short walk to the river with a great view.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the chalet! Joanna was really helpful. We ended up getting about a foot of snow the weekend we stayed. She gave us a warning about the weather and offered a plow if needed. (Luckily we were fine) The chalet was super cozy for the winter getaway. The hot tub on the deck with a wonderful view of the river, got hours of use. The outside fire pit was perfect for the cold winter evenings. The chalet was welcoming and clean. We loved the huge collection of movies and games! I couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay for a short weekend getaway. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful private cabin - perfect to escape the city

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time - minor issue with being out of fuel for the fireplace, but the managers/owners sorted it out no problem. We got really lucky with the weather and had 3 perfectly clear days in February, and it couldn't have been more beautiful. Cabin stayed nice and cozy after a bit of a warming up period, even with it freezing outside. Enjoyed heading over to the café in Skykomish (highly recommended), though mostly we packed in our own food. The kitchen had everything we needed (including random things like a cheese grater) and the place was in good condition - we watched a lot of movies (from the cabin library) and spent a lot of time just hanging out.

The walk down to the river is short, might be a bit difficult for folks with mobility issues as there is a bit of a hill, and you will be walking over river rocks (depending on the level of water naturally) but overall I would call it quite easy, and spectacular viewing.

There are neighbors nearby, but you only really notice it when driving in/out of the property, as the trees keep things nicely separated - the time spent at the cabin definitely felt like we were in our own little world - we didn't see or hear anyone the entire days we were there, other than when driving in/out.

Would love to go back when the weather isn't freezing so we could spent more time outside, but it was a nice cozy getaway during the winter as well.

We had plenty of space, snow, and great movies to watch.

I think this cabin may be even better suited for summer trips. Fire pit and picnic tables near the river. Rain kept us indoors.

Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time! What a great way to bring in the New Year with love, laughter and Nature. The cabin is warm and updated with heated floors and a gas stove. Kitchen is stocked reasonably well, but be sure to bring spices and any cooking items you can't do without. It is not stocked as a chefs kitchen. The back deck is the highlight of the cabin, overlooking the river. It's a two minute walk to a gorgeous rocky beach. We spent hours wandering down the river rock hunting and watching Hawks scout for food. We didn't see a soul. Likely the time of year, but it was nice to feel completely off the grid. Our only suggestion to the owners is to ensure there is more biofuel for the indoor fire and ensure the long lighter is full. There was a large storm that knocked the power out one night, luckily we brought a lighter with us, or we would have been freezing without the ability to light the biofuel fireplace. A minor issue, but worth mentioning. It's also pet friendly, so we brought our Cocker Spaniel, who had a blast! We will definitely stay again.
