Newly remodeled from top to bottom, each level of this 5BR/3BA home offers separate heat controls to ensure your group's comfort. Other pleasing household amenities include a specialty magnetic induction cooktop and garage parking.



Nestled between hiking and biking trails, Tahoe Donner offers access to a private beach, downhill ski resort, cross-country trails, and an equestrian center. Check out the Trout Creek Recreation Center's pools, and fitness center for a small daily fee.



Tahoe Donner fine dining is just around the corner. Award-winning Lodge Restaurant & Pub serves up classic bistro-style cuisine, and Alder Creek Cafe is your go-to for farm-fresh lunches.



LIVING AREA



Soaring windows line the open-concept living room, furnished with a sectional, recliner, and 40in TV. A wood-burning stove is surrounded by an impressive hearth and adds warm ambience.



KITCHEN & DINING



The newly remodeled kitchen features ample counter space and stainless steel appliances, including a specialty magnetic induction cooktop. The breakfast bar offers seating for two, while the adjacent dining room seats six.



BED & BATH



There are two bedrooms on the lower level with access to the deck. The primary bedroom has a king bed, armchairs, and a 20in TV. The second bedroom features a twin daybed. The shared bath boasts a double vanity and a tub/shower combination.



On the third floor, the third bedroom has two twin beds. The fourth guest room offers a queen bed, bay windows, chair, and en-suite bathroom with a double vanity and walk-in shower. Find a queen bed in the fifth bedroom, and a walk-in shower in the shared bathroom.

Step out to the expansive two-story deck to enjoy woodsy views, a gas grill, and comfy outdoor furniture.

Your reservation includes two passes that allow a total of eight guests to access the Trout Creek Recreation Center for a nominal daily fee per person. We were a multi generational family of 9. We loved the privacy of the bedrooms and the open concept communal area . It was perfect for us.The location was excellent , easily allowing us to run into town or the lake.

Love the updated kitchen & baths. Kitchen was well stocked. 5 bedrooms was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 2 children. Wood burning stove is a really nice feature as well as a washer & dryer.

Well furnished house made for a relaxing stay

This house is really lovely inside and very well furnished, especially the kitchen. The spacious layout and comfortable furniture made it a pleasure to hang out with family before and after our outdoor activities. After staying in a really crappy rental in Tahoe Donner just a month before, it was such a relief to be in a house where everything worked and everything you could need for a comfortable stay was provided. Our 6-year-old enjoyed the kids' toys, books and games and ping-pong table in the garage. The adults enjoyed the very modern kitchen, spacious bedrooms and peaceful deck for outdoor dinners. We would have appreciated a slightly later checkout so our kid could finish her online distance learning for the day, but at least the wifi worked well.

Beautiful home in a great location. Had everything we needed.

All rooms were excellent. We had very cold week with outside in the low 20s. House was a little colder than we wanted. Had a "GFI fault" msg in the main bedroom bathroom. Called the manager and they said they were aware of it and told us how to reset it. We did so but it tripped again in a few hours. This was troubling because we didn't know what caused it.

Nice house

Overall, this was a nice home to stay at. The house is beautiful, the kitchen is mostly stocked (bring a sponge for dishes, only a scrubber was included), there were enough toiletries. Cons: kitchen cabinet doors and handles were sticky, oil was splattered on the shelves aboved the stovetop, there was a bowl on one of the top shelves filled with oil or fat or something, the sheets/bedding had stains on them (thankfully we brought our own blankets). The trundle bed was super uncomfortable, we could feel the springs in it, which also sucked but we did bring a blow up mattress with us as a back up. Overall, if these couple things were fixed, we might consider staying here again, but have been to much nicer cabins in the area over the last few years.

Property was great, Vacasa was not

The property was very nice. The house was very nice. However, when we arrived, there was a full load of wet linens in the dryer and a full load of wet towels, that we needed, in the washer. There was also leftover food on the broiler pan above the double oven in the cupboard. After traveling all day from Florida to California, we had to clean all of those items. We let Vacasa, the property management company know about this the day we arrived and took pictures for them. They told us they were sorry and would get back to us, but never did. They charged us a full cleaning fee and when I asked VRBO to help with this situation, they were no help either. We’ve never had this happen before with VRBO. This situation will make us think twice before booking with the combination of Vacasa and VRBO in the future.

Nice decent place to get away :)

I stayed for two nights with a group of 7 friends. The Master bedroom downstairs was peaceful and cold (which I personally loved). Only thing that scared me was the Potato Bug when I opened the garage door uggghhhh. But thats the garage area so I'm sure thats normal to get bugs like that. I did see a cricket in the downstairs bathroom which i killed.....super random. Upstairs: My friends only did not like the plumbing in the upstairs bathroom. Toilet was weak to flush and the shower head with the bedroom was not coming out correctly. The kitchen: very nice and spacious. We mostly cooked since that was the idea to stay indoors in a cute place. The patio was nice too. We did spend a small amount out there when air quality was not too bad. Its a lovely and quiet neighborhood! The whole house is spacious and large and overall a good experience. :)

It was OK...

We have stayed at many VRBO's and several in Tahoe Donner. This one was OK. Not terrible by any means -- and we have stayed in terrible -- but not fantastic. The biggest surprise was dealing with Vacasa. Upon arrival we reported that a rec pass was missing (which meant not everyone in our party could enjoy the amenities) and they never followed up. The next day we reported water under the kitchen sink -- again no follow up until I texted again the next day, concerned that it was perhaps a leak and damage would occur. Finally, the downslope driveway was not plowed, despite all other roads all over TD and Truckee being clear, making the approach to the tight garage very treacherous to navigate. Reported that too....you guessed it, no response. Not sure if the owners are getting their moneys worth with the property manager. The house was fine -- family room is very small; six of us fit ok -- 10 would not fit for sure. Beds were old and uncomfortable but doable for 3 nights. Couch is stained in many places and blankets/throws do not smell as though they are laundered. I liked the multiple thermostats upstairs and down to better control temp on multiple levels and the heated bathroom floors are wonderful. Kitchen was well enough stocked to make cooking easy. Location is great for kids or beginner skiers. On balance maybe you get what you pay for -- this one is not as $$ as others in the neighborhood.

House was a great fit for our large family. Excellent location with easy access to all that Truckee offers. Clean, well stocked kitchen. We would go back without hesitation.

Was spacious and comfortable, really loved the heated floors in the bathrooms!! Probably wouldn’t be a good choice for those that have trouble with stairs. Would definitely stay here again!!

Easy and Fun

We had no problems booking the property and there was plenty of communication in regards to getting into the home. It's in a nice are of Truckee and close to downtown and the shops. The house was clean, comfortable, and big. There was plenty of room and the bedrooms were a little spread out so everyone could have their own space. That was a nice feature. My son loved the Ping Pong table. We would come back again.

Weekend Getaway

A very nice place. Great location. Well stocked and a nice layout. We all enjoyed the space and surrounding areas. The only complaint is that check in was at 4:00 pm. and we were not allowed access to exactly 4. We had driven a long way and arrived shortly after 3:00 p.m. So we waited in the car for an hour uneccesarily I feel.

Beautiful home

Our group had a wonderful stay at this home. There was plenty of space for everyone and it was so cozy and warm. We will definitely stay again!
